  1. Your perception that a person who is just starting this game and is asking a question... Doesn't know the things he asked a question about.... Is astounding. .... Please put down the keyboard and go back to school.
  2. Biggest reason for macros, imo is situationally available abilities. I.e. the trooper shot that's only up when the target is disabled. Would be nice to prioritize that without staring at your cast bar for it to light up. And yes, the executes. Target at 50% health, obviously unavailable... But down around 40%, you start either wasting gcds waiting for execute to be ready... Or spamming other abilities and only having a chance to execute when the target is down to 15% health and there's no point using it over another skill that would likely finish off the target. Essentially, less time staring at your action bars, waiting for reflex abilities is a good thing.

    macros.

Not talking about ago bots... Just a simple command string to reduce the number of buttons needed without having to memorize alt/ctrl/shift combinations. Simple strings like: Cast (ability that's only available if target has a dot on them, or other qualified states) Cast (ability b used on cooldown) Cast (generic spam ability that doesn't take resources) Still press one button per cast... But would allow you to prioritize casting abilities that are only available some of the time without having to stare at spell icons to see when they're not greyed out anymore. If the first ability is unavailable or out of range, it casts the next ability down the line... Whichever is the first valid ability.
  4. Well... And guild wars... No macros there, but it was balanced around 8 skills at a time. Tibia-macros were required to play. Ragnarok online-macros Everquest-macros City of heroes/villains-macros. (required for MMs) Champion online-macros World of noobcraft-macros Rift-macros basically required. Swtor: macros against ToS for being unfair (even if they're available to everyone). But you can buy our official keyboard and mouse that serve similar purposes.
  5. The ability to use macros like every successful mmorpg
  6. Which tree were you using to get that dps at that level? In PvP vs. Pve multitarget vs. Pve single target? Were you just spamming snipe? Or what rotation was available at 14?
  7. (true, you can get advanced in a few hours... But with a family I can usually only play an hour here or there... So for me, rerolling a level 20 sucks).
  8. Didn't assume it would be double normal range... But being immobile in exchange for 2 steps worth of range doesnt seem like an attqctive trade off... And now the only way to go ops is reroll. ...irreversable decisions shouldn't be made after a day or two of game play...
  9. Seems like in the time it takes to hit with a snipe, I could hit the free shot twice and do similar damage over that period of time.
  10. I'm just starting out, just hit level 20... And I'm really disappointed so far. I figured "sniper" would be all about using superior range... Yet... At least so far, my abilities are 35 yards... Which seems to be about the same as every other ranged class. At the moment, snipe and ambush also seem to do pretty mundane damage considering such a long wind up on our signiture ability. When does sniper start to stand out?
  11. Thanks. Combat support cell at 14. That's what I was looking for.
  12. So I think it's bounty hunters that seem to shoot their allies to heal them... Which skill is that, do combat medics get a version of that? And if so, what's that called? I assume ours is kelto bomb? When I've seen bounty hunters use it, it seems it can be used while moving with a pretty much instant cd
