yea hopefully they extend double exp for as long as its down. i find it hard to believe its cuz of the larger amount of players playing...when it kicked me out of the game i was on the server select and my server (JC) was not heavy or very heavy and i think only one server was heavy and one very heavy. though this may have been the status after so many people got kicked off idk.

Yea if they for real put it as a reputation thing instead of just in the cartel market (LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!) then a lot of people are gonna be pissed. Now if they put it as BOTH so that people could grind out the reputation if they didn't want to spend money to unlock it, but still put it in the cartel market so those of us who don't want to spend forever grinding rep and don't mind spending money can unlock the race then that would be fine. But there is no way in this world I am grinding rep to unlock a race that isn't even that cool. I mean yes I want to play a Cathar but only because I'm so bored with the other races. And because Bioware had stated before that if Cathar does well then they will add more races - and that's what everyone wants. More races. Most of us don't really want Cathar per-say, but we want races like Togruta, Wookies, Rodians, etc. And don't !@#$ about clipping issues with races like the Toruta because we have the Twi'leks and they are no different really in terms of the potential issues with armor and headgear. They need to hurry up and put Cathar in so they can put OTHER races in.

So I know that they never actually confirmed that the expansion and the new race would be released at the exact same time, but being that they were announced at the same time shouldn't we have some kind of confirmation that the Cathar are actually going to be released sometime soon (or at all) and even an estimation of WHEN? The race is already in the game as NPC's it shouldn't be that hard to make them a playable race (seeing as that race - unlike others like the Togruta - shouldn't have any clipping issues). So I for one have no idea what is taking so long. New races are a good way for them to make some more money (since they have confirmed that any new races will be CM only) so why would they want to wait? Even just a confirmation that the race WILL be released at some point would be enough for now. This non-update stuff is just not cool.
