  1. Every guild has that issue.

Key that those guilds do is have access to a larger recruitment base so they can refill/reload easier. They also have players that are willing to sit on progression weeks unless they are needed where in other guilds that'd be drama/.

I can't speak for every guild you listed, but I can say that in the last six months we've had 12 applications.

If that's the larger recruitment base then ...we are all collectively fuct. :jawa_mad:

  2. Man you guys are really into this game. I've purchased probably 1,000 cartel packs, have millions of credits and all the mounts, pretty sweet looking gear and I've just hit 32 on my first character. The change of focus is probably my fault. heh.

    :csw_c3po:

That said, I strongly disagree with rules being put in place for kills. This community is small enough. At most there could be a restricted league and an unrestricted league, but I've always viewed a kill as a kill, it happened and theres not much more to it. Nobody follows this community, and you're not playing for the masses - you're playing for yourselves because you enjoy the game.

Any small amount of drama that comes from the few guilds on top is part of the game, doesn't need to be complicated even further, the community is too small.

  3. Is this a real thread? :mon_confused:

If you don't participate you really have no input. The people that do participate are putting extra effort in trying to be helpful and constructive for the sake of the enjoyment of everyone. What happens in the rest of your life when you have opportunity waiting and you ignore it, don't take advantage of it? Other people pass you.

I can't believe this is a thread. You guys need more things to kill or something.

  4. What I gleaned from the r/swtor thread is that there is NO kill verification and that your system is entirely voluntary. Additionally, any guild wishing to submit kills to claim credit would need to create an account. This last part seems especially inconvenient. The lack of verification seems like a step back. And the fact that its voluntary makes it limited to the same crowd who currently submits progression data. I don't see how this is better at all.

Edit: I sounded meaner than intended here. The site is visually more navigable for a novice user. It would be perfect if Bioware would work in tandem with you or even buy it from you to incorporate with tracking data that they acquire ingame.

One feature of his progression site that I like is that it tracks kills, not 'kills based on one persons opinion'. So yea its a step forward, and more in-line with progress tracking in other mmos for sure.

  5. Hrm world firsts in 16m, Dread Guard, Operator, Kephess, TFB, Thrasher, Ops Chief, Olok, Warlords, Styrak.

    and 16m world only TFB.

i guess you find getting your facts straight impossible.

So that's 9 world firsts in 16m for us. How many do you have in 8m?

According to our spreadsheet: all of them.

Haven't you seen our S+V tracking document? After the communities unanimous decision last round of dungeons to go full RP points we created our own tracker. We full on blitzed World Firsts right down the line months ago. Sorry you missed the fun.

  6. Usually we have 5 slingers, on rare occasion maybe 6. So usually 50% of the dps spots in the raid are filled by slingers. I don't know what DnT runs, but I've tuned in to DnT streams and seen 2 snipers in the 8 man, which is also 50% of your dps spots being filled by snipers.

I should apologize that I just threw math at you since you find math impossible.

We find math impossible, you find world firsts impossible, I find the Swtor community impossible, we all have our vices it would seem.

    :rak_angelic:

  7. Soooo, 4/5 world first and a world fourth on title and we're 13th on the list. /golfclap.

That pretty much answers why we're no longer participating in these.

Two new instances announced, and I'm so excited. I simply cannot wait to see how those are done linearly. I expect they'll both be something like five non-linear doors so the collective swtor community's heads all simultaneously explode. I hope to see the many rp council meetings that follow on how to game progression excel docs. I can't wait to watch that drama.

Goodjob to the dudes killing bosses. Keep up the great work.

  8. Its pointless to ask me to post, firstly because nothing we are discussing will ever make it off the internet; e.g. talked to bob at work today about his emorals when playing videogames specifically competitive raiding something like maybe 100 people care about tops - and secondly because in my mind I see no issue; we killed some bosses first, was DG doable; maybe obviously but we made the decision to skip it and clear the rest; its very obviously not tuned correctly even if it is killable i think thats fairly agreeable, but there are a lot of other things to consider. Nobody here is being paid to play swtor, we dont care about the 'eurovision' of anything much less our guilds emorality I mean cmon be serious.

We werent claiming first clear, we openly admitted we were skipping this dumb DG encounter, we streamed the whole thing and the amount of people watching was easily the whole target audience for this small scene anyway but there were no initial complaints, and we were willing to compromise with half points for bosses after DG because it seemed reasonable - we are a multigame community and that whats common. In the end it doesnt matter because when the 7 people in the future ask who killed something first ultimately its not going to matter what you tell them, at least if youre honest and say DNT they may have heard the name before and be more willing to play at a competitive level.

If we cared about anyone elses feelings we wouldnt be around still. We win, the end justifys the means. iPhone typos.

  9. I stick with the spirit of competition. I wish I could prove it better then that. SuckaFish WILL NOT move forth like that. If they do, it will be under new leadership. We didn't need to have a discussion about skipping cause if you need to discuss it then you know it's wrong in the first place. But I see how they currently roll, winning is a must, cheat if you have to, the ends justifies the means.

The devs didn't say it was cheating, they said: Congratulations, did you find any bugs to report?

Thanks for discrediting us for no reason though. :D
