The Amplifier window needs to be minimizable. It takes up so much screen space now to have this open and makes it hard to have multiple windows open at once and see everything.
Removing both stat panes is a weird choice, i liked having 2 selectable panes to see stats but I suppose it's not really that important, more a want than a need.
But, let's talk about putting weapons between the armor pieces.... why? This is a terrible idea in my opinion. Since forever, weapons have been at the bottom, and that's not just a SWtOR thing, that's kind of an RPG thing and most MMO's follow that trend, weapons at the bottom.
I really didn't think this window even needed to be changed, it was good enough as it was. Bigger character display for what? I see my character in game, and in the preview window, and on this sheet all at the same time if I want to.
I would rather go back to a more KOTOR style equip menu over this, if anything were to change.
I couldn't possibly agree with this more! The new window has completely wrecked the open window arrangement I've been using for years, and there simply is no way to make it work anymore. What used to be quick and easy is now awkward and difficult. I certainly hope they consider changing it back

I joined a guild last night, and about two hours later I, along with a large number of other players were unceremoniously kicked from the guild without notice or explanation. Does anyone know why this happens? I certainly didn't do anything to deserve it!

Thanks for that . However, I actually found the following in another thread first
I also started the game as admin (just in case) and it kicked off a full download. Anyway several hours later the download completes and the game works ! Well until I discover the next bug!

I used the above mentioned fix, and the WHOLE game proceeded to download again. Now I'm stuck waiting while it does that.

Ever since the most recent update, I have to delete the BitRaider files every single time I start the game or else I get stuck in the 'downloading' starting planets only screen. What gives?

Thank you will give that a try but if I am not mistaken I did that a long time ago to avoid the common issues with the launcher.
The Bit Raider trick still works.....I had to use it myself right after the update installed.

Try deleting the files in your Bit Raider folder (which is inside the games' main folder). That should fix it.

You can play as a spy, though.
Smugglers have the ability to join SIS, which is essentially the organization made up of Republic spies.
They don't really 'join' the SIS, they just work with them. It's not the same.

Each faction has an equal class on the opposite faction. For example Shadow are the same class as Assassins, Gunslingers are the same class as snipers.
You won't find out how powerful your class will be until your at least level 68.
Something also to note if your level 30, and doing Warzones, that bracket is 30-69 I believe. (May be 30-74). So the imperial classes your seeing may simply be much higher level, with more of the class abilities to use.
You can't play a spy on the Rep side though. Seems unfair.

I get that we can't sell strongholds.
I bought the Rishi stronghold and hated it from day one, but I don't see why we can't be allowed to donate them. I would really love to give that stronghold to a young, fresh faced guild that doesn't have one!

The OP is talking about tedium, not difficulty. The endless running back and forth along corridors jammed with skytroopers is boring. They were boring the first time through, and they get more boring with each playthrough.
Totally agree with this assessment. The tedium is mind numbing, and I have only managed to bull dog my way all through the total story with a single character.

I didn't see it mentioned in the patch notes but thank you for adding commas when listing items on the GTN! It's now much harder to list things at the wrong price.

I generally ignore chat, but rants or spam on homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, using derogatory epithets about ethnicity, the disabled, or a disability, or persistent personal attacks directed at someone are all ways to get on my ignore list. If the person is being truly vile I will file a report for harassment, as well.
You and me both brother! I also include crude sexual references in that list.

Personally, I use the Shikaakwan Royalty outfit for all of my female Jedi and Sith (with different color schemes for each one). It's classy and beautiful (hiding the head piece of course). That thing is just stupid looking.

You're not alone. I am constantly having to deal with the 'target' rug being pulled out from under me. There are just some people who like to take advantage of a situation that they see as beneficial to them, and the other people who were there first be damned. I've learned to live with it, but that doesn't mean I like it.

That's very nice, but imagine how great it would be if it wasn't on the inside of a garbage scow?
I mean I have the tattoine one and I equipped mine with a holo-arboretum that is very nice too.
BUt I kinda wanted the rishi one to be a resort-style beachfront but I really looks like a dump!
I bought the Rishi stronghold, and I wish I could sell it. It should have been set up like a Hawaiian paradise, but instead it's a scrap heap. I was so disappointed.

what server are you on, there are some really good guilds on SF, which will help with fp's etc. Haven't noticed any toxic behaviour there either, but i could just be lucky...lol. But if you are on SF, and need a hand, pm me your chars name, and I'll add it to one of my toons who run fp' regularly, and see if we can help you learn the fp's
The best thing you can do with toxic people is just put them on ignore
There are plenty of good people in the game, and ignore will weed out those toxic people eventually.Seriously? Haven't noticed any toxic players on Star Forge?! You should try playing late at night like I do. The offensive, juvenile sex talk is through the roof!

I happen to be one of the above mentioned people, so I do agree with the OP. I know it isn't the most popular opinion, but the one thing that got me into this game (after having tried it early on in it's life) was the solo friendly content.
