  1. The Light Datacron (Strength) from Balmorra can also be easily obtained from Imperial characters by taking Project Hexapod (H2) and killing the Champion in one of the rooms. That explains a few things on the GTN, haha.
  2. Only if I can spare the GCD I will cleanse an actual DoT. I'll always cleanse a mezz/slow/root if possible. Some people don't know they can be cleansed, or they are tunnelling.
  3. I hope it'll get fixed at some point... I got the roll stuck bug while on the feet a few days ago just by rolling around.
  4. Bumping this, because I would love to have legacy droid armor that can be modified.
  5. The character's name is still on the screenshot (ops frames). Since you have the character selected, you should see if any relic proc is up on as a buff in a full screenshot.
  6. Just play in lowbies since 55 will be a bit brutal. You'll still get trash talked and you will possibly suck for a while, but you'll learn by playing. Reading some guides is a good way to prepare as well. Besides the guide "How to Become a Contender", there are other guides on the web and the forums regarding the PVP maps. Depending on your class, you sometimes fill a role that people will expect you to do (of course, you do not have to do it), so you might want to check specific PVP guides in the class forums (for example, Zabuza's PvP tanking encyclopedia for sin/shadow tank). /r/swtor has some Community Posts about warzones tips and strategies, so you might want to check it out too.
  7. It wasn't actually fixed. It is still occurring.
  8. I'm hoping I'll be able to grab my PVP gear by then so I don't die too fast. :'] I hope a lot of people will show up, this should be fun and laggy.
  9. Heh, I'm kinda relieved to read I'm not the only one having some trouble with arenas as a healer as solo. I haven't done ranked yet (I seriously don't feel ready), and honestly, doing arenas has questioned my ability to heal as an operative. :'D I've had terrible experience so far. I find them a bit stressful, since a mistake can be very costly (e.g., using a CC breaker too early or too late), I think more for healers and also tanks. It's more forgiving in warzones (especially since there might be a second healer, and anyone can revive—it's easier to know who to prioritize for healing). I guess a lot has to do with LoSing and positioning, like in warzones... and trusting your team is good at DPS. But if your teammates aren't helping you by either CCing, or just plain peeling, it definitely isn't fun to heal for arenas. You're just gonna die when those 3 DPS are focusing on you and you've used all your escape and defensive skills, while your team is still focused on the healer.
  10. The bug is still happening. In a Huttball match yesterday, my operative was rolling, got knockback'd and rooted, and then I couldn't move.

    I'm Clueless

... Gormak Crystal AlphaWave Inhibitor? You know this is for the Nightmare Pilgrim? Time to read some guides.
  12. Clueless people will call the other team hackers/cheaters, it's kinda cute. Pubs are not better at PvPing than Imps, but I think there might be more premades right now (this is why I sometimes feel 55 is dominated by Pubs, but it might be me being narrow-minded). Lots of teams complain about the lack of healers, but I think it's the same on both sides. I'd complain more about players on both faction not focusing on the same weak target (like why would you go after the tank instead of that weak sage), or DPS jugg/sin/PT with 0 protection (pft teamwork). Tunnel vision is also a widespread disease. I haven't PvPed that much on my commando at 55 yet (I'm slowly gearing her up), but lowbies was balanced from my experience.
  13. The number of times this gets brought up on the forums... Just... no. Sometimes, you have to leave for other reasons, e.g. real life, in-game bug (mostly roll bug for operatives/scoundrels). I don't want people dicking around in warzones because they do not want to be penalized. I'd rather have the bads or people being jerks leave the warzone than stay on my team.
  14. I'd say anyone should try to cap when given the opportunity. Don't expect that DPS to do it. I had a few games where people were not trying to cap during combat or stop cappers in Novare Coast, because it's the DPS' "job" to do it, so healers were only preoccupied with only healing. Ignoring objectives is just bad. You don't need to do much to stop a cap. (Unless you're talking at the beginning of the game. Healers shouldn't cap and guard unless you have an abundance of them.)
  15. If it's such problem for you, you can set a tab specific for ops chat only, and move it out of your main chat window. Or you could change the color. I'll keep typing it in lower case (and uppercase when no one is reading the damn chat). This is really not them being bad (besides just calling "east"), but you not paying attention. If you see that person's health dropping super fast, you better move.
  16. There's way less expectation to do great in lowbies, so I suggest trying on a lower level character if you have one. It will be more enjoyable than starting 55 PVP where you'll face well-geared players and premades. It's also where you should get familiarized with the maps and strategies (it's good to know where you can LoS or get any of the power ups). Assist in a kill rather than 1v1, stay in group, help your healer by getting those pesky DPS off them, use your taunts if you have them (regardless if you are DPS), don't forget to buff yourself when you respawn, and do use your WZ medpacks and adrenals.
  17. As you said... low level PVP is where you should expect people to be particularly terrible, especially as they tend to be mostly newbies and are (hopefully) learning to PVP. Set your expectations lower, even in the 30-54 bracket, and group with some people who know what they're doing and you can carry your team to victory. I sometimes give basic instructions right at the beginning of the match in lower brackets (although 55 sometimes need to be reminded of these). High level PVP tend to have more players who actually read and call incoming, but don't expect great PVP regardless, especially on the Imperial side (Pubs have better premades/players). Even some people at high level will do these newbies' mistakes, but also won't be focusing on healers or have no awareness at all.
