  1. My Sorc dumped him when

he sent a mean note after I had put a bounty on his head

Here is the text of the mail I got from him.

    From: Theron Shan

    Subject: You're Incredible

Now that you're back home, safe and sound, I need

to tell you how lucky I am to have someone as

amazing as you in my corner.

I know my relationship with Satele isn't exactly

what you would call "close," but I couldn't have

lived with myself if anything had happened to her--

and you worked so hard to keep her safe.

I've been trying to reach out to her more, since

things have settled down. Every time we talk, she

says how good you are for me and reminds me not

to take what we have for granted.

And she's right. You are the most incredible thing

that's ever happened to me, and you deserve to

hear it as often as possible. So if I don't tell you

that at least once a day, feel free to smack me

    Thanks so much for this!

    Theron you're so sweet .

  2. I guess the emperor didn't recognise us because it's not really the emperor but an echo

But yeah it is a let down like this whole update.

I'm just going to pretend my character had too much cheese, hit his head, had a bad dream and none of this nonsense happened.

At least the emperor is dead dead. Unless bioware needs another pointless plot point in the future.:(

  3. Not sure if I can answer your question as I haven't played outlander with sith warrior yet but as far as I know I'm sure you can still get Vette when her character shows up in the chapters and then it is up to you to continue romance or not. Either way I'm pretty sure she will stay. However if you want to romance her you have to brake up with anyone else you are romancing to get back together. I think you can do this when you meet Vette and she will resume romance and then you get a breakup cutscene with either Theron or Lana. And if you want to romance Theron or Lana you do have to brake up with her but I'm pretty sure she stays as a companion. Ashara did for me and I kept romancing Theron and Ashara stayed with my alliance. So I don't see why it wouldn't be the same.

Not sure if you finished the expansions but just in case later on in the story there will be a choice to choose who to send to their deaths. You have to choose Vette or Torian, the one you choose dies. Can't save them both. Just letting you know if want Vette to remain with you after expansion ends

  4. I'm saying this because I think there is fair criticisms to be had of the new update. If people like the update great but to me it was really disappointing. It felt more fanservice than real story progression. Really it is the same as the last chapter of KOTET only with different set design nothing new is added that is of any substance.

It's also more of a Jedi Knight ending than any other class and I know people will say emperor is JK story but it went beyond that with the expansions and became the outlanders story no matter what class you were. Kotet fit the ending just fine not perfect sure but better than this.

Bringing Revan back was also tiresome. I love him but let him rest.

Vitiate is dug up to be killed again for absolutely no reason other than "go team go" power at the end. It made him feel very weak as a character compared to being a genuinely threat to all life as he did before. It was a childish "you pay for your crimes" gang up and "we have the force at our backs so we're better" it was silly. This being was the most evil and dangerous thing in the galaxy and I'm to believe it was all the magical power of teamwork destroyed him

Which brings me to this point. It is all so rushed, maybe this could have worked if better executed. Characters just show up with out letting us know why or how. They become pointless cameos. At least give more explanation to it. I thought Vaylin was hinting at something when she said "I wouldn't be here if he hadn't dragged me along"

The writers need to do better than that to explain why everyone shows up . They came just to kill the emperor is not good enough. It's lazy.

We need more ,why was all the people he killed there are they memories or spirit etc

Also extra characters that come with you. Kira and Scourge were adamant this was a bad idea. I took the risk and for what, nothing. There was no jeopardy, no consequence I was actually questioning should I bring them but nope it's fine. I thought it be interesting if one of them got Tenebrae's plague but nope not really a plague and no risk to any character either.

My character really felt useless in this and took a huge step back to be honest, so passive didn't even get to make a fun darkside or lightside choice. Character's achievement of being the one to kill Tenebrae felt undermined too.

It also ended abruptly would have been nice to talk to Kira and Scourge at the end or anything just not to end so flat.

Also buggy but hey this is swtor, what is not buggy these days.

There is more but the above are my main gripes.

I do want to say there are things I liked about it. Loved Tenebrae's character design. Whoever did that got it right on the mark for me. Pretty cool.

Liked talking with Satele at the end and music was nice and eerie in some scenes, it fit it well. But that is really it.

I wanted to like this update but sadly couldn't .

  5. I don't mind Lana at all but I understand when other characters are not getting the same amount of love that people start getting upset.

Honestly I think they should bring back the character conversations they use to have and work from there. If they had those I really won't mind the mix up of characters we tend to get for each new story arc.

  6. It also makes more sense IMO than having all returning squadmates loyalties be entirely to the protagonist rather than the faction. Kira's class story content & backstory would honestly make fighting for the Empire completely out of character.

Personally I think they should have also went the same way with Theron & Lana, with Theron refusing to betray the Republic & Lana being a staunch Empire loyalist.

While I can understand with Kira I don't agree with that it should have been the same way for Lana and Theron. This blocks Empire and Republic players from having Lana and Theron and their romance as there is so few same-sex romances early on. Even now with add romances such as Jaesa and Arcann they are not fleshed out.

Also considering a large amount of Lana's and Theron's relationship with people's characters mostly took place in the Alliance it does to me make sense that they are loyal to the Commander not their respective factions. Somethings go beyond ideology, people are more complicated and having Lana dedicated only to the Empire and Theron only to the Republic is boring and black and white storytelling.

  7. It really doesn't matter who you romance. The only romance characters that have any play after the original three chapters, or on their return, are Theron and Lana. If you stay true to say Quinn, or Corso or Iresso -- so what, once you have a single reunion scene they are no longer relevant to the story. They would have been better off not having the options for romance after the initial chapters because it doesn't matter..

This is why I think they should bring back companion conversations for all companions romanced or not because while we are not getting much range in our choices for main storyline at least it will feel like the companions that are not part of that are still relevant to you're character. I do think they are trying to include other characters in main story line but are just short staffed. If they included companion conversation every now and then, I think it would be better than nothing.

  8. I haven't read the comic about Thanaton so I can only go from what the class story gives us. My understanding that as well as SI being Zash's apprentice and so must die etc. Thanaton is a zealot when it comes to Sith tradition and in Sith tradition slaves just don't become Sith let alone thrive in the order.

Many Sith were forced to accept slaves becoming Sith and I think the codex says about slavery in the empire "the Sith Academy has started accepting slaves who show a strong affinity for the Force… though many still look on these former slaves with disdain."

Thanaton like most Sith had slaves, Harken says he always passes over picking from the slave acolytes and at the end of class story after everything SI has accomplished and proved he or she is worth being a Lord of the Sith, Thanaton diminish that and refers to you as a slave to the Dark Council "I will not be betrayed I will not die and when I kill this slave you will all answer for it". Pretty much implying the corruption in the Sith order is you simply because you're of low origins and that Thanaton has issues with a slave's sudden rise to power going against his beloved tradition. The whole him wanting you dead for being Zash's apprentice to me is just cover for his true feelings.

His hate is irrational (which is the nature of hate anyway) and if he was a slave himself perhaps he is projecting. If that is the case he could hate his own background , being a Sith who came from slavery and feel that he is part of the corruption to Sith tradition but to protect his own view of himself he seeks to destroy external representations (otherwise the SI) of that very thing he himself is.

After all people often hate others for what they hate within themselves. Which unresolved leads to people seeking to destroying the thing they hate. That's my understanding of Thanaton's motivation.

  9. Ah so this is why I'm having so much trouble with the walkers. Haven't played the chapter since it launched thought I was going mad. Never met the bug before but I'm laughing as this bug is stopping a work around for another bug in Onslaught where I can't get Jakarro and go further in the game as it seems if you begin Onslaight with unfinished kotfe/kotet chapters you get this bug. Lovely one bug is stopping me from getting past another bug.
  10. Same problem. I also have kotet chapter in my mission log end times. Can't clear it as the damn walkers are giving me problems more than ever before I swear they are taking huge chucks of my health and I'm not doing a scratch on them, don't remember it being like this the first time I played that chapter. Either way can't progress because I can't just simply abandon mission, can't clear the mission and so Jakarro won't show up in Onslaught. My character can't progress. Thanks Bioware.
  11. LOL! And now I've just got images of Koth, or Lana even, 'princess style' carrying a BT4 Pureblood Sith Lord... Oh Bioware should have.

I'm just now reminded of the Simspons where Homer is carrying Luke Skywalker out with "I will always love you" by

Whitney Houston. That's the scene we need :D

  12. Seriously Koth could've carried us "princess style", at least for a female PC. Guess it was easier not to do a difference between male and female PCs

If Koth carried my dark lord out princess style for everyone to see he might be the one getting a lightsaber to the back.:p

  13. They never explain it. My thought is that he was trying to show Vinn that he was no longer the loyal son of the Republic, or the loyal founder of the Alliance. Just like a kid going through a rebellious face may dye their hair a crazy color to show they are their own person. He shaved his head to distance himself from that persona.

I hated his hair in October when they released the trailer for Copero. But after Nathema, it is strangely growing on me.

I also hated his hair back when I first saw it and thought it just didn't suit. Now for some strange reason I like it. Maybe I got use to it.

  14. Also he was trained as a Jedi and had learned some tricks to handle pain and injuries, that might've helped here

Good point I forgot that. Meditation or something like breathing techniques. Also he is a train SIS agent and I'm pretty sure they would all be trained to handle high levels of extreme pain. Also if I recall Theron faced torture twice once on Rishi and once captured by the empire in vol 3 of the lost suns. I'm sure Jedi training and SIS training helped him there too.

  15. I don't want Anthem to bomb. I hope it does well.

But I don't want swtor to be ignored or shut down in favour of other things. This game I really do love it.

What I really would love to see is for Bioware to return to form. In fact I would love to see that with many game developers , film makers and different media etc.

To remember dedication to story, characters and good gameplay.

  16. So the Dark Council members did not die, yet,Acina became Empress, and they, what, hid all this time, just to join forces with the enemy to end the galaxy? What the fluff!

These Dark Council members appearing out of nowhere makes no sense.

    Darth Zash, really?

Barash? Joining with the Zakuulan made no sense, he would have made his bid for power, in the battle between the empire and the Eternal Empire.

Moreover, where were all these Dark Council members? They abandoned the Empire? Really?

The explanation of Theron's betrayal was cut m dry; unless you are a Theron fan, you'd kill him anyways. Gemini 16 was watching Odessen, there were plenty of opportunities for Theron to tell you his plans.

I like the Dark Council showing up although I thought maybe more could have been done than them just dying to fuel Zildrog and that's it. Perhaps show them realising they were duped.

    But Kill Theron. For what?

Succeeding in taking down a genocidal order that was going to kill the Commander and everyone on Odessen.

Perceived betrayal or not, Theron's plan worked. It saved people and showed how loyal Theron is to the Commander and the alliance's cause. So why reward saving so many people with "kill him anyways"

I think you could argue for him not to have done what he done would have been neglect and perhaps arguable for punishment. But Theron took a risk and did his job in doing so. One that paid off.

  17. I was never going to

kill Theron no matter what anyway but that walking away as he is dying moment is heartbreaking.

Then Bioware have these lines from Theron with happy romance ending "Every night since I left, I've had the same nightmare. You're walking away and no matter how fast I ran, I can't catch up." Ouch right in my heart.

I really loved everything of this and I thought Theron was done very well and made so clear for anyone who didn't believe in him that Theron was never a traitor. That proposal awkwardness scene is so very him.

I really wasn't planning on getting married if they give us the option but it just felt so natural that I went for it and loved it.

Yay getting married to Theron now :)

    Bioware kudos on this.

  18. The animations never really show an entry point or exit wound. So it is more where our minds assume the lightsaber hit. So maybe no vital organs. Still one hell of a wound but I don't see it as impossible with a setting of futuristic technology and the force that Theron couldn't survive that. There are his implants, Lana might be able to do some healing with the force, of course getting him back to the alliance for kolto tanks and surgery.

And if your class can use the force or heal in some manner I'm sure there is that.

And for no healing classes throw a medpack or something on it. :)

As for Theron walking, I really did want to carry Theron out bridal style :D

  19. If SWTOR ends be it by EA or Disney especially over all those screaming gamers calling Disney to take Star Wars away from EA in a "throw the baby out with the bathwater" fit.

(I'm not here to discuss the right and wrongs about loot boxes I understand the anger towards them but these fans are harming other fans by this action especially us here who have invested time and money in this game, so honestly their arguments are coming across to me as self righteous more than anything.)

and fans who want SWTOR are thrown under the bus to please that crowd.

Not only will I be boycotting Anthem. I will never buy another Bioware, EA, Disney game/product in my life.

  20. Well I see this as Governments, corporations etc getting on their moral high horse. Making sure their public image is just right when it hit media storm.

The problem with loot boxes/ pay to win was going on for a while in many games by many different companies and where were any consumer watchdog or Governments looking out for gamers.

Gamers had to deal with that on their own for years.

So if things where shut down just for this reason, for some people just wanting to clap themselves on the back I think there will be a lot of upset players not to mention how anti consumer and predatory that action would be.

What about gamers here who would be pretty pissed at losing their items gotten from cartel because EA lost the franchise.Hypocritical of Disney to pull the plug then. It would be too much a heavy handed thing to do.

  21. I think we should have gotten at least one companion each class or have the returning companions spreed a little more even between classes. But I guess as long as they do come back and don't all become retro kotor style which I still hate.
