  1. The Group Finder window still shows Flashpoints using the (old) 'Tactical' and 'Hard' categories. This is great for reminiscing, but doesn't match the 'Veteran' and 'Master' categories of the Priority Mission terminal. Pic: here
  2. Press ESC to bring up the options menu. Disable Tutorial, if available, is shown at the top of the options window. I used it to enable all abilities for my new token 65 alt.
  3. I was wondering if you could clarify a little more? Is there any risk of a Command Crate dropping Tank gear for my Advanced Prototype (DPS) Powertech? Right now on my Advanced Prototype (DPS) Powertech keeps getting 208 Tank gear drops, which is useless. The same happens in some other classes where the wrong type of gear drops for the discipline I have chosen. Cheers and thanks.
  4. Hello there, I've been madly reporting SPAM, but I believe that even in the short term, a small change to how this works may help players report SPAM more often. As it stands: • Right-click and 'Report SPAM' • Wait for an unavoidable dialogue box to come up that we then have to click (that takes focus away from the game). • Then choose 'Ignore Player' so that I do not see the Spammer in general chat any more. This seems like a lot of work... three clicks to do one thing. Why not add a command to combine them? An idea for faster better solution: • Add a 'Report SPAM & Ignore' command. 1. The user right-clicks as usual and chooses "Report SPAM & Ignore" 2. The reported player is ignored and a ticket filed as usual 3. Don't have a dialogue box come up (don't slow down my game for doing something that we should not need to do!). Maybe have "The reported player has been reported and is not ignored" flash up in red flytext, or something. Anyway... hope this is food for thought!
  5. Bioware have confirmed 100% SH bonus for 4 completed strongholds, and 125% stronghold bonus for five completed strongholds. See this developer post post.
  6. I GM a guild of 300 members on Harbinger, and key management is almost impossible, especially in larger guilds where key management is most important. • Proper key management is essential to good guild leadership. • It is impossible to overstate how bad this is. Surely it is not intended? • Impacts all guilds, and is worse the larger a guild is. By default, all members except the GM have bronze keys. Bronze keys give the member access to the flagship but no other privileges 9such as harvesting). When using the interface to grant silver or gold keys we see the following: SW:TOR Guild Key Screenshot Note the following: • The top part of this window is greyed out • Characters are listed in no discernible order • To issue a key (Silver or gold), I need to manually eyeball up to 26 pages of members to find the character (a lot more for larger guilds), and issue the key from the lower area. Surely we are not expected to trawl through pages of membership just to issue one key? This is a guild management tool at its worst. Granting keys becomes very time consuming. At the very least, ordering the list alphabetically would help significantly. Preferred, however, is the ability to mass select characters and grant keys. Or type a name and grant a key. I am truly hoping that this is not how Guild Key management is supposed to work in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I am also mindful if this thread (Guild Ship Keys), which differs from mine in that it mentions key management not working, and that keys cannot be removed from old members.
  7. Hello, After Patch 4.3, if I complete all FIVE of my strongholds to 100%, will I get a greater than 100% bonus towards Conquest points for a maximum of 100% bonus during Conquests?
  8. Am a subscriber. Servers: Ebon Hawk, Harbinger — note: Legendary status on both legacies Affects: Every character Affects: every companion of every character, all of the time, everywhere Affects: all levels (10-65) Affects: all class companions, all KotFE companions Able to be reproduced: yes, very easily. { UPDATE: Confirmed with every other player I checked with. Some recall it has been occurring since 4.0 came out. } Description On any character, when I use a vehicle the class buffs for my companion are removed as soon as I dismount (or when Rocket boost finishes and the companion re-appears). Example: 1. Buff self and companion with Hunter's Boon — I see all four class buffs applied to companion 2. Mount any vehicle 3. Dismount — Class buffs are now gone from companion Occurs everywhere, in both level limited and non-limited instances, worlds and flashpoints and heroics. This has been going on for some time now, not sure when it started. Some game update, perhaps?
  9. There is almost certainly (world-wide) disagreement on exactly when 12AM (or 12PM is). As the game caters to a world-wide audience across many parts of the world, all with different customs regarding this, avoiding the issue could be easily achieved by (say) ending events on a half-hour (rather than on the hour). For example: 12:30AM on any given day is always unambiguous. References to my quoted (world-wide) disagreement on exactly when 12AM (or 12PM is): • Here. 'There are no standards established for the meaning of 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. It is often said that 12 a.m. Monday is midnight on Monday morning and 12 p.m. is midday.' (and more) • Here. 'It is not always clear what times "12:00 a.m." and "12:00 p.m." denote.' and 'The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language has a usage note on this topic: "By convention, 12 AM denotes midnight and 12 PM denotes noon. Because of the potential for confusion, it is advisable to use 12 noon and 12 midnight.' among other stuff. • Here. 12 noon is neither a.m. nor p.m. To avoid confusion, the correct designation for 12 o'clock is 12 noon or 12 midnight. Alternatively, the 24-hour clock system may be used. The abbreviation a.m. stands for ante-meridiem (before the Sun has crossed the line) and p.m. for post-meridiem (after the Sun has crossed the line). At 12 noon, the Sun is at its highest point in the sky and directly over the meridian. It is therefore neither 'ante-' nor 'post-'. ... and more • Here (a US government site!) 'This is perhaps the trickiest time question of them all. The best answer is that the terms 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. cause confusion and should not be used.' ...and more The take-away message (I hope!) is that it is easily within BioWare's ability to use any of the preferred non-ambiguous nomenclature when providing times for events like this; giving times in a fashion that are impossible to be misunderstood.
  10. I notice that the official BioWare link regarding the current double XP weekend (here) (and also accessed via the SWTOR twitter feed) says in part: Get Double XP from February 13 - 17 during the following times: • STARTS: Friday, February 13, 2015 10AM PST / 6PM GMT • ENDS: Sunday, February 16, 2015 12AM PST / Monday, February 17, 2015 7AM GMT This seems incorrect. As I write this, the in-game double XP timer indicates just over five hours to go. That is, ending at Monday 16th 11PM US Pacific Time (PT) or thereabouts; or 7AM Tuesday 17th GMT. I was curious why the 'go to' advice has the wrong week-days? Also, my understanding is the 12AM of any given day is midnight (so 12AM Sunday is Sunday night). I was hoping that in future these posts could be made a lot clearer! It would make life simpler for those of us who plan lots fo adventures during double XP times.
  11. To get a log file: • Check the 'Enable Log File' in Settings for SWTOR Unleashed; then click Save Apply and Close. • A log file will be created in the same directory where you put SwtorUnleashed.exe. • It is called SwtorUnleashed.log
  12. The developer suggested deleting the SwtorUnleashed.xml file. (Steps to do this are described here: link) If that does not work please send them an email, including the log file. The developer's email address can be found on the SWTOR Unleashed homepage here: link
  13. Could you try the following and let us know how it goes? Using SWTOR Unleashed 3.4.2.1134 (you are using this version?) 1. Boot your machine 2. Launch SwtorUnleashed.exe 3. Click 'SWTOR UNLEASHED' once, and once only. Now wait! Does it create the RAMDisk? (Check in Computer) If it does, quit SwtorUnleashed and restart it. Open settings and make your settings, then Save Close and Apply. Again, wait - it can take a while to create a RAMDisk and populate it with gigs of files, and I sometimes get a similar error message if I do other things, but it does actually create it. Check in Computer and see if the R: drive has been created. If it has, then SWTRO Unleashed should work fine.
  14. Added the permanent solution to the issues past-patch 2.7. See previous post. NOTE: The current build, tips, and the contact details for the developer (Audric Thevenet) can be found on the SWTOR Unleashed homepage. (link)
  15. Ebon Hawk, Republic, "Redwrack' SWTOR 2.7, 24 April 2014 Directive 7 (Story Mode) is not awarding social points. It has many long conversations - this is a pity they do not award. Here is the screenshot of all that was rewarded after completing the FP: link (This seems to occur with many flashpoints. If the Bioware team do wish a list of them (if they may be addressed), happy to oblige.)
  16. Game Update 2.7: Invasion came out 8 April 2014. I believe the Bioware team have said they are moving to a three-week cycle of patching, where patching is required, to increase QA outcomes. (I like that! Having the servers down less often at my Tuesday evening time is a good thing). This would tend to imply we may see 2.7.1 come out on the 29th of April (MGO™). (IMO it would need to be before the next 2xXP weekend on 2 May, as that Esseles bug hits a lot of players who flock to such events to start new characters) MGO - My Guesswork Only edit: yep, juust caught DarthDymond's post above, same line of thought
  17. EDIT - After speaking to the developer, a permanent solution. > Having issues with unleashed post 2.7 (Tandy, above) • Go to the directory containing SwtorUnleashed.exe • Delete the SwtorUnleashed.xml file • Launch the SwtorUnleashed.exe • Click Settings and reselect which options you prefer • Run SWTOR Unleashed. It will now calculate the correct size of RAMDisk for the options you have selected and always run normally. I have tested this, and it works. Remember to follow these steps again if future patches increase the size of the texture files. See Edit, above, for solution.
  18. On a: • Male Human • Body Type 1 The following occurs when a Relaxed Vestment chest piece is equipped: • Skin on torso and arms is brown (not flesh coloured) • It seems I wear a bra, despite being male (it thinks the character is female?) See pic here: SWTOR BT1 Human Male Relaxed Vestments
  19. Having an awesome time in Steadfast! My first 50 ever dinged in Steadfast two days ago, <rawr!> Couldn't ask for a friendlier, more helpful or more active group.
  20. Thank-you Hammamelis for the awesome reply and encouragement, very much appreciated! I got him to 47.5 during Bounty week, and he seems to be doing the content okay. And am enjoying it too! And also thanks TheSupaCoopa: very much noted. I'll take your advice as to gear and get good Shield-Chance related gear mostly, and stick Defence on off hands, relics, ear pieces, and implants as you suggest. I reckon with this I've now got a decent path to 50, then from 50 towards 55.
  21. Hi TACeMossie, Thanks for the reply. Right now it's of not too much use to me, as this thread is (I hope!) is about getting from 43 to 50. But I'll come back to your advice after Red hits 50.
  22. Hello. I've been playing for just on four months, and my highest level character, Redwrack, just hit 43. This is the pointy end for me - everything is new and I've not experienced it - so am asking for advice on the types of gear (mods, armorings, enhancements etc) to take me to 50. I know as soon as I hit 50 I'll go to the Makeb comms vendor. (Getting from 50 to endgame is another question unrelated to this request.) Red is a Vanguard, playing in a tank role. I'm probably okay with the skill spec and role and strategy. I've had no problems from 1-40, but things got sticky about level 43. I've been advised to study the KeyboardNinja post Ideal Tank Stat Distribution in 2.0, and realise that it's still a little above my paygrade (and a very long thread too!). AIM: To have decent gear to undertake the tank role in flashpoints and PvE until I hit level 50. What should I focus on? Defence or Shield Chance? Various posts suggest not to worry about Augments until I hit 50 - Is that a good idea? (I've tame friends who can make augments for shield chance or defence, and I can provide mats easily enough); and my gear is close to the stuff I'll take to endgame. Right now I have: Armor Rating 6292 Defence Rating (229) Shield Rating (78) Absorption Rating (0) Armoring, Mods and Enhancements are a mix of: Three lots of armoring mods enh stripped from [CZ-18X Avalanche Chestplate], so three of each: - Armorings (42) +28 Aim +31 End - Mods +28 Aim +20 End +5 Defense Rating - Enhancements +22 End +20 Shield Rating +15 Defense Rating Basically, asking is this along the right track? What's a decent setup? All right, any guidance appreciated, and thanks in advance.
  23. Be logged into the forums. • As a subscriber, I see a Search Community box (magnifying glass next to it) just above these forums on the page. I can type into that and click search. • If I click into it and click search with nothing entered, an Advanced search window becomes available. Hope this helps
  24. The VIP contains as per the previous post. The sheer convenience of having mail|cargo holds|GTN|guild storage all within two steps of each other is awesome; as is the soon-to-be-working-we-hope workbench. And can sell trash items at the bar. Not sure what you mean by 'upgrading to the deluxe version', but the $4.99 "Digital Upgrade Pack" (link) will give each character and all new characters you create access to the VIP lounge; and is a great investment for someone who plays SWTOR a lot IMHO. (It also provides a speeder, flare gun, holocam, training droid for each character).
  25. Same issue here. Time of Incident: 5:15 PM AEDT (Sydney Australia) Character name, class, level and server: Redwrack, lvl 44, The Ebon Hawk Area this occurred: VIP Lounge Republic Fleet -4679 -4708 A detailed description of your issue. Please include any error messages you received (either from Windows or from the launcher/client). No messages received. As per quoted text.
