  1. So as it stands sage is inheriting phase walk, from which currently is a skill learnt at level 51 by a shadow... Bioware are you taking the piss??, this is just gonna break the pvp aspect and has new use to a sage in pve.
  2. I guess you don't play many classes, interupt cd ranges from 10-18 secs depending on the class which is ********, if your a vanguard you can have a 10s interupt, I think guardian is 12s? And if you shadow it's 16s imo this can make a lot especially if your tanking regardless of pvp or pve it's very unbalanced, as for other classes I'm sure they all get roughly the same 16/18s on interupt I've only noticed tankable classes being different why is this??
  3. Ye I heard about that having a all bh/trooper op group, this is why I target them first, mando/slinger/sage, unless there's a healer

I actually spent a lot of time on shadow and always am 4m on my target, the problem is, I lose out so much dps in certain pve fights when bosses jump off on other targets, it didn't matter if I was infil or serenity but with having 30m ability as serenity didn't affect as much downtime, where as being limited to 10m is quite harsh, if I was scoundrel at least you could be doing damage with flurry of vanguard with there 30m, I'm not saying melee should have 30m ability, but having 1 to fall back on would be nice at least so your doing some sort of damage, being a melee tank you have 3 taunt abilities well kinda force pull acts as a taunt with its high threat in my opinion, so wouldn't this be easier? Not that I tried but non of the shadow tanks I know have had any trouble with keeping bosses on them. This isn't me not playing the class improper most classes have a 30m option to fall back on that is all

I never thought of dps as my vanguard, I do prefer playing melee more for pvp as I panic with a range char under these circumstances, I did like the shadow and more so for pve but once this patch comes in the only thing it will effect is pve, these nerfs will hardly effect pvp, as far as I know shadow will be the only 4m pure class with the odd 10m procs, which you use more at 4m anyway, scoundrel is not far behind in this flurry of bolt and vital shot is there 30m ability but these are rarely used, it just annoying that most games favor range over melee, scoundrel for movement in scrapper is good, sneak buff and scamper but shadow just has the 1 ability which is shocking

  7. Might be worthwhile leveling up mando then, at least there not so called OP in pvp becoz no one moans about a mando or a merc so hopefully they won't mess with them?

I actually do more pvp, but sometimes my guild needs a dps and with this up and coming patch shadows are getting nerfed in a bad way for pve, I've headed in 4v4 there op becoz of serenity, ******** and class that has 4 the same can be just like this. The reason I made the post is I wanna be able to dps but do it well it just gonna be so much more of an effort to make it work on a shadow than it already was, and I tend to play infiltration more for pvp and some in pve, but soon to be a tank shadow for pve instead

  10. As title I'm looking for a class which is fairly easy to play, doesn't have much downtime due to certain mechanics in game. Atm I was running a shadow , serenity/infil depending on burst or sustain fights, with sudden change to shadow dropping all skills to 30m and have 0 damage at 30m what so ever because of pvp winge bags, I'm now in need of a different approach, I have available that's between 55-60; Sentinel (55) Guardian (60) Commando (55) If I have to level up a sage, gunslinger that's no real issue just time and effort But out of those which 1 is pretty much the go class which isn't effected as much?

Is it really worth scrapping my dps shadow and turning it into a tank??, it's not like I'm bad at shadow but when my guild has sentinels and gunslingers, commando's who do far more dps I'm only really mithered when these people don't show, where as like most other guilds we struggle for tank and healers..
  12. 1) yes resilience is 1 of the best defense cooldowns there is depending how you spec utility you can get 9secs, but lose out on a stealth Rez which is situational and hardly ever works as most times you can get dragged back in the fight even stealthed (unless I'm doing things wrong here?) . Guardians have some good cooldowns they only have 1 less defense cooldown if dps specced, but if fights are short yes they lose out with vigilance, never tried scoundrel dps for pve altho they suffer from lack of stealth for in fights, sentinels i would of thought are quite superior to most melee classes?? The inspiration buff/transdence buff? And can dish out some real damage watchman or combat. 2) ye but how many saves do you see bubbling them selves? I don't come accross many and the force cost is quite a lot if doing a full team?. 3) was unaware of this so commando or sage for healer?? 4) vanguard have always been in a league of there own. There burst is *********** amazing I've had a PT burst me down from full hp to 0 in like 4/5 gcd (6-7.5s) I wasnt doing anything but just seeing how quickly it could be done. There damage hits differently and is 1 class everyone struggles with but that's a pvp thing, and as a tank spec vanguard that is very god mode for like 20secs altho not tested but if anything like my guardian tank, well I have gone a good 30secs vs 6/7 opponents (using all the cooldowns and buffs) but in doing so helped other team members capping nodes..
  13. Simple answer no there not, serenity/hatred makes up so much dps via aoe and dot spread, if you don't believe me go parse on a dummy then go and parse on actual combat. The only good thing this class has left is pvp, which is what I currently use the shadow for. Your best bet if you wanna dps is to level a gunslinger, commando , I would say sage but then why apply pressure on healers to heal you... Failing that if you wanna be a save go healing although commando is so good at healing now it's a no brainer or go for scoundrel these are still good for heals, medpack on dps and focus on tanks makes them so easy to play, as for a shadow in General just go tank of you wanna raid they are the top dogs atm from what I hear and most my guild are tank shadow of vanguard tank, these guys are really good for tanking. Altho if you like your melee dps sentinel or guardian or vanguard I hear. Nice balanced game imo
  14. Pvp can be pretty good and fun it all depends on who ques(sp?) up, I tend to pvp on my shadow (Lightníng) or recently been on my guardian (Lightnïng) and my little noob sage séráh. Depending on the match I either end up in top 3 or if on loosing team anywhere from top9. As its a team game mostly. Most of the time when we're loosing I wonder why people que up, it's not that there bad players I think people just think pvp is like pve and it's very far from it, it's thick and fast and you gotta be on your toes, forget everything you ever learned in pve as pvp there is no set rotation it's all about buff/debuffs and how much dmg/ heals you can put out in a small space of time and helping ur team mates
