  1. Greetings all, some of you may have heard about our first dueling tournament on September 8th of 2016. We had a total of 46 contenders with 8 winners, and 1 grand champion. The Grand Champion received 2,400 CC's, each advanced class winner took home 1 million credits, a twilek dancer decoration, and a rare war hero crystal. Well turnout was so good and the reactions to the tournament so positive that we've decided to host another tournament. Come one and come all, we are holding a faction wide Imperial dueling tournament! Hosted by the guild <Globaled Warming>. Huge prizes, judges for all matches, stiff competition, and bracket dueling are all in place to make sure only the very best duelist wins. Rules are these: - lvl 65 only - Full PVP gear, (don't waste our time with PVE gear) - Initially you will advance by only dueling your own class, we need a champion of each advanced class. Powertech vs powertech until we get to the champion, marauder vs marauder until a champion emerges and so on. - After the champions of each advanced class emerge they will then duel one another for the ultimate duelist Award and a huge reward - No trash talking at the tournament. - Venue will likely be the Globaled Warming Yavin 4 Stronghold. - Each match will have a Globaled Warming judge watching the match to make sure the fight is fair and no rules are broken. - During the match, no health packs are to be used, and no grenades. Use of either of these items will result in immediate disqualification. - Entry into the tournament is free, the only thing that is required is pre-registration so we can organize the brackets and determine who will be fighting who. - Duels are simple, 1 match to decide if you advance or drop out. No rematches are available, except in the case of a very rare tie. Each duelist will make sure all of their cooldowns are available prior to the match beginning. - Any duel that has a glitch occur with the landscape or a decoration in the arena will be granted a rematch with full CD's. - NO HEALERS Now for the important information. The tournament will be held on the Imperial side of Shadowlands on Saturday October 8th at 7PM server time (eastern standard time)! Please be on the Imperial fleet between 6pm and 7pm as we will be doing a roll call and will then send you an invite to the Stronghold. We strongly encourage you to sign up/register early. Please message any Globaled Warming Officer to sign up. Any questions post them here or in game message Back'Stabbed / Adelyte Hope to see you at the tourney!
  2. You're more than welcome to come to our next Dueling Tournament on October 8th, 2016. There will likely be an entry fee to this one however, ask Globaled Warming officers for further details.

  7. So I'm originally a Prophecy of the Five refugee, I fled the server shortly after the first mass exodus in 2015 when server transfers became cheap. I went where most of the other POT5 transfers were going, Shadowlands. PVP has always been my passion for this game. I soon was recruited into a successful PVP guild for the Republic side. I wanted to create an Empire toon, and soon found out the Empire side has a lot more PVP guilds, but the problem I kept running into was they were far too restrictive to join, or not active enough for it to be worth my while. So I took it upon myself to form my own guild, from scratch, knowing no one on the imperial side of Shadowlands. This was about 100 days ago, the guild has since seen a guild name change, the addition of a Flagship with 1 expansion unlocked so far, a 24/7 running Team Speak server, and the addition of 365 members to the guild (this includes alts). I'd like to also think we're gaining some notoriety as a known PVP guild, people sometimes remember us or ask questions about us. The guild is called <Globaled Warming>, we are a pure PVP guild. No operations whatsoever, we may do the occasional flash point, and some day I'd like to do planetary guild invasions on republic bases, (we still do guild invasions for conquest, usually in the top 10 also), but for now we just run premades in reg WZ's and when it's popping we try our hand at Ranked, with mixed success so far. The guild is still young, but we are eager to expand. My recruitment process for the guild is simple, I'll invite anyone who enjoys to PVP, I will kindly guild kick if I notice you're bad or beyond help in the PVP department. We are not a seriously strict guild in that we only recruit the best of the best, but we do have a good core group of serious PVP'ers who happen to be fairly good. Anyways, look for us on Shadowlands, Globaled Warming. I'm GM, Back'Stabbed, feel free to message me in game for further details about the guild. You can also ask my next in command, Jo-on, Prowlin, DiscotheQue, Meatflaps, or Mahow for additional information or guild invites. Hope to see you guys around!
  8. Recently went into a 4 man arena for regs, we were all in comms, as were our opponents, since they were all in the same guild, and a known PVP centered guild. Our setup was scoundrel healer, guardian tank, sage DPS, and sent DPS. Their setup was 4 sorcs, 3 DPS, all DOT spec I do believe, and 1 sorc healer. I've NEVER faced a group like this before. At first their lack of a tank encouraged me, I figured we could easily whittle down their healer, but the amount of offhealing from the other sorcs and the OP of sorc healer by itself made this basically impossible. As the healer for our group I felt an insurmountable amount of pressure put on all of us. Uncleansible DOTs that continue to stack, my HOTs were no match for DOTs stacked on my groupies 3 times over from 3 different DOT spec sorcs. It was unreal. Does anyone roll a group format like this in Ranked? They were surprisingly formidable.
  9. What's been the deciding factor as far as staying? I know guildships are expensive and a lot of guilds have a LOT invested, it's hard to just drop that with a server transfer. Pub side is getting really lonely, Ascension, Republic Coalition Force, BMF, and Omega Knights, maybe Crimson Kingz to an extent, besides them it's a bunch of smaller guilds. =/ I should add, Prophecy of the Force has also completely left, as far as I know.
  10. Was hoping some other people could chime in on exactly what guilds they know that have absolutely left the server and what guilds are committed to staying and just what exactly the Flagship Guilds of each faction are. From my personal experiences and what I've learned the following guilds have either completely left or are in the process of leaving: TAW Republic Republic Bowling League Jawa Rights Activists Bladestorm Cauterize The Crushers Imperial Bowling League TAW Imperial I don't have an imp toon that I play actively so I'm not as familiar with what imperial guilds have left. As far as guilds that I've talked with that are committed to staying: Pub side BMF Ascension Imp side Grease the Servos Revan's Legacy Anyone know of any others?
  11. Not sure what planets you were on. Oricon and Yavin 4 have tons of ganking for 60's.
  12. I'm not leaving this server either. 3.3 patch is going to bring some people back anyways. New Star Wars movies might get new people to join SWTOR as well, renewed interest in this franchise. When 4.0 comes out in October I expect a lot of people to come back to their 50 and 55 toons they have not played in a year or more. This server still has a good base and a lot of great players, and best of all, open world PVP.
  13. I can be there July 22nd, but what are we going to do? And is this just for Republic side? What sort of acvtivity do you have in mind?
  14. I've never had to wait 3 hours for a WZ to pop. Maybe for ranked to pop, but that depends on when you're online. People say Jung Ma is dead too, and it's a PVP-RP server, could they merge Jung Ma with POT5?
