  1. Unfortunately many of those artworks look like they were just the concepts of armor that has already been released. Jedi Knight- Very similar to Underworld Level Gear Trooper- Exactly like the Underworld Level Gear Smuggler- Exactly like the Arkanian Level Gear Sith Warrior- The Black Hole gear without shoulder pads and with fur Sith Inquisitor- It has the Eradicator's mask Bounty Hunter- The War Hero set Agent- the Underworld set but with a hood instead of the helmet. That said though I wish that we could get some of these sets that look closer to the concepts than their in game appearance.
  2. This might be a little biased because the Trooper is my favorite character and favorite story (played neutral to darkside), but the basic premise is that you're a Spec Ops commander meant to take on really dangerous missions, many being infiltration and assault on bases, often in tight spaces. It feels that an ARC Caster (lightning cannon) is much more suited to those situations than a very large very heavy Assault Cannon, which wouldn't be practical in a lot of the fights that the Trooper finds himself in. It's also really unlikely that the leader of a Spec Ops team would be the one carrying the large bulky support weapon. Another thing about the Assault Cannon: In terms of the Bounty Hunter story, though, also one of my favorites, you're really built up as this guy who's trained to take down baddies. The dual-wielding missile frenzied mercenary really better fits into that theme as the very deadly and forceful hunter that will take down any target thrown at him. I will say though that Powertech is the more fun class to play, but if you want strictly story, Mercenary feels more right for most of the scenarios. I'm gonna add that even though both classes play exactly the same, the Commando just feels really sluggish where the mercenary feels more agile and deadly and more armed with heavy firepower.
  3. I'm hoping the trooper has at least one chest with some ammo pouches, armored shoulder pads, and a Kama. So far, every chest developed has at most 2 of the 3. It's really ridiculous with the one chest that has the ammo pouches and kama, and has no armor at all on the arms of the piece.
  4. When will we start getting glimpses of some of the new armor and robes that are going to come out with this next update? I'd love to see if the sets that are gonna come out for Troopers and Agents are gonna be cool or not.
  5. People say that the Powertech gets more gadgets, though in reality both get different gadgets. Mercenaries get a second blaster, a lot more missiles including a tri-shot wrist missile and a jetpack-launched missile like the Fetts, and medical equipment. Powertechs get better flamethrowers and can use their freeze ray in combat, have a grapple hook, and depending on specialization a wrist blade. In terms of the story, I feel like the Mercenary fits better. The Bounty Hunter's character, and a lot of his/her missions and the lines that he/she speaks fit someone who uses a ton of Firepower, which the Mercenary fits more. Also keep in mind that the Mercenary's attacks are primarily blaster fire, missile barrages, and the wrist-mounted railshot, while Powertechs are almost exclusively Flamethrower, and almost never use their blaster pistol. Also, I see a Star Wars bounty hunter having better luck fighting from a distance with missiles and blaster fire, with flamethrower as a defense up close, than charging up close and personal to use their flamethrower as their primary method of attack. The Mercenary seems more like what the story would be focused on. Another bonus is that if you like the flamethrower a lot, it's still very useful against groups as a Mercenary, so you'll still see your hunter using a flamethrower in addition to all the other stuff. That said, though, you also mentioned your Trooper Story. The Trooper Story fits a lot better with the Vanguard, who uses an ARC Caster rather than the minigun-wielding Commando, so if it's a hard choice with the bounty hunter, you might want to consider the case with your Trooper.
  6. I would be SO stoked if the people in the design team at Bioware could combine these two chestplates for the trooper. Basic and Black Market/Arkanian. It's a bummer that we currently have to choose whether we want the ammo and comlink or shoulder pads because we can't have both at the moment The vendors wear it, the complete version, and it looks awesome, so why can't we?

  9. Man they shouldn't have closed that for SWTOR. And it's even worse because as long as this game is up, EA will likely monopolize it and not allow the creation of another better Star Wars MMO.
  10. Sometimes the jump to lightspeed causes people to crash. It's like this on The Esseles and Black Talon as well.
  11. Maybe something that looks like a in Shadows of the Empire would fit. I'd love that. Although with a much smaller blast radius.
  12. For some reason all of the old basic commendation stuff, the ones below Arkanian, none of the helmets have voice modulation, even though their identical-in-appearance Arkanian helmets have modulation.
  13. It's like that for most of the advanced classes. Also, Guardian and Sentinel are mixed up in groupfinder pops too- Sentinels have a red guardian symbol and guardians have a purple sentinel symbol. Sorc and Sin are messed up like that too.
  14. Man, that looked a lot cooler than what we have now. Wish they'd change it back.
  15. If I remember the social armors used to all be light, but were then changed to Adaptive, so I know they could do it, it's just a matter of if they would.
  16. Also, does anyone know what the old animation looked like? I can't find anything on it besides the fact that an older animation once existed.
  17. Weird how we get a telekinetic fireball at the top of a tree full of electricity-based rifle attacks.
  18. TO shorten this, make Legacy Vendor armor (exalted and renowned) adaptive and usable by any class, as long as you've done the story for the class whose armor you're wearing.
