  1. Sure, if you prefer taking a **** standing as opposed to a kneeling meditation... What?! When? HOW?! WHERE!? Republic feels more like the original trilogy (run down, things thrown together in mish mash), Imps feel more prequels (sleek and shiny).
  2. To be fair, it could be possible to introduce new ships that we can purchase from level 60 onwards since we need to pick and choose new companions. I suppose Bioware would need to have thought about this beforehand to work on it, maybe they still have time? I mean it was because of companions in the first place that we couldn't have different ships / decorate our ships as they were scripted to certain area's of the ships during different cutscenes. Decorations may have clipped with them and different ships would require them to script them for each and every different one.
  3. You get this one last post outta me and I'm gone. I'm not leaving because you've proven anything. I'm leaving because you're an idiot. You are essentially one of those crazy people you see in the street standing on a box, holding "that book" and shouting at random passers by that "things are wrong!" followed by quotes (at least they can give quotes.) Things change. Most of us don't like change and try to cling to what we know and love. But eventually you need to suck it up, man / woman up and move with the times. They are not going to change it, nor should they because hey, Bioware made the story in the first place, it's up to them if they want to change it... and they did. Also, I don't know who that guy is, I've never spoken to him in my life or on this forum. I don't think this has anything to do with "headcannon", it's just you clinging to two games that are long since passed both in real life and in game. Seeya.
  4. Mine mostly bugs out on me and I end up running at super speed anyway :\
  5. Quoted for Truth, Justice and my getting the hell out of here because the OP is just grasping and starting to bother me with his stubbornness.
  6. It does see action. You use it if you are on another players Ship and they go into Space Combat.
  7. It was edited to fit because it's now what is correct for this game / time period. And SOME Guardians being more than half the cast of the Jedi in the movies while the remaining were Consulars who could fight on par with the Guardians.
  8. Well, would you look at that, Consular and Guardian were canonized. But considering this "It should be noted that even though Jedi Guardians concentrated most on combat and lightsaber mastery, some Guardians were naturally so strong in the Force that they had Force ability to the degree of the Jedi Consulars. Examples include Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker. Likewise, certain Consulars were skilled enough with the lightsaber to fight on par with Guardians such as Yoda, Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto." Pretty much the entire Jedi cast of the movies. So essentially there's no difference between them since they seem to be able to do the same as one another.
  9. No it's not proven. It's proven for the two games whose lore you are clinging too as fact for the entirety of Star Wars (it seems). The lore / story ended with KotoR 2 and picked up again with TOR. <Read my references again because I'm not rewriting them> And just to further back up my theory, the movies and TV shows have no classes whatsoever, meaning 3,500 years in the future, the class system has dissolved entirely. Why don't you go rant at Disney to fix that?
  10. Make a specified quote that suggests they kept them in that time. We have very little information regarding the goings on between the end of KotoR 2 and the start of TOR, and considering the names have changed in TOR, my theory has merit.
  11. *blink*... are you being serious?
  12. No, had you bothered actually clicking the second set of links I gave you, that comes from Wookieepedia.
  13. Really? The Order disbanding, most of their History and Teachings gone due to theft and / or destruction, the new Order being run by barely trained "Masters"? You think the training paths are going to remain EXACTLY the same as they were 300 years ago when the Order is being led by what essentially boils down to Younglings / Padawans being in charge?
  14. If we break it down! TOR is essentially HALF of SWTOR. NEW is... well new, new beginnings, newly made. What's new? Well, LIFE is new! ENGINE has THREE sets of two letters En-gi-ne. HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED! Did I conspiracy right? Do I get a cookie?
  15. Yup. *message is too short, let's extend it so I can post*
  16. Yes you are, you completely ignored the valid lore reason I gave you for why it's possible the classes no longer follow the advancement of KotoR.
  17. 39 years have passed until now, what's gonna happen when the expansion hits and it jumps that number up to 49 years?
  18. Fine, here, much more in depth and much more information. First Jedi Purge Just incase you can't be bothered reading, or miss it "The Order's problems were compounded by the fact that the Jedi faced a dramatic loss of knowledge stemming from the destruction of critical centers of learning, including the Great Jedi Library on Ossus and the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. Too many important holocrons, records, and histories had been scattered, lost, or looted during the wars. As a result, there were too few experienced Jedi to instruct aspiring students and an inadequate knowledge base with which to teach them." Lost Jedi Specifically "Although they did not receive formal Jedi training, Surik's Force-sensitive followers eventually became the Masters of the rebuilding Jedi Order." So, not only was there a lack of knowledge to teach the new generation of Jedi, the eventual Jedi masters had no formal Jedi training.
  19. And I'm saying, the classes have **** all to do with the lore as this is an MMO. It follows traditional MMO rules of giving you talent trees (and the added feature of advance classes) and naming them after the titles given in KotoR. But fine, you want a lore reason? "Jedi Sentinel is one of two Advanced Classes for the Jedi Knight, the other being the Jedi Guardian. Before the Jedi Purge, there were three Jedi Classes, one of which was the Jedi Sentinel along with the Jedi Guardian and Consular. The Sentinel is the counterpart of the Sith Marauder of the Sith Empire." Just some tidbits from the Jedi Purge page: (Spoilers for those who haven't played KotoR 2... why are you still reading this, go play it!) "The Jedi Order disbanded and was hunted down by the Sith." "After that Surik travelled to the Unknown Regions to find Revan, while her companions rebuild the Jedi Order." It's been three hundred years since that happened, practically the entire Jedi Order was hunted to extinction apart from three crew members who were given partial training when it was discovered that they were Force Sensitive, Visas Marr who as a former Sith, Mical, who didn't get higher than Youngling status, and Bastila Shan. Now, with the Jedi Order being rebuilt, who is to say that changes were not made in the 300 years since?
  20. Please, please point out to me where an NPC (other than the advance class trainer) actually acknowledges your chosen path in the story and calls you a Guardian / Sentinel / Watchman etc? You can't, because the names are simply there in an MMO capacity, they have nothing to do with the lore. You want to be known as a Jedi Sentinel while playing a Focus specced Guardian, go right ahead, nobody will stop you. Hell, play a Sentinel and go down the Focus tree, that will place you closer to what Sentinels were in KotoR, balanced between Force use and Lightsaber combat. It sounds to me that you want there to be three separate Jedi classes for us to choose from, which was clearly off the table when creating the game.
  21. Got a pair of cybernetic legs in my bagsjust waiting for the moment that unbearably cute rat bastard betrays me on my Darkside Warrior.
  22. Actually they have the same model of lightsaber just different colours, your image is correct. Ven Zallow's saber was a metallic colour, while Darach's was the pure white handle. Now I know that Vindican's was a double bladed lightsaber but as has been pointed out, it's possible for some double bladed sabers to detach into two seperates. I mean, look at Satele's lightsaber in game, we get the double and single versions (granted that could be just to please everyone but the point stands, detachable). In regards to the handles simply being reused from previous cinematics, they easily could have cut Satele's in half or hell, even used one of the generic Sith lightsabers instead of Malgus'. What makes me think that they are there on purpose however, is that the owners of all the lightsabers in that image are dead.
