Same problem, even more annoying is that some time it sticks in place after the moment is up making any other chapter (or otherwise) skill that uses the bar bug out.

Have they had any fix for this? UNable to complete Star Fortress if a dare use heroic abilities

Agreed, we need more death grunts. On the topic: I prefer Treeks ramblings, for me its funny as hell. Who doesn't like things like: "You are big and stupid!" "You are weaker than a munyip!" "Another stupid foe gone! Bring more!" "My fate is your destruction!" Every character i own runs with Treek.
