  1. Nope. Satele is Dynaheir. Also... *Looks up* Mazzy Fentan. One of these days I'm actually going to play BG, and it'll be easier to remember these things. Oh, and Female Commander Shepard, Bastila Shan, and Female Trooper (Who is also a Commander - Coincidence?). Probably somebody from Dragon Age, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I do, however, want a miniature giant space hamster as a pet or companion. Many eyes will be gone for.
  2. Might I add something? Suppose the Inquisitor didn't send the fleet. What happened then? Well, in the Smuggler story on Rishi, you gather tickets to a ship that a Hutt is taking out of the galaxy to get away from the war (You can't use them because they're for ammonia-breathers only). Perhaps that Hutt's Yacht discovered the Eternal Empire. I don't know the Rishi story for Trooper, Agent, Bounty Hunter, or Consular yet. Do those have something that could connect to it?
  3. Master Ja-mags, Hero of Tython, Human Male Sentinel T7-01: Jedi are forbidden to form attachments, and I like to think I'm mostly pretty good at that, but I don't know what I'd do without this little droid. He was there with me at the beginning, he was there with me at the end. He's dependable and enthusiastic. Knight Kira Carsen: Kira's a good jedi, and a better friend. Her past concerns me, but I'm more afraid for her than of her. She's fought at my side since Coruscant, and I'm glad to have her with me. Doctor Archiban "Doc" Kimble: I'll admit it: the guy strikes me as a little sleazy. And by a "little" I mean very. But, he's dedicated to his work, and I can count on him to do the right thing. Sergeant Fideltin Rusk: Rusk mostly just stands in the corner looking moody. I don't mind him, but we're hardly the best of friends. Lord Scourge: He doesn't like me much. I get the idea he feels like he has to follow me. The moment he stops thinking that is when he'll try to stab me in the back. It's a shame, but it's the only way I can see it playing out. He's been through a lot, and he's made himself useful, so he doesn't bug me that much. Darth Occlus, Octavios Kallig, of the Dark Council, Human Male Assassin Khem Val: Something about the Dashade bothers me. It might have something to do with his wanting to eat me. He's reliable, if nothing else. Captain Andronikos Revel: He's a good pilot, but he can't appreciate subtlety. It made Alderaan much harder than it needed to be, but he remains useful to me. Apprentice Ashara Zavros; What I dread more than... more than a lot of things, is the day Ashara falls to the Dark Side completely. I have some difficulty manipulating Jedi, as I discovered on Alderaan, but Ashara makes an excellent subject for practice. Tallos Drellik: We share interests, and Drellik has prove quite useful to me, without becoming dangerous. He and Andronikos are my only allies that don't need to be watched for signs of betrayal. Andronikos wouldn't risk it, and Tallos has no motive. Apprentice Xalek: The Kaleesh has spirit, and he'll make an excellent Sith, so long as he doesn't try to get there through me.
  4. My Smuggler, Jakskenn/Jaks Kenn: Corso Riggs Corso's a good guy. Sure, he can be naive at times, but he's loyal, honest, and good in a fight. The whole "Names his blasters" thing kinda worries me, though. Overall, there's no one I'd rather have at my side in a tough situation. Bowdaar I'm just going to say it. Life debts creep me out. I rescue him from a life of servitude, and in return he pledges his life to my service. How does that work? Still, I don't dislike him. I'm glad to have him with me. I don't know where I'd be without my big, vibrosword-wielding furball. Risha Well, I married the woman, that should say something right there. She's tough, intelligent, pretty, and helps me focus on the important things. The important things being credits. Don't get me wrong, if it's a good cause, I can be generous, but I've got to make a living, y'know? Akaavi Spar Mandalorians creep me out. Always have, always will. They talk about "honor" as though it really means "killing a whole bunch of stuff." But you have to kill a whole bunch of stuff like a Mandalorian, otherwise you're a dishonorable aru... are... aroo... aroy... however you pronounce that. I like honor, and I like killing a whole bunch of stuff, but I generally consider them two very separate things. Getting off track. Mandos are weird. Languss Tuno Sometimes I wonder why the crew's medic spends all his time in the cargo hold. Guss is a good guy, I guess. Kind of jumpy, but I'm glad to have him aboard. C2-N2 Screw this droid.
  5. Comments: Replies Now, another story. This one won’t be as exciting as the last one, but I’m trying to alternate between Republic and Imperial, so I can’t just keep going. I’ll get back to it later. Title: Star Destroyer Prompt: Allies Characters: Shenara the Agent, Arginall the Warrior Chronology: During Black Talon, after Fast Exit, Dramatic Entrance, They Don’t Stand a Chance, before Lookalike Spoilers: Not much, just the beginning of Black Talon Words: 242 Author’s Notes
  6. No replies or comments. I know I’m double posting, but I couldn’t wait to write this! Title: Lookalike Prompt: Family Characters: Shonnoph the Trooper, Shiamma the Knight Chronology: Just after JK and Trooper Belsavis, after Fast Exit, Dramatic Entrance, and They Don’t Stand a Chance Spoilers: Minimal, JK and Trooper Belsavis vaguely referenced, but no specific names or events, also a few companions for both classes Word Count: 670 Author’s Notes
  7. Jedi Knight: Light A Dark Jedi can be written well, but this story just isn't suited to one. Jedi Consular: Light Haven't made it as far in this one, but so far light just seems to work best. I'd intended for my character to be neutral-ish, but that's not how it worked out. Smuggler: Any I have a lightside Smuggler, and he's still fun to play. It just boils down to what you're looking for. Trooper: Neutral/Light Dark Side Trooper kind of feels like a mindless thug. Warrior: Light It's just more fun playing Lightside Sith Inquisitor: Neutral Occlus is just so much more evil than Nox, because he's rational and manipulative. That's where the lightside choices come in. I mostly played a male Inquisitor, and the voice suited him really well. Agent: Light Everyone around you is willing to make sacrifices and compromise their values to get what they want. The story's good regardless, but Light just makes the Agent stand out a bit better. Bounty Hunter: Dark I'm playing a vaguely lightsided BH, and it's just not working for me.
  8. Republic: Jakskenn Smuggler (Gunslinger) Human Male Risha I just love the Smuggler storyline. Originally, I had a JK as my main (He's still higher level than my best Imp), but Jaks was just so fun that I ended up spending most of my time playing him.) Empire: Octavios Inquisitor (Assassin) Human Male Ashara He's such a manipulative jerk, and that's why he's so fun. If anything, neutral inquisitors are actually more evil than dark ones, because they're more rational.
  9. Just a couple random things the other reviews reminded me of. First of all, I actually have a hard time thinking of Liatrix as a Dark Jedi, because she's so believable. She's not a cackling supervillain for some LS PC to redeem (Bengel Morr, Juhani...). Second, I will admit it was a little disappointing that Theron went to all that trouble to save the clone, and she got killed before even waking up. I know, I know, sometimes the story just runs away from you, but it makes me sad anyway. Third, while all the writing is great, I especially like how you handle Satele and your BH. You just capture their voices so well. Fourth and finally, just because I can, I'd like to note that I called two different plot twists, one of them by accident. When you mentioned that Liatrix's father had "spiky shoulders" I said "Oh yeah, like Darth Marr's armor." Didn't think he was her father. Also, when Theron showed up, my first reaction was "Maybe Zane's a revanite." Though, he's not the best at making passwords, it seems. That would be like if my Agent made his password "K-E-E-P-E-R."
  10. Replies: Comments: I still can’t think of a good story for the actual prompt, so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. Title: They Don’t Stand a Chance Prompt: Competition Spoilers: Very minor spoilers for, like, the first thing you do as an Agent, no twists or anything Characters: Joldinyn the Bounty Hunter, Shenara the Agent Chronology: On Hutta, after Fast Exit and concurrent with Dramatic Entrance Word count: 744 Author’s Notes:
  11. Replies Comments Now, onto my story. More Goldy, and I’ll bring back Jol next time. Title: Dramatic Entrance Prompt: Serendipity, I guess Characters: Goldinyn the Smuggler, Shonnoph the Trooper Chronology: On Ord Mantell, some years after Fast Exit Word Count: 374 Author’s Notes
  12. Probably should've explained that a bit better. I'm just saying that he might be trying to do something similar. Perhaps just cut off the Living Force. Maybe he's connected to the Unifying/Cosmic Force, which could sustain him if he does that. By the way, I'm completely speculating by this point. I never thought any of this would actually be the case, but it ocurred to me that destroying all life would be in defiance of the Force itself, and therefore it could apply the other way around.
  13. Hmm... From what you've already done, I guess I'd say the same 12344321 structure everyone else is proposing. However, storywise, I would've done either: Knight Warrior Consular Agent Smuggler Inquisitor Trooper Bounty Hunter Knight, Warrior, and Consular are all connected, with JK being sort of the "centerpiece" of the game. Agent, Smuggler, and Inquisitor are just really good. Trooper and Bounty Hunter are eh. Or else: Bounty Hunter Agent Warrior Inquisitor Smuggler Trooper Consular Knight This is the order in which they canonically end, at least. Makes Knight the climax, rather than the starting point. The problem is, you're going all imperial and all republic. Unless you enjoy both equally (I favor pub, and everyone else in the entire game favors imp), it'll get a bit tedious if you're on your off-faction, so to speak.
  14. DISCLAIMER: I don't know whether I'm insane or brilliant. You be the judge. Also, KOTOR II spoilers ahead. Let's have a little chat about the nature of the Force. We all know the basic words. It has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the universe together. Sort of like Duct Tape, which happens to be the name of my Consular (Duct-tape, Mender of the Rift). Anyway, let's dissect that a little. For the purposes of this crackpot theory (And the movies and everything Star Wars) : Light = Good = Balance = Purity Dark = Bad = Imbalance = Corruption So, the chosen one is supposed to bring balance, AKA light, to the Force, not leave it in Darkness, AKA imbalance. Now, it's implied that the Force is conscious. "The Will of the Force." It chooses to show certain visions to certain Force Users. It seems to favor the Light. That's because on some level, it dislikes the corruption the Dark Side represents. Dark Siders are, in other words, taking the quick and easy path to power by hurting another being. It fits, right? Now, let's discuss the other dual nature of the Force. Unifying and Living. The Unifying Force is the larger cosmic energy field. So, to my knowledge, and I may be extrapolating here, the Unifying Force affects the material world, and gives Force Users their power. To lose one's connection to the Unifying Force is to become Force Blind. See also: Meetra Surik. Hey, KOTOR II. That's going to be a recurring theme here. The Living Force connects specifically all life. If a life is cut off from the Living Force, it dies and does not become one with the Force, unless it's a particularly powerful Force User. Say, if someone used a Mass Shadow Generator (almost wrote Mass Sadow Generator - we're not talking about him) on Malchor V, Darth Nihilus would survive as a Wound in the Force. Oh, look, there's KOTOR II again. Pop quiz time. What's the most efficient way to wipe out all life in the galaxy except for a very powerful Force User? A. Destroy the Force, thereby eliminating The Living Force for stuff to connect to B. All of the Above Wait, Destroy the Force? Sounds like... Darth Traya. Hello again, KOTOR II. tl;dr Vitiate is going to do what Traya was trying to do. He is also a Gree who will be the hero of Star Wars Episode XIII: The Force Has Breakfast. That is what Fidothegran keeps telling everybody, right?
  15. That depends. If it's a duel in an empty room, Nox and the Wrath would utterly curbstomp the other two. The Wrath is what Vader would be if he weren't slowed down by cybernetics, while Nox is vastly more powerful than Dooku, and probably at least a competent duelist. If we're talking starfighter battle? Vader wins by default. If you mean Kaggath-style all-out war, that's actually a close fight. Nox and Vader are both brilliant strategists, while Dooku and the Wrath would make effective field commanders. Fleet-wise, the Death Star and the Silencer are probably about matched, but if Vader could get the Death Star to Nox's home planet (let's say Vader and Dooku are working from Coruscant while Nox and the Wrath are working from DK), it's all over. Boom. Oh, wait. It's Nox. Nevermind, he/she's just crazy. Imperius is weak. Occlus is the real evil mastermind.
  16. I see what you mean. First of all, if you want more endings, I recommend the Agent. How many are there again? One, two, three, four, maybe five? Second of all, there actually was a slight consequence at one point. In Beta, DS JKs got a lecture from Satele and didn't get to be made Masters, they got "General" for a title instead. People complained, it was changed. That's also how the Warrior got to be a Darth. So, in conclusion... Play lightside?
  17. So, to review: Facts: By 600 years after this game, there is no Empire. Phantom Menace Republic is ostensibly the same one we see here. Conclusion: In 600 years or less the Republic will defeat the Empire, or survive something the Empire doesn't. Caveat: They could pull a KOTOR II (as in, the backstory of that game) and have the Empire "win" like the Triumvirate did, but the Republic still exists and the Empire is defeated later by them or a third party. However, since this is a not-quite-a-sequel to KOTOR II, it would be kind of cheap to use the same plot device. My prediction: Once the game ends, there will be some story about the outcome of the war, in which the Republic will win.
  18. But... But... Cookies are the dark side! You don't want to end up looking like Darth Baras, do you? *Eyes cookies* Hmm... On the other hand...
  19. Replies: *No Comments* Now, we move on to my BC legacy (the others are on EH, by the way), the Shiannas. I say that like they’re all related even though they’re not. I think I’ll start out with the Chiss Cousins. Sorry it took me so long to get this up. I wanted to post a couple days ago, but Real Life disagreed. 21. He never went behind the door, but maybe that's what he was trying to do...
  22. This happened last week or so, so I may be conflating a few different incidents. Alright, so I'm levelling my Assassin Tank, and 12x XP has failed me for the last time *force choke*, so I'm just doing KDY a couple times to reach the appropriate level for my story mission. I get in, the party is a Juggernaut Tank and a Sorceror DPS from the same guild, and a Mercenary. Don't remember his role. The Merc disconnects IMMEDIATELY. [Group] Octavios: Well, we're off to a great start. So, we make it to the actual flashpoint, and are three-manning the first level pretty handily. I think it was the one with the four rooms where you have to destroy bombs and stuff. We even take care of the elite defender, and get an Operative DPS in before we fight the Station Guardian prototype. So far, so good. We make it to the next level. It's the prison. This is where things get weird. We go into a cell block, and the Juggernaut proceeds to aggro every enemy in the room, including several elites, and more trash than I care to think about. I just start lacerating to thin the herd, but it's not enough. We wipe. We come back, and we'd thinned them enough that when the Jugg proceeded to do the EXACT SAME THING, we manage to kill them all. We go to the other cell block. He does it again. We get split up, and wipe again. [Group] *Operative*: This is getting expensive. We get back in there, and I ask why we keep aggroing all the enemies. [Group] *Juggernaut*: FOR SPARTA Thanks, that really answers my question. Anyway, he does it again. The Operative, who's actually fairly competent, unlike the rest of us (Yes, that includes me. Not much experience tanking.), gets knocked off the walkway. Right onto the Elite Defender. Never fear, fellow soldier of the Empire! Our friend the Juggernaut will come to the rescue, dragging a room's worth of enemies behind him, which proceed to kill all of us. We come back AGAIN, and this time for some reason, the Jugg starts taking the enemies group by group like a normal person. We kill the Elite Defender without incident. THIS IS NOT THE END OF IT. We get to the Boss. The Trooper. The one with the Sticky Bombs. I'm just glad we got something other than the Jedi. Every time he uses the bombs, the Operative uses the thing that clears them off, I'm about a second behind him. The Sorceror, however, just runs around in circles spamming Force Storm, and by the time she remembers to go to the bomb-cleaner-thingy, it's too late. I know what you're thinking: "What about our dear friend the Juggernaut?" When he gets stickied, he... Just keeps attacking. Doesn't even react. Then he disconnects half way through the fight, having just returned from dying a second time. I mean, I know it's just KDY, but that was ridiculous!
  23. Comments: Now, I’ll be moving on to the last of my main 8 characters, my SW. Title: Not Like Them Prompt: Worst Day Ever Characters: Thralinn the Warrior, Augustus the Warrior Chronology: Roughly a day before the Class Stories Word Count: 275 Author’s Notes:
