These "arguments" are being used over and over because people get tired of "OMG I just got ganked, what an ******e" in chat. Personally (hardly a PVP Enthusiast) I think that the line "Don't like it ? Don't go there" is absolutely valid. I choose to go there and I get ganked on occasion, but that's a risk I have to live with. Another thing to keep in mind: People complain about being ganked - but do not know what happened to the ganker minutes before. When I get shot in a quest area I go back - and on occasion do a "preventive retaliation" against each and any player already there without concern for level or faction just so I can reduce the chance of being hindered from finishing my quest by that guy or gal. It's nothing i enjoy, it's just that I want to quest in relative peace.
