  1. I tvvm for your help. I started trying your suggestions but was still having issues. Luckily for me a guildie was able to help me out. I gave him the specs of my pc. When he saw I had Nvidia Geforce GTX 960m, we were able to use the Geforce Experience app to determine that no resolution setting was selected. I was able to optimize the settings through here. Once optimized I was able to log back in with no issues.
  2. Changes won't matter unless the energy consumption issue is addressed. Once Pyro/Plasma has less reliance on their basic attacks for energy management they will become viable dps classes again.
  3. Recently I had to uninstall and reinstall the game. Once the game was reinstalled I began having the dreaded resolution issues. The moment I click play in the launcher my resolution goes haywire and I can't get into the game. I've tried looking up answers to solve this issue on google. I've read some of the suggestions and even saw were customer service has advised against using certain suggestions. All the advice I saw was atleast 4 years old and in some cases appeared to be outdated. What is the best way to resolve this issue?
  4. Since the servers have gone live I have been able to access certain companions. Seems like whichever companion I last had summoned before the patch is no longer able to be summoned. I am able to summon other companions. The companions that are not showing up can still perform crew skill missions. Occasionally they will show up in conversations. They are not reacting to my choices in conversation. The one exception to that last statement is companion is reacting to conversations happening on ships (companion story and mission story). Update: Was able to resolve issue. I didn't notice this before but the companion that was not showing up still had the option to be sent away to sell trash items. I was able to summon another companion and have the new summoned companion go to sell items. When they returned I was able to summon the missing companion.
  5. Hate to be the one to inform you but he was being useful. Black Talon not granting CXP upon completion is not a glitch. We were warned by BW well in advance that they were nerfing the CXP on content that was being exploited. Black Talon and Esseles fall into this category. We were able to gain CXP at a faster pace compared to harder content like operations and pvp. It was an unfair balance that BW fixed. And FYI BW doesn't always announce all their changes especially when it comes to exploits
  6. If we are going to continue to gear through older operations in the future, the loot tables for Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace should not be on par in any way with the other operations. EV and KP are already considered too easy to the point where players constantly run them for quick easy gearing. In the future I would suggest that the tokens dropped in EV and KP be of lesser gear rating than the tokens that drop in other operations. For example a current Veteran Mode operation grants tokens with a gear rating of 242. If my suggestion was in place a Veteran Mode EV and KP could drop either a 240 token or a 236 token. With a 240 token you lose the legendary status of the item and thus can never be upgraded through unassembled components. With a 236 token the item can be upgraded but it would more effort to upgrade it to 248. With 12 different pieces of gear you could easily have all 12 tokens drop in EV and KP. Currently the final boss in all ops is dropping double the same token. Soa and Karagga can still drop 2 tokens but they could drop 2 different tokens. Having a nerfed loot table could potentially open the door for the return of Master EV and KP. This can give players that missed out a second chance to get the achievements. Players wouldn't be able to gain the best gear in the game. Using my earlier example let's say Veteran EV and KP drop 236. Master could drop 240 tokens that way the other more challenging Veteran operations would still grant better gear. TBH I believe that having a level synced Master EV and KP would initially create a culture shock to the player base. I could easily see overconfident players wondering why they just wiped for the 5th time on a boss fight that's suppose to be "super easy". There's a portion of the player base that has only done Nightmare EV/KP with an overgeared character. To this day there are players that still don't understand or never bothered to learn the mechanics for the fights.
  7. There is no logic to that change. You want to remove DfA and MV from ranged classes leaving them only one reliable aoe when Vanguards and Powertechs already have 3 aoe abilities. It's one thing if you want the animation, the damage output, and/or range back but stripping one class of an ability and not even replacing it? That is just never going to happen. If there is something that needs to change its the cell/heat cost to some of the abilities. Compared to the other non force using classes VG and PT seemed to have gotten screwed. I play Plasmatech/Pyrotech. The other day on my Pyrotech I noticed that of the 7 abilities used in the rotation only two cost less then 15 heat (Scorch 10 and Immolate 12) and Searing Wave cost 20. When compared to the other classes VG/PT have to rely on the basic attacks more frequently for energy management. Gunslingers/Snipers and Commandos/Mercs have channeled abilities that slow their consumption. Scoundrels/Operatives don't use a single move over 15 energy and depending on spec can even have a move the costs nothing. These classes do not need to heavily rely on a basic attack for energy management and in some cases don't even need their basic attack. VG/PT since 5.0 can't even complete a full rotation without heavily relying on a basic attack.
  8. You need to be brought up current gearing standards. Since the start of 4.0 all dps/heal gear contains power. Power is very easy to get. Stacking it makes no sense. Right now you should be trying to balance Accuracy, Critical, and Alacrity (alacrity is useful now). Balancing all 3 will require you to upgrade to MK-10 Augments. Accuracy is the most important stat. 737 Accuracy (or 110%) is currently the ideal number. Once you have your accuracy set then worry about Critical and Alacrity. Usually I see most players try to get there critical up first then worry about alacrity. You can use the information from this link as a guide to help gear your character http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=847112 This link will help you with 230-242 gear that was introduced at the start of 5.0. If you get this far here is a link for 246-248 gear http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=918622 Also you probably are still using power crystals in your main and off hand. Those should get changed to critical crystals.
  9. The Alliance crates is actually the main reason I think Sana is the main culprit. She seems the easiest to replace. If you ever talked to Master Ranos on Odessen, you can find out information about our missing force using companions. In the case of the Inquistor you find out the Ashara has turned her back on both the Jedi and Sith and depending on who you ask she is either a hero in Wild Space helping others or a villain. By no means am I suggesting Ashara to replace Sana but for me it does show how easy it is to create a non-aligned force user. Also even if replacing Sana is out of the question she is Voss. If this was a vision she had the story can always be manipulated to make her a heroine.
  10. To me one of the Alliance Specialists would make the most logical sense. The 4 specialist are prominent leaders within the Alliance and a betrayal from one of them would be the most devastating. Sana-Rae is the most logical for me. I can see her having a vision and doing everything to follow that vision. And to meet Tyth's comments Sana may have anger over the destruction of Voss. Dr. Oggurobb could be looking to help rebuild the Hutt Cartel. The Cartel took a major hit back on Makeb and Iokath could be the ticket to regaining power. Hylo Visz could be getting greedy. She probably hasn't had many oppurtunities for personal gain while being apart of the Alliance and she could be making a move to remedy that. Bey'wan Aygo, I got nothing. Only one of the 4 that seems to have no motive.
  11. I totally disagree with you there about Sana and Hylo not being close. They may not be important to the storyline but they are trusted leaders in the alliance. Any one of the four alliance specialists makes the most sense. They're all characters apart of everyones alliance. They are have a vital role in the Alliance to the point where betrayal can harm the Alliance. I personally believe one of the four will be the traitor. Sana-Rae for me is the most likely suspect. Voss do not seem to express their emotion that well but Sana could definitely be suffering on the inside over the destruction of Voss. Also she is a mystic. She could of had a vision that told her to do this. The Voss hold their visions in high regard. Sana could potentially be trying to fulfill her vision. Dr. Oggurobb would be next for me. He could be trying to regain power for the Hutts. Hutts lost a lot of power back on Makeb and Iokath can be their ticket to being relevant again. The alleged Scion everyone is talking about could easily just be someone working for Oggurobb. Hylo Visz is the 3rd logical choice for me. Iokath could be very profitable for Hylo. She could even be teaming with Gault planning to sell Iokath technology to the highest bidder. One can assume that since joining the Alliance Hylo has not been making major profits for herself leaving her unhappy. Only reason I put Bey'wan Aygo last is I just can't figure out logically why he would be behind it. It wouldn't shock me to find out he was behind it but I can't think of a single motive.
  12. That's partially true. Ranos says that Jaesa is searching for powerful artifacts to gain more power but that is for darkside Jaesa. If you chose lightside for her you find out she is trying to do good and help others.
  13. Hate to burst your bubble but you can pick up more dailies. I'm assuming you just need to finish the dailies you picked up first. Already completed 8 for the day. I am working on a daily called Colossal Threat. This daily wants you to kill a colossus droid. What I think we are suppose to do is go to the Assault Walker Access Terminal, purchase use of a walker, and take out a colossus droid with the walker. When you are in the walker you start with 10 million HP. I am not sure cause trying to find a colossus droid is proving to be impossible.
  14. Yes it was on JC. When the match ended a few guys on my side were like what just happened. There was some confusion as to why the match was over. The group just disbanded and took the win instead of trying to figure out what happened. I don't pvp normally. I am only doing it to upgrade my 236 pieces. When you guys capped the pylon and the other one was in a stalemate I thought we were going to lose. I was surprised to see my team pull out the win. It's why I posted this thread to learn why it happened and now I know that AHG has a time limit.
  15. The warzone did last awhile. That's probably why it happened. There was little scoring going on that whole time so its possible we did reach the 9th round. I just never saw it before and didn't understand why it happened. Thanks
