Question: Why is there not a way to turn off general chat while keeping only your guild chat open?

You will be welcome in this nameless guild if you want to stand with the true keyboard warriors. It is easy to show hate, but a true warrior will show, a strong warrior isn't going to be reckless. He will have mastery of self control.

Also with that in mind, why is this not the absolute function of The Jedi Order? It seems like since they are full of Jedi and they are the largest guild, they should be leading by example.

I suggest to assemble a guild that completely puts away the hatred entirely. Their primary function and the only rule of the guild should be that you either show kindness to everyone unless you are being attacked or that you simply ignore those who are in fact "haters" with no further response. A solution is going to come from identifying that there is a problem, identifying what the problem is, and facing it head on: leading by example to show how to be able to have perfect self control. This game is about jedis and one of the biggest and most outstanding characteristics of a jedi to me is thier self control. Jedi never have any emotion that they are not in contr0ol of and they keep their cool in every situation. If you feel that you have the ability to truly display self control for the good of humanity then perhaps we can stand together to make the world a better place. It is not going to come from nothing, but from the actions we do rather than the words we say.

I completely agree with this. If you are not directly contributing to a solution then chances are you are most likely part of the problem. Looking at ANYTHING from a negative point of view will never lead to a positive outcome.

The problem is that you are what you practice. Mentally or even physically we do not have the capacity to be haters online and yet be totally fine away. Eventually that hate will gobble you up.

My name is Parthrexxus Dragonborn. I came about that name when Princess Amelia Dragonborn, Princess of Skyrim and the dragons of the West brought me into her family. Although I am not half Dragon, by her magic, I have dragon blood running through my veins. Make no mistake: Other than for the reason of getting what comms are required for good gear, I have ABSOLUTELY NO interest in PvP. You are right, there are people who are way better in PvP than me. The other reason that I that I want to get better at PvP (other than the previously listed reason) is to see justice be done upon all those who would enter into the game with the specific intent of either hurting others or ruining the game for others. I know most of you reading this don;t take this very seriously but cyber-bullying has led to the suicide of many innocent people and is increasing in frequency. I am interested in seeing the people who think they can get away with hurting others stopped, indefinitely.

With all of this being said, would it be worth it to make a suit of armor specifically stat geared towards expertise while keeping my regular armor for storyline?

OK so I am on an RP server but flag or not, people claim "well if you didn't want to PvP then you shouldn't have activated your PvP flag" but I didn't activate anything. I would never want to PvP unless I were in a Warzone. I will ask once nicely for people not to attack me while I am trying to complete my dailies, and then I will report them for harassment after that. Personally I think it should be in the RoC that if you attack someone who is made it clear (pvp or not) that they have no desire and are linked to doing so, you should be either indefinitely banned or at least suspended from them game.

I ask this question with humility and respect for all opinions given. Tha and because I really don't enjoy trying to complete my dailies and then running into a pvper in a non pvp area that will kill you while you are trying to fight the NPCs for dailies and then camp on your dead body until you respawn and then just kill you again before you can get a single attack off. OK, so, I know with expertise rating, it goes to make you better at pvp, but I suppose my question is: Q: If you were to gear fully for Expertise, would you still have enough power to complete your dailies with relative ease while in turn being able to deal with the occasional "I am only here to ruin this game and this day for people by killing them over and over again when they don't want me to because truely at heart I really am a bad person and probably had an even worse childhood growing up so I am going to take my hatred out on anyone that corsses my path" types of players? Also, Q: does your pvp flag automatically activate when you enter an area? Because I have never manually activated my pvp flag but seem to always get attacked by other players. RELATED: Q: Is Expertise better to gear for then any main stat for a class? Or is that only the case when you are only interested in PvP? Does it make you strong in the story against NPCs or just other players? Q: Are there Expertise armorings, mods, enhancements, and augments? Or just crystals?

No actually it isn't because I would be ok with not having the name it was a simple request. We are getting into the waters of blatant rudness now which I don't participate in. You can laugh at hard work all you want (since you probably have never done any before) but it took me weeks of working at my job to be able save up those creds to be able to afford the armor so there.

Which then brings us back to what the origina request stated, that, since the character that ( has or has not) Revan as his name is most likely not an active player and I would be willing to pay to pickup that name from him.

I wanted to be named Revan because I have worked very hard to acquire Revan's gear and Revan's title and all of that. For the people making the argument that you cannot be Revan because Revan already exists, then how is it justified that you can have all of Revan's clothing. I mean, if you can't be him then why do they let you wear all of the lore character uniforms? PS. I also agree with the post to ask why people get so upset about others having fun? Is it because the people who do get upset about that are only having fun when they are ruining it for others? I think that might be the case.
