  1. Maybe I'm missing it, but did anyone think to add a keybinding to open the "materials pane". This way we don't have to open our inventory, then click on the diamond symbol to look at how many mats we have. We can just set a keybinding for that window/pane.
  2. Can you add a save function to the skill bars so that when we switch a toon from Heals/Tank to DPS or vice versa, we can save our skill bars to match our spec? I retrait my Juggernaut from tank to dps often, and everytime I have to move my skills around to where I like them for each spec. This is especially true for healers that want to respec from heals to dps.
  3. After changing the amplifiers on my Victorious Pioneer's armor set to maximize node pick ups, I realize that you need to greatly reduce the cost of getting the Amps your looking for. Maybe make an option to just outright buy the Amp you want rather than having to continue to re-roll until RNG gives it to you. I spend about 1.5 million credits to change my Amps on this one set of questing gear. What impact will this have on game play? You guessed it, it will encourage players to buy from credit spammers and that will encourage them to keep spamming.
  4. This has to be the most professional and well executed expansion launch I can remember. The servers are up and running with just one slight delay. Especially with the amount of content change in this expansion! Excellent work from you and your team!
  5. I'm not sure how your improving the crafting in 6.0 if your going to continue the trend of making players do certain content to get crafting mats. And your definitely not continuing the trend of "play your way".
  6. Just an observation: you stated, early on, that this expansion's theme was to allow players to play they way they want. Looking at the crafting mats today, we will not be able to play the way we want, we will be forced into playing content that we may not like to play just to get mats for crafting. For example: Processed Isotope Stabilizer "Found in Master Flashpoints, Story, Veteran and Master Operations, and in Ranked Warzones." I like Warzones, just not ranked because I can't stand to listen to ppl cry when they lose, so that is a no go for me. I like Ops anytime I can get in them, but not everyone does. Flashpoints are cool too, but not for everyone. The Solid Resource Matrix "rewarded for completing the personal goal of a conquest". Again, not every player wants to do all the activities required to complete the "personal goal" of a conquest. Legendary Embers are obtained from harvesting and missions, which is part of crafting. How will I get the Isotope and Resource Matrix ingredients if I just want to do daily questing, and play casually to relax, after a hard day's work, or if I don't have time to get into anything time consuming? This is NOT achieving "Play your way".
  7. One thing I noticed right away was that when I made a Juggernaught character on the PTS and leveled to 75, I clicked the Unnatural Might icon and only got Juggernaught stats. On the Satele Shan server, when I click this icon, I get 4 stats for my Juggernaught as I have unlocked all the stat boosts. As far as testing the new gear, we need to make sure we are consistent with the base character stats to properly evaluate the impact of the new gearing changes.
  8. I have two things I would like to note at this point: 1. Concerning the additional skills given, I would like to try them out to get a feel for the gameplay. I'm trying to log into the PTS now to see if it is up. I can say right off the bat, that I was really hoping to see at least a little AOE ability for the Rage discipline. 2. (This feedback is relevant to all classes, not just the Juggernaught). Please look at making it easier to switch specs. Not only for testing the new skills but for game play in general. When I get in a group and the group wants me to tank instead of DPS, I have to change my specs, gear and quick bars. Other older MMO's have been able to do a running change to the game that allows your character file to hold your skill bar information for each spec. In other words please make it so we can change from Rage to Immortal and our last known skill bar set up loads with the combat proficiencies. You could also give us the ability to save our trait set up for each proficiency. This will make testing easier for us and also gameplay much more efficient. You have already made it so we can import and export our keybindings, which is awesome for altoholics, can't you do the same for the icons locations on our quick bars and our trait trees? I can load up the PTS but it says the server is down. Is there any plan to load these changes on there so we can try them out? That will give you the best feedback.
  9. Why don't you change the requirement for this quest from 3 wins to 3 matches played? Or 4 matches played, a win counts as 2? It is grueling enough to find a time when GSF is actually popping, but when it does and you get in 3 weak groups in a row, now the you know you have to get in to at least three more matches before having a chance to get the Crystal. I think a lot of players give up at this point and decide to wait until next week to see if they can get a better draw on the weekly quest. Maybe if you make it so it is a set number of matches, you will get better response from players attempting to complete the quest, and give more opportunity for everyone to play this content and get the Crystal.
  10. I was happy to see GSF popping last night. Once I got in flight I found that my inverted vertical mouse preference was not working. I set it to not be inverted, then clicked the box to invert it again and it still didn't work. Then I tried to invert the horizontal direction and it did not work either. I've played online games since the "Red Barron" game in the early 90's, and have always inverted my vertical mouse direction (all those games used joysticks). Please fix this soon.
  11. Is it just me, or has anyone else seen this effect on gameplay?
  12. I'm posting this as a new thread for two reasons: 1. The Devs and support teams need to know. 2. It is a new issue for me, since moving to one east coast data center. Background: I moved to second shift at work. This meant that by the time I got home from work, Shadowlands was dead. I transferred a toon to Harbinger, and found lots of players online, when I got home from work. I ended up moving all my toons to harbinger even though my ping went from 35 to 150 (from Kentucky, USA). I signed up for a fiber optic gigabit internet service in July '17. My ping on Harbinger dropped from 150 to 77ms. I have been able to play PVP, OPS, or run around on the fleet ship with ZERO lag, running on the highest video setting at 65-100 fps. After the data center move, on Tuesday 10/24, I am now running a steady 37ms ping. NEW ISSUE: Last night I got home from work and ran some PVP. For the first time, since I got Gigabit internet, I experience some rubber banding and graphics freeze while fighting for the center node. Therefore: A. The east coast datacenter is not as good as the west coast data center. OR, B. The game was waiting on inputs from players from the APAC region, before it would accept any more of my inputs. Conclusion: To my Aussie friends out there... ie: Icykill... If (B) is the reason for my new lag problems, then the best way for APAC players to get the pings fixed, is not to quit playing, but to play even more. Flood the East coast data center with 200-300 ping players and they will see that it affects East coast players with 37ms pings, just as much as it affects APAC players. To my SWTOR devs and ITT guys and gals: I completely understand the business impact and cost savings of one data center. However, if you reduce the quality of the game, to save money, you will always end up losing money long term. I'm pretty sure my new lag issues are coming from the data center's location, relevant to the other players geographic location, as I've played on Shadowlands and POT5 for a long time, before moving to Harbinger due to shift change. So I don't think it is the data center equipment. I think this location is a bad move, for the quality of game play, for everyone.
  13. There are always exceptions to almost everything. The Star Wars movies were one of them, and LOTR movies were another. The KOTFE and KOTET were pretty good, but I couldn't put them at the level of the Star Wars and the LOTR movies. The first time I watched 50 First Dates I laughed so hard I almost was in tears, but the second time I watched it, it was not that funny, no element of surprise. If the KOTFE and KOTET stories were that good, I would not see so many level 50 to 69 players getting in PUB OPS just to level up.
  14. You all really messed up last November to the point that I left the game and went to WOW. Keith got promoted and put the Gear Vendors back on the fleet. I returned to the game in May, just like I said I would, when I left. With that said, I'd like to say this. This time, the mess up, got myself and many others playing, as much as possible this last week. I've had a blast this week. My wife, two boys, and myself have been grouping up and playing the dailies on Yavin4, CZ-198, Oricon, etc.... It really stands out now how much we've missed this part of the game. The KOTFE and KOTET stories were good one time through, but they didn't allow us to group up and play the story content. They are both solo content and that takes away a prominent part of MMO's, group questing. There are two must keep components here. 1. Leave the CXP on the daily quests for the planets. At least don't nerf them back to 75, as no one will run them anymore. Maybe they would be worth it at 1100 each, but I like them the way they are. At 2200 a quest it still takes some time to get to rank 300. (Just FYI, we all four bought Cartel Coins this week, that was $82 dollars to ya). 2. On the next expansion, go back to a new planet and don't continue the solo content anymore. After I ran KOTFE and KOTET with one character, I leveled all of my alts up in PVP and OPS runs. I'm sure there are players who like running the same story over and over, just as there are people who like to watch the same movie over and over. I would say the majority does not watch the same movie over and over, but instead will move on to something else after the first time through. In closing: Thanks Keith for leaving the CXP on the planet quests for the week. I've had a blast running them, and I think a lot of the players have also. Good times. Please leave the CXP on the planetary dailies and please put it on your task board in the office to make sure the next expansion has a new planet and quests for groups to play. If people are grouping up, then guilds are growing and players are making new online friend. This is job security for you and your staff. Having friends online keeps people logging in for more than just the content of the game, it becomes a social gathering and that is how you keep an MMO alive for the long haul.
  15. Tux is right about this. I changed to second shift at work, so when I got home, Shadowlands was dead. I moved one toon to Harbinger just to see if I could play after work. There is always something going on here on Harb. It has made a big difference in my perception of the game. We ended up moving our whole guild. As far as the CXP grants. If they take it down to 100 it won't be worth my time. As many hours as I put in at work, I don't choose the content I play by how cool I think it is. I choose it by how many CXP I can get per time played. Right now the old Yavin, Cz-198, Oricon, etc.. dailies are giving me the most bang for my buck, so that is what I'm doing. I'll have to say it is really cool to go back and run those. Haha, I was on POT5 when I ran the Yavin dailies everyday. Last night I was running them, and when I came out of the cave and had killed my 15 stormray's I ran up to click on the nest for the monarch. I keep turning around looking for someone to try to gank me, as that is how it was on the old PVP servers. Those were some good times I think all this should answer some questions recently posted by the Devs. If you want people to play Starfighter then raise the daily bonus. On the day that Starfighter is the bonus, you still don't get enough CXP, with the bonus, to justify the time put into it. The same holds true for Uprisings. Keep raising the amount of bonus CXP until you see players running it, then you will know how much is needed for players to feel it is worth their time. The planetary dailies are worth it today, so I will run them until they are nerfed back down to 75. Anything less than 1000 per quest and it is not worth it, I'll just keep queue'ing for PVP, where I can get up to 2000-3000 for a 20 minute match where I got a lot of medals. Or I'll get an Ops run together where I can get close to 7000-10000 for 1 to 2 hours.
  16. Concerning moving a Guild: 1. Let the Guild Master be able to sell the ship back to the vendor for a "Guild Ship Certificate". The certificate has no credit value, but will let the guild master respawn the ship on the destination server. 2. Allow the Guild master and Officers take the decorations out of the guild vault, but leave it bound. So no one can sell them. In the guild settings, the guild master can set which class of guild members can take decorations out, the same as it can be set for taking credits, items, making changes to the vault, etc... This will allow guilds to move and take everything with them. 3. Guild achievements and conquests are a different animal. The Guild itself would have to have a legacy or something for that to move. I recently tried to move a character and it said I could not because he was a guild master. So the game knows if you are trying to move as a guild master, we just need it to attach the guild accomplishments to that character and then move from server to server with that character. 4. Another approach to #1 and #2: Have all stronghold decorations attach to the stronghold like armorings, mods, and enhancements attach to gear. This would be even better, as when you get to the destination server, you can respawn the ship or your personal stronghold and everything will be right where you left it. Also allow players to sell their personal stronghold back to the vendor for a "Stronghold Certificate". The certificate is actually a file with all the information about the stronghold or guild ship. Just some ideas for the team to think about. This could be implemented right now and would not have to wait for a decision to be made on server mergers. It would eliminate one of the topics of this thread and help us all chip away at this stone called server mergers.

The word everything makes what you said not true.
  18. Does allowing a player to donate CM items to the guild vault allow them to turn those items into credits? NO Did I ever accuse the devs of having a motive for my having to wait? NO Does it look like your just trolling? YES I did not by a guild ship under a 36 hour contract, I bought it and it unlocked immediately, but I was sitting there unable to start putting things out on the floor because the ITEMS were locked. Therefore, my real life analogy was more accurate than yours, but thanks for the unconstructive feed back.
  19. We moved our guild from Shadowlands to Harbinger. It was bad enough that we couldn't bring our guild ship or any of it's decorations! So after I put out another 50mil credits for a new guild ship, I decided to throw away 1200 CC's on the utility decorations package to get the vaults, mod stations, and GTN kiosk up and going, only to find that it is bound to the character for a day and a half! What sense does that make? At least make it so you can donate these items to the guild! That is like you buy a new house. Pay movers to move all yours and your family's belonging, except when you get to your new house, they lock the truck up in the driveway for a day and a half before they will unload your stuff!
  20. Due to my work schedule changing to second shift, we (Wife, two boys and myself) had to move to a west coast server. We were on shadowlands and moved to Harb. This way, when I get home at 2AM we can still get in OPS runs or PVP, or whatever. It is still primetime on the west coast. I promoted the cross server queue in the server merger thread, and many agreed, but Keith shot that down in the live stream, so we moved to Harb. With that, it looks like the only option is server merging. I will say that it makes the game much less frustrating to be able to get online when you have time in your day and get your PVP dailies done or jump into the daily GF OPS. I loved the community on SL but it is dead at 2AM and takes longer to get a group than to run the content. So after moving our guild to another server I want to give the devs this feedback: 1. I really sucked to have to pay 50mil to buy a guild ship and I only have 6.5mil earned towards my Republic ship. That is a crappy QOL for sure. Maybe let the guild master sell it back to the vendor for a "guild ship certificate" to get a new one later. That wouldn't be any kind of exploit, if you don't transfer, then you can just buy the ship back on that same server. Or go to the new server and cash it in for a ship there. Same as the unassembled component vendor works. 2. The decorations on the SL guild ships could have been taken to Harb if they would allow the guildmaster to pick them up, put them in storage before transferring that toon. Another crappy QOL! All of our OPS decorations are left behind. 3. Character names are just going to have to stay the way they are as there is no way to improve that and not take names from players on the destination server. As long as we allow alt-key codes in names, everyone should be able to get their names in some form or another. 4. One additonal observation between east and west coast servers, that mega servers will not address as of right now: The reason Harbinger is so active at all times of day, and East Coast server will never be this way is that players from Austrailia are playing on Harb. For east coast, the European players have their own servers. Therefore the primetime for Aussies, West Coasters, and second shift East Coasters players make it so there is activity 24/7. If the European servers were combined with the US East Coast servers, then the time difference in the other countries would make it so East Coast US servers would have activity more hours of the day. So making an East Coast mega server will still leave the prime time playability of the server the same as current. This is why I'm such an advocate of cross server queues. Do not take this post as me complaining, I am only trying to provide information to the dev team to help the problem solving effort Keith has been encouraging since his promotion. PS. hey Icykill, make some kind of comment on this so they will read it!
  21. I totally agree with Rifka on this. If you choose option #2, it needs to come with enough unassembled components to actually buy a piece from the vendor for those that do not have any unassembled components. If not, then you need to add unassembled components into every boss on every OPS run, including story mode. That way your OPS community has a stash of unassembled components when they win this drop. But I like her idea of putting the weekly buffed OPS back like it was before. So that one OPS per week will drop 248 pieces in veteran mode difficulty. Just add a 248 piece to each boss along with the 242 drop like it used to be where every boss dropped a 228 piece along with the 220 piece.
  22. 100% agree with you ICY! What were they thinking to even consider a Space Combat game mode without a Joystick? The Devs of that day were very far removed from the gaming community when GSF was released. I had already made my post for this thread from the Dev Tracker page. I didn't read any posts here first. I propose that we put it on the test server and give it a go. To Devs: please don't try to say that it is not possible to give joystick support. The joystick is just another mouse on the programming end. It was easy to give mouse and joystick support for windows 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, XP, and so on. Also, you've already separated the Key bindings for GSF from other game modes, so the game engine already recognizes the GSF controls as a separate entity.
  23. I love GSF. I'm an older gamer, I've player all the Lucas Arts games since 1995. GSF is disappointing to me in only one way, no Joystick support. This topic was all over the forums when GSF was released, and the Devs in that day did not give any feedback from their end. For your "Old School" gamers, joystick support would really make it fun, like all the old school flight combat games. I'm sure Keith can relate if he played those games back in the day. Another thing I think will help is making the ship progression Legacy wide. I have a couple of toons with maxed out ships and I do very well with those ships. It is very frustrating for the Altoholic, like myself, to jump in on a GSF on the new Alt and have such a wimpy ship to play. It is hard to re-invest all that time to leveling up another ship on a game mode that really doesn't get a lot of queue pops anyhow.
  24. I agree with Ratajack, the players focusing on the server mergers are usually just thinking of their personal needs. I just don't understand why the DEV teams can not just acknowledge that implementing a cross server queue will resolve ALL of these issues. It will not impact any players in a negative way. Lag you say. Does the PTS have lag? There isn't an East coast or West coast PTS. That is basically all they need to do. One more server, Like the PTS, all the players in the queue go to that server for the ops run, PVP, whatever group content they get into. What about finding our friends from other servers? Easy, use the Origin chat and voice chat. Then you can see friends that are playing SWTOR, Battlefield, Mass Effect, etc... It just makes good sense to put their budget for low population server issues towards implementing a cross server group content queue and allowing for the Origin chat system to overlay the game. I can not find any objection, to the server merger issue, that cross server queue would cause or make worse, and I can not find any positive of a server merger that cross server queue doesn't also provide. The only thing with this system, is you have to be on the same server of a guild you want to join, and the GTN would be server specific too. But putting everything into one megaserver means there is only one GTN for everyone. WOW implemented a cross server queue, and it doesn't matter what server you roll a toon on, there is group content popping 24/7. That would be awesome to apply to SWTOR.
