  1. Nice guide, and I especially like the PvP section. I'm doing ok in PvP myself, but there are so many small things which I often forget about - will try to use them all consistently.
  2. Trickshot and its 2-point enhancement are vital talents - DPS increase is huge, so at least try to get them asap. Personally I went with full 31 into main tree first.
  3. Hi, that's great video. Helps a lot I have a noob question, maybe you can help. What's the best way to choose targets in PvP? In PvE I usually only switch targets using Tab. But in PvP it takes forever to match the name and figure out whom I'm shooting at. Mouse clicking also is not very useful because meleers are running circles around me, so when I try to target them to do Dirty Kick or Leg Shot, I miss more often than not. That's the main reason I die in big fights - while wasting time to target the correct opponent, I lose up to 50% hp.
  4. I'm doing great with Biochem. With reusable medpacks you basically have +30% life for harder fights, which is esslential because there's no other healing available. And don't forget stims and adrenals.
  5. I also noticed that early level Gunslinger PvE rotation is very simple and repetitive. But you'll get Trickshot at about 30 and Speed Shot at about 35, this will liven it up somewhat. Anyway, I still enjoy my Gunsligner a lot. You just have to love pew-pew if you're playing this class, otherwise you'll bore yourself to death very soon
  6. Yea, almost every Commando I played with annihilated everything in sight and STILL could easily heal in groups. I'm not buying it though
  7. I think rushing to Trickshot and its energy reducing talent is essential - not only because Trickshot is so powerful, but also there are some super-needed talents on the way - like Foxhole. The only problem is that since many decide to skip Burst Volley now, there are two points which are required to open tier 5 - and you have to use them for Spacer, Cover Screen or Trip Shot. I rarely use Leg Shot in PvE, so I decided to put one into Spacer and one into Cover Screen for now - being defensive never hurts.
  8. I love my Gunslinger - at lvl 31 now. No problems with soloing, although I don't go into Heroic4s alone (Heroic2s - sometimes). Just make sure you like to shoot - it'll be the only thing you do . Anyway, my next char will not be DPS - I find other group roles way more challenging, and challenge is good.
  9. I noticed that since I only run LS Medical Suppies mission, it gets replaced sometimes (probably the game does not want me to do it forever). Then I need to run LS Companion Gifts once, and the supplies mission will return.
  10. From your post it looks like you're at lower levels. Then I'd suggest ditch Vital Shot and Quick Shot (which will waste your energy in no time), and spam Aim Shots and Charged Bursts mostly. Sabotage Charge also helps to provide more DPS burst sometimes. That's true for solo play. In group boss fights the tank usually aggroes the boss anyway, so you may as well start with debuff and 100%crit Charged Burst to reduce Aim Shot activation time. However, be careful not to put a lot of damage right away or the boss may forget about the tank and hook up with you instead
  11. It's not like there's any rotation at this level, just spamming Aim Shot and Charged Burst, adding Sabotage Charge sometimes to speed up the process. And of course keep the energy over 60. It looks too simple, but it'll only get more complex after level 30 or so.
  12. Like said above, don't use Quick Shot. I only use it sometines on weak enemies to dispatch them quickly, when I don't have the patience to wait for another cast. It's a huge waste of energy. Also Vital Shot can indeed spend a lot fo energy at the start of the fight, dropping it under 60, from where there's no return. Use it carefully. I actually prefer to spam Charged Burst instead, which seems to have much better DPS/Energy tradeoff. Just add Flurry of Bolts once in a while when you're on <60 energy, and leave the damage dealing to Charged Burst and Aim Shot. This rotation is so simple that it seems newbish, but that's what you have to do until level 30 or so when you start to get more of the useful skills.
  13. I enjoy the story so far (just finishing Coruscant). Mostly not because of the quests (which are also ok), but because of the sheer awesomeness of my smuggler. Her every secord line in the dialogues is epic! And what's the problem everyone's having with Corso? Pretty decent companion. Having to switch off harpoon constantly is annoying, but I hope it'll be fixed. Not sure I'll want the wookie.. hated the one in KOTOR1.
