A good sorc that knows how to focus down guys that the mdps are having locked down instead of alttabbing dots will STILL top damage over anything besides a decent 2.6 smasher, and be an absolute pain to kill. In regs. From all the classes I have on 55pvo, my balance sage is the most efficient energy invested / number of top reg dps spots, by a long shot. That char isnt even geared, and Im pretty mediocre compared to the real top balance/madness players on our server. When im playing carnage i have to be in shape, drank coffee, habe no lag, and be warmef up to keep up with some of my buddies who are really great at mara. Earlier today I had a game where all those conitions were met, and i managed to stay within 5% of someone I consider to have mastered the spec. Next game I had big lagspikes and i didnt hit half his damage, lol. On my sage I can just q stoned and hammered and sleep my way to top 3 dps (and i don't tabdot). So yeah, maybe not better, but alot easier for sure.

So I play alot of mara. I m nowhere close ti being the best on server or anything, but i guess I m decent. I think that people are overreacting a bit about the smash nerf. Sure It won't be top dps with a 30% margin in regs anymore... but it will be still a perfectly valid pressure spec, Probavly close to vengeance in effectiveness. Less bursty than carnage, but harder to counter if played by a skilled player. People forget how fluid rage plays. And yes ut actually has 1 more buttin to press than carnage Thing is that given its fluidity and the clunkyness and learning curve of carnage, I wont be looking down on the GOOD smashers that will continue to kill/pressure healers with me. Also from devposts im oretty sure there will be further modifications to the soec, wgich might turn out interesting. TLDNR: Smash isnt REALY DED , CONCEALMENT is Myriam, your friendly speedboost bot.
