  1. 1) /stuck rarely happens. Strictly Business used to openly exploit it, but not so much anymore

     

    2) Corner capping in Novare is the primary way of getting caps. Wiping out enough of the team rarely happens with the current state of the game.

     

    3) Yes. Level 54 implants/earpiece have been used for a long time now as it was in a guide to gearing up.

    It was only recently discovered that 54 crafted gear is bugged in general, and that the weapons/offhand bolster too well. Since last week, many rated players have been switching to the crafted weapons/offhand.

     

    4) Yes. Almost always used on voidstar when bringing a class that can heal (one weakness of 2x sniper).

    Agreed. It would be great if there was an official response on how BW feels about bolster currently, and what their plan is in the future.

     

    Why release a system that wasn't fully tested?

     

    Any system as complicated as bolster is bound to have bugs, regardless of the testing that was done.

  3. RWZs have become mostly a stalemate where there are games that hit the 30 minute time limit without a team getting 10 kills. There was a x16 multiplier round AH on my server last night until a pylon was finally capped.

     

    The largest contributing factor to this right now is that operative/scoundrel healing output and their increased survivability is simply too high.

  4. 1400-1500 expertise is horrible.

     

    The expertise tradeoff is not worth the extra stats on the armor pieces. Only reason to use the 69+ armor pieces is if the set bonuses are much better than the PvP counterparts.

     

    As for the weapons, you realize that even PvP weapons get bolstered? Not trying to be snarky because the whole bolster system is so convoluted.

     

    Yes, bolster is broken, but, from what I've seen, it isn't because of the 72s. I have almost a full set of Underworld and use none of it in WZs. A poster in this thread (IRedRing) has a few examples of non-expertise gear being better than Conquerors.

    Not if Sifu and Hoodrat can get two more. #1 2v2 team and always wins CW offnode fights.

  6. Was reported as much on the last PTS session. I don't think this was intended, and if it was, I'd love to see "metrics guy" find out how many players have actually purchased something off of said vendors.

    There is no low endurance/high power mod for knights on the belt/bracers.

     

    But I do agree, it costs like ~4500 more ranked comms to min-max because of that (9 mods vs 9 bracers). Mods should be 1000/500 ranked/normal comms.

  7. Yes please. Use some sort of garbage collection policy on inactive names. League of Legends did this recently to make money off of selling re-names.

     

    E.x.

    Sign in before one month on your sub 20 character to keep the name.

     

    Anyone that hasn't logged in since the server merges should also have an expiry date regardless of level.

     

    It'll also have a nice side-effect of encouraging inactive people to update their clients and log in, which increases the chance they might start playing again.

  8. We keep hearing how the game is doing well thx to cartel market. But still we keep hearing also that they cant afford pretty much anything.

     

    The game is doing well, but not well enough that it would justify creating a completely new class story from 1-50.

     

    I've been playing SWTOR for 16 months now, and I've yet to finish all of the class stories (5/8). I'd bet that less than 0.1% of the *subscribers* have finished all 8 class stories. Anyone that hasn't really doesn't have room to complain.

     

    Creating new class stories rather than repeatable end game content is a bad return of investments.

  9. There will not be any new classes. They will not add a full new 1-50 story thats fully voiced with all new companions and companion interactions.

     

    Very true, but that still leaves room for new advanced classes. Or possibly a completely new class that shares an existing story.

     

    Actually, the latter would be pretty cool, especially if we could choose which story to play.

  10. Here's a list of reasons:

    1. This location is considered as PvP zone, so why don't do that?
    2. Currently, fresh 55 will got annihilated by geared players there.
    3. PvP players who enjoy spending time there, while leveling a character on warzones, will not be 1-2 shotted.

     

    What about duels too? Or other instances of OWPvP?

     

    Actually, just nip all these problems at its source and remove bolster at max level WZs, and give everyone a new recruit set.

  11. 1) WoW: Played for 6 years. Loved it during Vanilla/BC, but it became stale by WotLK. One of the overall best games ever but past its prime.

     

    2) SWTOR: Love the story and class design. Engine optimization needs work and the rewards for end game PvP and PvE aren't desirable enough.

     

    3) TERA: Fun combat but the generic story/questing just didn't pull me in. Only played for about 10 hours so far.

     

    4) GW2: Great art design but clunky movement, simplistic combat, unappealing class design, and tedious questing system. Played about 20 hours split between leveling and sPvP (hot join and tournaments).

  12. So now I should be using ilvl 61/63 PvE weapons on top of the lvl 54 implants/earpiece? Oh bolster, you so silly.

     

    Bolster is confusing!

     

    BW, if you can't even explain how bolster works (and not just its overall intended goal), then it's overly complicated/convoluted. Uncertainty with fundamental game mechanics is a bad thing, especially for a stat progression RPG.

     

    P.S. Dueling sucks now that the best gear setup in WZs is often not a full expertise set (i.e. PvE set bonuses). Effectiveness of PvE gear in dueling vs Warzones is completely different due to bolster.

  13. we dont need more warzone maps.

     

    we need a real ladder system.

    we need competitive, skill based matchmaking.

    we need some form of meaningful OWPvP.

    we need ongoing class balance.

    we need coding optimization so that warzones dont kill pc performance.

    etc etc

     

     

    if all we ever get for PvP content is new warzone maps, PvP in this game is going to remain nothing more than a mini-game.

     

    Yup agree. I'd rather see the current maps revised (CW is a load of s***) rather than introduce new ones. This is especially true for RWZs where it becomes more about cheesing objectives.
