  1. That's the point of battle meditation. They will be aware of each other, their placement, and their actions. Imagine for a moment Darth Marr presses Revan, he leaps backwards to evade a synchronized strike from Lana. As his body begins to disengage from the pair an artillery strike is heading down towards him. It would look more like this. That's why battle meditation is in play.

Aside from the fact that an artillery strike would still effect Marr and Lana unless they are 20-30 meters away, you pretty much made my point: Marr and Lana are disengaging and not attacking at the same times as the artillery strike and thus Revan is not being attacked by all enemies at the same time.

Add to that Revan's great precog and his tactical skiil that would allow him to maneuver his melee opponents that he outclasses in power and skill into a position where they are in the line of sight of his ranged opposition. And

BM or no BM the simple fact remains that Marr and Lana are phydically present and their mere physical presence means that they are unpredictably and quickly moving obstacle to the ranged team's fire.

  2. As I've said before, we've seen Battle Meditation used to dispel effects of the Dark Side and also remain just as potent in places strong with the Dark side. Nomi made use of it in the Iron Citadel of Cinnagar, and Bastila used it on the Star Forge with no real negative impact. Additionally, there is nothing suggesting Satele grew weaker. Her position as Grand Master and her displays in Annihilation suggest that she had no negative change. The only quote that says she grew weaker is one stating she was not the warrior she once was, which has nothing to do with power as we've seen Jedi lose their skills as warriors but remain incredibly powerful.

Regarding the idea that the non-Force users would be useless, that's rather incorrect. Each of them has engaged Force users in combat, showing their perceptive abilities to be up to the task. Battle Meditation would further increase their perceptive abilities and allow them to keep up.

Also, that's further support for Revan's speed, so thanks. ;)

Fair point on Satele's BM, however my main point regarding BM still is that it would be almost a necesity to allow a group as rag-tag as this to fight togther cohesively at all.

Could you specify as to the circumstances of them fighting force users. I think a fight between HoT and Vizla and Shan killing a DC member were mentioned earlier, but both were pretty vague.

However, my main point remains that fighting a force user is completely different from fighting a force user who is engaged in a 2 v 1 lightsaber fight and Im pretty sure youd agree that fighting other force sensitives, even DC members, still doesnt prepare you for an opponent of Revan's caliber. :p

This type of fight introduces a lot of variables that fighting a force user on normal terms is a poor preparation for. Your opponent is moving much more unpredicably, as he is responding not only to your actions, but also to those of your allies. And once again, most importantly, you cant just go all out, as there is a severe risk of hitting an ally.

  3. Okay I will point out one thing: there is no way the Revan-Coalition fight happened the way it is presented in game. The reason for that is that in game there is no friendly fire, in a real fight there is. It is simply impossible for the ranged team to constantly bombard Revan while Lana and Marr attack him in melee. Even with BM that level of co-operation is simply impossible. Especially, because the BM was from a Jedi master who was significantly weakened by a dark side nexus and afaik post-prime. And more importantly when said fighters are a hesitantly thrown together bunch of people who would usually want to kill each other and have in some cases never fought together before.

We have melee fighters on 2 sides of Revan engaged in a duel with him and I think we all know how fast force users move during those fights which would make it almost impossible for the ranged fighters to keep track of their target. Just consider the difference in reflex speed. By the time say Vizla has actually had an opportunity to aim and fire, Revan will already have moved to another location. Also AOE attacks like missiles, explosives or flame throwers would obviously not have worked, because their AOE would have effected the allied fighters as well.

Badically re-watch Sid vs Maul and Opress and consider whether a bunch of Deah Watch would have been able to do anything to help Maul and Opress.

  4. Building ideas:

    Bank (income)

Arms factory (reduces cost of producing weapons and equiping troops with them)

Mines (income, depends on resources available on planet)

Trade hub/space port (increases trade, would probably increase income, but maybe make planets easier to infiltrate?)

Also I think we should be able to actually build cities of various sizes if we have enough people to populate them.

I also think there should be some other meaningful ways to change a planet such as building irrigation networks on desert planets.

Sil am pretty much fine with your building ideas.

  5. Well technically he didn't kill him he came back from the dead. Also he only Won because of a Cheat Shot that he got off while Krayt was distracted.

Well Now as this two have fought more than once with Krayt even training Cade in the Ways of the Dark side their know each other very well and the other capabilities.Something you can not disagree with me is that Krayt is the overall better fighter and Force user in this match. He has over 100 years of Experience combating Force users and non Force users. He has Completely destroyed a Squad of Imperial Knights who have created 2 Forms to better fight as a team and he defeated them in seconds. He is a master of Force lightening being able to wrap his Lightening around Darth Talon body he can manipulate his force Lightening to utterly Immobilize Cade while he deal with his ancestors.Reborn Krayt powered was said to have doubled after death and he already was the Top dog of the One Sith.Who Number 2 Darth Wrylock the Third Force lightening could Destroy Stone pillars.Than their Darth Nihi who one Shooted Cade Father.Kraty is said to be stronger than both of them pre-Prime.

Now something else I should bring up Remember Luke Final Fight with The Site sprit Abeloth?Krayt was the one who help Luke Defeat the Creature. One of the most important Quote from that battle was from Jacen Solo.(Sell posted it in the most powerful thread am get it in a bit.)

The quote was that Jacen saw Kraty and could see how powerful the Sith was and to stop him he accepted the Dark side to become more powerful. Finally he even admitted he wasn't strong enough to stop Krayt. If Jacen solo couldn't defeat this man when he was Pretty primed What chance does your team have?

Now i wkll admit Mara Jade Track record is impressive none of this will allow her to survive against Starkiller. She has never faced anyone like him before he is a straight Wrecking Ball in the force. He will over power her to a new level.Let's compare Ceadus attacks to what Starkiller will do.Let's use Game mechanics,Ceadus used more single Target attacks against Her which are easier to dodge but hit harder.Starkiller is different he used more AOE attacks and sometimes his Single Targets turn into AOE because of how powerful they are.You can't dodge a AOE ability as easily as a Single Target. This is where Starkiller will just completely over whelm her when he gets tired of fighting her with his lightsaber he will use his impressive force abilities to just destroy Her where she stands.

Well You have a point about Ben he is strong but he is out class here. All he will do is get in the way and get himself killed. If he help Cade against Kraty he will be over powered by his incredible Dueling skills and he will get in Cade way.If he go against Star killer he will work well with his Mother but will just case Starkiller to go all out even sooner.

Plus Starkiller has home field Advantage here he knows the Terrain better than everyone else.He also have stronger TK he can just throw Platforms around. He will be able to just Throw debris at your team until their to exhausted to fight back.

    Cade vs Krayt:

Krayt spent most of those 100 years in stasis.

Id argue that Cade taking apart One Sith Troopers is equally impressive to Krayt dealing with the Imp knights, especially because the OSTs are each a lot stronger then IKs.

Keep in mind that Caedus is quite an idiot and that his perspective is in no way reliable. It is also possible that the force nexus-whatever-thing was messing with him.

If Ben was relevant in the fights with Abeloth, he will be a factor here.

  6. He also fought in an Arena for 7 days straight, the 1st day he killed a Krayt Dragon and then he went on for 6 more days against a number of different opponents ranging from creatures to other aliens and the like, receiving numerous injuries yet reported that he wasn't even in real danger. He also deflected Galen's TK attacks, moved with astonishing speed, noted as an esteemed General during the Clone Wars, tore off the command center of a TIE facility.

Wow I had completely forgotten what a boss he is.

  7. Random You can go first buddy.

    Alright. Here we go then!

Disclaimer: Didnt have much time to research, so some of this is from memory, apologies for any inacuracies.

    Cade vs Krayt;

Well Cade killed Krayt once already, so not much to say there is. :p

But honestly, as you yourself had him on your last team, youll know what a beast Cade is. He probably slaughtered dozens of One Sith and more impressively One Sith Troopers, presented by Krayt as the ultimate fighting force in the galaxy and so powerful that he chose to completely indoctrinate them, turning them into his mindless slaves to ensure that they wouldnt turn against him. The fact that Krayt saw them as a potential threat really demonstrates their power and yet Cade crushed them. As a former smuggler/pirate/bounty hunter you can also be sure that Cade will fight dirty and bring out a few tricks to catch Krayt by suprise.

    Mara vs Starkiller:

I think Mara's main advantage here is her unorthodoxy. She has several decades more of experience than Starkiller and has done pretty much everything that can give you experience in fighting, having been a spy and assassin, a pirate and smuggler, a bounty hunter (iirc) and a Jedi master. In combat she employs a wide variety of tools and tricks, weapons, gadgets, tactics, cunning and patience to defeat her opponent.

Starkiller in contrast is pretty much as predictable as it gets, charging straight at his oppoents and demolishing them with overwhelming force and lightsaber attacks. He never really encountered an opponent who fights dirty and his inexperience with this type of fighting and his impatience will make him run straight into Mara's traps.

His force powers wont save him either; if Caedus couldnt overpower Mara with the force, Starkiller cant either. Of course he is a much stronger force user, but Mara is smart, skilled and experienced enough to evade or mitigate his force attacks.

Then of course we have Ben as support: the son of the most powerful force user of all times and a powerful Jedi in his own right, experienced from fighting in the Second Galactic Civil War and fighting the Lost Tribe of the Sith and Abeloth. He is skilled enough to easily defeat Sith Swords, was able to do at least some damage to Abeloth and was a skilled enough force user to learn new force techniques at a similar speed to Luke. Hell certainly be there to tip the scalws of any unfavorable engagement.

Not to mention the Skywalkers' team work will be a million times better.

  8. This thread gave me cancer.

When you said Garek couldn't beat the Jedi Exiled I stopped reading because you truthfully no less than crap.Dude He beat Darth Vader he would Destroy the Whole Jedi and Dark Council of the OR era without Breaking a Sweat.Garek took down some of the best of the best of the PT era and that's not even his strongest incarnation.Starkiller could destroy anyone in the OR era Darth Vader and Starkiller Pound for pound could 1vX any members of either order during the OR period. So just give it up.

Also the Give me one Or Jedi that you think is impressive that's wasn't a Jedi master and I will give you a PT counter parts that's more impressive.

    Couldnt agree more.

  9. He is weaker in the new animated series but its canon and yep that is him. Well this like superman with kryptonite in some issues he could resists tones of it and in some he could not resist a pebble and that was after we saw him resist the tons of kryptonite.

The difference is that TWC is a single source that portrays Grievous as terrible while there are around a dozen sources that portray him as awesome thus TWC's portrayal is not representative.

  10. Okay took me some time to read about all but K'Kruhk no he was not impressive at all he lost against Grevious and Ventress and the only good thing about him is that he survived a long time but he was non the less not impressive he survived because he hide a lot.

Fay well sorry to say so but no she was not impressive especially because of how she died did she not learned force sense? She did had a interesting ability but in the end she was just a average jedi why well you have to beat Ventress at least to not be one.

Nahdar Vebb this hell no this guy was the definition of average really use the force you idiot when you fight Grevious push then push more and then more and he had so many opportunities when Grevious was distracted but no he went lightsaber duel way. Do not let him get close and have the advantage.

Pong Krell yeah do I really have to say why this guy? He got shoot in the back after he got captured while he knew he was gonna be attacked by the clones unlike during order 66 this time he knew and still lost. By the way he was captured first really captured not killed do I have to tell you how weak that is?

Ima-Gun Di no nothing impressive about him just a good person and a great man but not a great jedi sorry but that is the truth what he did even a normal non force user could have done.

Rahm Kota this guy was weak a rackdoll jedi master he only got owned everytime I saw him fight.

How is it a poor feat to loose to Starkiller? Everyone in the OR Jedi order would have lost to Starkiller. The fact that Kota was even able to have a fight and wasnt crushed instantly, the fact that he wasnt even really trying to win and the fact that he survived already put him head and shoulders above most of the OR order.

Its also not a sign of weakness to loose to Ventress and especially Grievous as basically everyone in the OR order would have lost to them.

  11. There where from the Star Wars:The Clone Wars both the 2003 cartoons and the 2008 animation something. Both shown Grevious quite affected by a force push.

Also does it mean that most of his kills where not shown either in a comic, a book, a movie or in animated format?

Does TWC means the 2008 clone wars series? Why are they not showing the real Grievous?

OCW stands for old clone wars, the 2003 cartoon, TCW stands for the clone wars, the new cartoon.

In OCW and most/all other sources of that time period Grievous kicks @, while in TWC he is a real looser which is why I describe TWC Grievous as not the real Grievous.

Unlike as in TWC, in OCW Grievous is not strongly effected by telekinetic attacks. Iirc he is not damaged by tk on Hypori and on Coruscant he dodges 2 tk attacks, appears undamaged by a third one that hits him and is only force crushed by Mace due to reasons already explained multiple times such as shatterpoint, Mace's strength in the force, the fact that Grievous was trying to flee not fight, Grievous most likely expecting Mace to attack with the lightsaber etc.

  12. 20 something jedi Grevious killed the only other non force user who killed more was the BH and even that was hard to believe. The point still stands they did not used the force to kill him. They could have done that as its very efficient look at how Tano managed if she used the force. Look how Windu managed as he really damaged his internal organs with it.

Why don't they use the force well because they can't they have not been trained to do that. Unless you are Anakin you will will not become stronger then the Jedi of old.

First of all Grievous killed over 100 Jedi.

There are several reasons as to why telekinetic attacks dont work on Grievous. First is his speed. Grievous was shown to dodge telekinetic blasts from high level Jedi in OCW, an average knight would have had no chance of hitting him. He can anchor himself into the ground using the magnetic claws on his feet to resist force pushes. He is also very durable making it almost impossible for an average knight to damage him by simply smashing him into a wall. The reason Mace could cripple him was his immense strength in the force and that his shatterpoint likely revealed the weaknesses of Grievous' body.
