I was excited when BW announce KotFE. They promised us focus on original storytelling, choices that matter etc. I never thought Bioware would screw up the game! Boy was I wrong! In fact, they bring us simple and foolish story like endings in ME3 without respect to any of player choices. You may click any of 1, 2, 3 - the same final are doomed for you. And they just abandon any others aspects of MMO - PVP, end-game PVE, RP.

My wishlist for 4.0: - Don't be forced to carbonite. - Don't lose my companions, my ship, my position in the universe - don't lose my life! - Remove all this Zakuul / Eternal Empire nonsense that made all previous story irrelevant. - Continue to fight for Empire / Republic, for order / freedom. - May be some fight with Vitiate (not with his meatbag Valkorian). That is all I wish for. In fact, no one of my heroes never play through KotFE (youtube playthrough is enough for me). They will stay in the universe 5 years back from KotFE unil BW will return to original story of Empire vs Republic conflict.

When I started SWTOR as F2P, I found myself liked the story and overall gamedev course. At some point I decide that it cost $77.94 for 6 months to get beyond level 50 and get access to end-game content.

You are totaly wrong. We (players) need to get them to play! There is no matter who play the game (sub, pref or f2p). The number of players online is the only matter for us. EA need to get them to pay RL money. CM packs is good enough. No one (not us, nor EA) need to get them sub really.

There is two aspects of subscription: access to content (story, FP, WZ, Ops, GSF etc.) and QoL-features (credit cap, bars, purple gear, crew skills, GTN-slots etc.). The only way to build strong bound for players to stay subbed is content access. No one will pay $15/month just for QoL-features.

It's not working that way. Not for everyone, not for me. In fact, I don't like new content (KotFE) that why I will unsub. There is no way to hold me subbed with restrictions. I will sub again when (and if) EA/BW make some new content that I will be want to play.

Same here. I was F2P. Ask my wife to join me. We were playing several months. Buy some CC for unlocks. Then we make a decision to pay subscription for half-year for both of us. It was almost 2.5 years ego. And we are subscribers by now, but not for long. We like old SWTOR - that is why we became subscribers. We don't like KotFE. We don't want to support that direction anymore. So when we finish act 3 storyline for last pair of characters, we will cancel our subscriptions. For some time. We look forward and have a hope that things changes and BW/EA give us a good reason to subscribe once more.

"Bells and whistles" you say? Really??? Free access to Operations, FP, WZ, GSF, KotFE content - is it all "bells and whistles"??? If it is true then "I have a bad feeling about" SWTOR future. It's a really bad if all end-game content for subscribers is just "bells and whistles". (Yoda voice) No future I can see.
