  1. I wouldn't recommend actually even attempting to heal before 40, at least for me, I started to get more into flashpoints and PvPing, where healing was needed. I would recommend you take the Arsenal {Damage} branch. The next companion you'll get, assuming you only have Mako at the moment, is a ranged DPS. Just put skill points in the Arsenal branch until you reach that level where you get the new companion. Then you can switch to healer if you want. But again, I wouldn't become a healer unless you're really attuned to warzones, flashpoints, or operations. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
  2. Whether you get the dye from the GTN or from buying a dye pack with cartel coins, you're going to get a primary or secondary dye. A secondary dye will usually be a color like grey. A primary dye module will have two different colors. Whether it be light blue on dark blue, or light brown on dark brown. Those are usually cheaper. The big ticket items are the complementary color dyes like black and white or blue and orange. The ticket items are mostly black or white with a different color, it seems to be a trend, at least on my server. TIPS 1) If you are going to buy a dye module, to save money, buy one when you're max level (50 for f2p or 55 for subscribers). By doing this you've almost reached the end of where you're going to get armor, so when you apply the dye, you can keep that cool color you get. 2) Instead of applying 100k+ worth of modules, and putting them on each seperate piece of clothing, you can subscribe or buy the "Unify Colors" ability for about 150k to 300k on GTN (prices may vary). When you buy that, you can apply a dye module to your chest plate and hit "Unify Colors", then your clothing will change colors accordingly. 3) When you buy your first dye module (or any for that matter) on the GTN, I would HIGHLY recommend hitting Ctrl + left click to see what the dye would look like on you. If you bought what you thought what be cool on you, then put it on you, only to find its ugliness, it'd be a waste of credits. When you buy a dye module kit, it's a random mashup of dyes, there is no guarantee, I would just recommend buying one off of the GTN. For TL;DR'ers -TRY NOT TO BUY BEFORE 50 -GET UNIFY COLORS TO SAVE MONEY -HIT CTRL+LEFT CLICK TO TRY BEFORE YOU BUY -GTN > DYE MODULE KIT Thank you and good luck!
