  1. It’s the best way to spread your referral code
  2. Every server has a pve and pvp instance. There isn’t any specific server for pvp anymore. I’d recommend just picking the server closest to you (to reduce latency). Satele Shan does have the largest population.
  3. I didn’t read all the comments, but here’s a video on
  4. If you need to make credits quick, you can use 2 methods: sell Cartel Market items, or buy low, sell high. For the Cartel Market, you want to buy items worth a lot on the GTN. For the buy low, sell high method, you just buy items on the GTN for cheap, then sell them for a higher price. You have to watch prices though, and make sure you know it will sell for the price you are selling it for. You can also just go on YouTube and look up videos about making credits.
  5. There are multiple ways to make credits. The easiest is to by items from the Cartel Market, and sell them on the GTN. Currently the Revan Reborn armour is on sale, spend $40 on some Cartel Coins, buy that armour, and you can sell it for probably at least 50 million credits. If you wait a few months, the price will go up and you can sell it for 100 million+ credits. You can also do Heroics. A planet's worth can get you at least 250 000 credits. Playing the GTN, buying low, selling high, can also make credits. You basically buy an item for cheap, then sell it for more. You have to make sure it will sell though. I watch a YouTuber by the name of SWTOR TV. His videos usually either talk about making credits, or are related to it. You can also just go on YouTube and look up how to make millions of credits.
  6. I want the Oricon operations to be solo-able. I don't care for the awards or anything, I just want the feeling of finishing the story. It's bothering my OCD!!
  7. Can we have the option to choose the order we put our toons in rather than the order being the last one wee used?
  8. I don't think it's something people generally do unless there's a super simple way to contacting them. "Super simple" being a quick Whisper in game, or someone who is a text away.
  9. Grats! Hope you are enjoying it!
  10. You can also watch this video to zoom out more.
  11. I'd say here, Community Content, or General Discussions.
  12. In my opinion, tanking classes are best for soloing, so that that makes Guardian/Juggernaut, Shadow/Assassin, and Vanguard/Powertech. Now, depending on if you care about the weapon your character uses, and the faction, you can single out some classes. Of the listed classes, the Juggernaut is my favourite to play, but the Guardian is my favourite class, because of the story, Clone Wars, and how it's pretty much KOTOR 3. Guardians/Juggernauts, I think, were the most OP class in PVP during Patch 4, I don't know if it was nerfed in patch 5. Don't choose a class because it's currently the most powerful as Bioware and EA will probably change that to balance the classes out. Shadows/Assassins have stealth, and Assassins use lightning, which is pretty cool. Shadows also have some pretty cool Force attacks that I think looks better than the lightning. I haven't played Vanguard/Powertech very much so I wouldn't be able to tell you what I think of the class. The Bounty Hunter story is pretty lacklustre, in my opinion, but I've heard a lot of people like it. The Guardians/Juggernaut and Vanguard/Powertech use heavy armour, while Shadows/Assassins use light armour. This makes a slight difference in combat. This isn't a very in depth breakdown, mostly because I play for Star Wars, and not competitively. In the end, you should just pick a class that suits your play style and stands out to you, whether it's the story, abilities, companions, weapons, etc. It's also pretty easy to level your characters now so you shouldn't stress too much when choosing a class. And they are adding some new features to allow you to transfer end game armour between toons.
  13. I think you can still get lightsabers with colour crystals as a drop. You could also take the crystals out of previous weapons with crystals, even blasters and such. The crystals on the GTN are fairly cheap and if you ask around, I'm sure someone would be willing to help you get one you like.
  14. Now The Harbringer is the only server that has lots of players. Every other server is pretty much dead.
  15. This DvL event doesn't give rewards like the previous one. It's more just affects the server you're on. You can't really not participate in it. There's a toggle at the bottom right of your screen (I think) where you can change whether you fight for the dark side or the light. If you chose light, for example, you will get around 50 light side points towards your character after complaining missions, no matter what choices you make. Dark side choices will just cancel them out. Also, the overall dark side or light side points given on the server every 30 minutes, or an hour (don't remember), will be added up and go towards how light or dark the server is overall. This will reset more than twice a day. The darker a server is, for example, there will be more dark side monster (or something like that) spawning on certain planets. Also, if your server is leaning more towards one side, the other side will get a slight boost to help the server even out more, though that doesn't mean the other side will do better.
  16. The best way to make credits is to play the GTN. That means buying expensive items for low price, then selling them for a higher price. To do this you need to get an understanding of at what price items will sell. Another way is buying items on the Cartel Market and selling them on the GTN. You can also open packs and hope you get a really rare, or high selling item. If you decide to open a pack(s), be sure to sell everything you don't want/need, because in the end the credits will add up. The more packs you open at once, the better your chances of getting a rare item, though the RnG in this game could be better. Heroics, I find, are actually a pretty good way to make credits. Doing 2 planets could get you around 1.5 million credits (doing bonus missions as well). There are a lot of YouTube videos you can watch about making credits. SWTOR TV is a good channel. His videos have probably even affected the economy in SWTOR greatly.
  17. if restarting your computer doesn't help, you might have to redownload the game. If the download is interrupted, it could corrupt a file or somehow mess up the game, making it unplayable.
  18. Also, if you have to time, you can check out the livestreams created by BioWare themselves. It would probably take more than a day to watch them all but you can kinda skip through them for information if you want. They are on Twitch.
  19. 1) A lot has changed and I think it's best to start with Story Mode. My gear was near max when the level cap was 65 (my gear was 208) (now it's 70) and I had trouble with Veteren mode. Also, companions can play any role now. You can change it by right clicking on their portraits. 2) I think the best way is just by giving them gifts. They do drop a lot though. 3) You no longer need stats on gear to dictate the companions stats. They are automatic depending on your level. Also, some companions, like Lana, can't change outfits. The pieces of armour that won't show up, like headgear on Qyzen, can no longer be put on that companion because it's pretty pointless. That also means droids, like T7 only need weapons now. The best companion is Z0-0M, but unless you are subscribed all through the past year, you wouldn't have gotten her. You can compare their stats by setting different companions to the same roles and having them at the same influence. 4) It was probably just a glitch. They should be in your inventory, mail, or storage. 5) Leveling in general is now much easier. The days of doing side missions to level from 1-50 are now over and you just need to do the story mission (the purple triangles). You can still do the other missions though. You will get armour throughout the stories, and commendations are now gone. Mods can be bought with credits, though you shouldn't need it. Galactic Command is endgame stuff (for level 70s). You do endgame activities, like Operations, Warzones, and Flashpoints, just to name a few, and get Command Rank. Every time your Command Rank goes up, you get a pack with 3-4 (I think) items. These items can be part of armour sets, companion gifts, weapons, or an armour or weapon with higher stats than your current pieces. There's a Galactic Command tab that shows you everything you can do to increase your rank. There are also terminals you can get all the heroics from, rather than running around to get the missions. 6) Not sure how relevant it is to your story because I don't know what part of the story the mission is part of. If it's purple, it's probably worth doing. It shouldn't take very long. It probably won't affect your story if you don't do it. If you see completed missions again, they may be heroics, or its just a glitch. 7) In the maps tab there's a toggle at the top right for Exploration Missions. You can turn that on for some more side missions. The Gree mission is still on Coruscant, inside the Senate building. Once you pass that circle room and enter the main hall (the box room), walk right and into the closest hallway. It should be there. It's considered part of the story, so it will be purple. FYI: They didn't remove any missions
  20. One thing you can do is get a bunch of hypercrates, open them and get the items inside, hope for some items that sell high, then sell them on the GTN and make a bunch of credits you can later use to buy some armour or weapon you want. You could even just sell the hypercrate. You can also find the best "bang for your buck" item on the Cartel Market that you can sell on the GTN. There's also the Gold Armor packs on the GTN that will probably drop a nice armour, or at least one you can sell for lots of credits. Saving the CCs until something nice comes up on the GTN is also a good idea.
  21. You can change the resolution in the "Preferences" tab. You can get to it by hovering your mouse over the gear icon, or pressing Ctrl+P if you haven't changed any of the keybinds yet. It will be under "Graphics" Your Legacy is how all your characters on your server are connected on your server, in a way. It's hard to explain, but it's something you'll figure out as you play the game. It confused me when I first started playing too. The Legacy items you are wondering about are basically just items that can be used by any of your characters on that server, and not by anyone else. You can send them to your other toons, or put them into your Legacy Storage where any of your characters can access them. Your Legacy Storage can be accessed most easily when you get a Stronghold. The best items you can get are Cartel items, in my opinion anyways. If you go to the Cartel Market tab (Ctrl+M), you can find a bunch of goods you can buy with Cartel Coins. These coins are a special currency that's harder to earn compared to Credits. Easiest way is to buy them. I haven't played WoW so I'm not sure what it's similar to in that game. There are also packs you can buy from the Cartel Market. These packs will give you random items, which can include armours and weapons. Different packs can contain different items and you can see every item you can get from packs in the Collections tab (Ctrl+C). It's organized into different sections: weapons, armours, colour crystals, mounts, etc. You can browse through and see what items appeal to you. You can try getting items that interest you from the pack(s) that drop them, or just buy them off the GTN. The GTN can be found on the fleet, or other largely populated areas, and it's basically where players can sell items to other players. You can try finding the item(s) that you like and buy them from there. Referring a friend is when you "invite" someone to play this game. Basically someone uses your referral link, and you and that other person get things ingame. You will get 600 Cartel Coins, along with some other stuff, while the other person gets some unlocks, or a mount, or something. Not 100% sure. The person using the link can only ever use a link once and must be subscribed for you to get the benefits from it. You should use mine in my signature area where it says "Get free items in game here" As your crafting skill increases, you will be able to learn to craft more things. You can learn new skills from Crew Skill Trainers on highly populated places, such as the fleet. You're companion probably has red eyes because of their species, or because the dark side has affected their appearance ("dark side degradation," I believe it's called); though that explanation is for diehard Star Wars fans. You can check YouTube or Wookipedia if you are one of them or are just curious
