  1. S O LU T I O N to ERROR 308 1) Start patching -> Error 308 -> restart PC 2) Start Patching -> Error 308 -> restart PC and repeat until the game will download and get patched. It worked for several machines already. Be aware, that the game will stop downloading the patch on different %. You need to repeat step 1 and 2 until the patching will finish. It will Instead of restarting PC, you can try to kill the SWTOR task. If you are on Windows 10, please note that SWOTR task is getting duplicated from time to time.
  2. How can I fix it? The patch doesn't even start and I am getting ERROR 310 immediately. I have read ALL threads in here and NOTHING WORKS....
  3. Not really - I have 3 ppl in my guild that are PREFERRED and still selling large number of items (including crates) of the CM.... In fact, I know that one of them recently purchased over 40K (forty thousands cartel money), still being preferred. This is multiple times more than I spend on yearly subscription, if I am not mistaken (too lazy to check real money value for that amount of CM)
  4. Cool project. I have a similar toon in my "collection" but I played it on a basis that no modable item can be equipped... hard play my friend.. hard play...
  5. Again, you are mistaken and you based your analogy on a wrong example - it is based on one-off product sales. We are talking here about on-going service. And for this I will give you an analogy which is better suited: 1) I bought a mobile phone with a prepaid card - paid a month fee so I have my phone and I can make and receive calls, play games, watch movies or whatever rocks my boat (I am a SUBSCRIBER) 2) I stopped buying credits, so I still can receive calls, but I cannot avail of the full range of the befits from point 1. I am still PREFERRED as I had spent some money and now, my mobile provider is hoping, that since I already have seen befits of being a subscriber I may consider to refill my credits and avail of their full services. Therefore, instead of shutting me down they keep my status hoping for more (quite likely) of my money 3) if I had a phone only without a valid card I am F2P - have a some service/product but with no real features on them apart of some apps that works without a valid card. I am enjoying my demo product, but if I want to see if there are any better perks and features for me, I can get a card with a very small amount on it and see if that kind of services suits me.. simple...
  6. First off all I am sorry for my mistake. It wasn't 4.99 but 1.99 2013/03/20 1:19 PM STAR WARS: The Old Republic Digital Upgrade Pack CLOSED - - € 1.99 10******35 Secondly - Hell YES!!... I paid! not much but still I am BETTER than those who are F2P... I have supported the game with my hard-earned money, so yeah - I deserved to be treated a bit better... and this what PREFERRED status is - just a bit better F2P as a recognition of your contribution.
  7. @QuinlanSaathis: I cannot stress enough how wrong you are! Insult, no insult - your position is called '"cow's stance" (no matter how wrong I am, I will NOT change my opinion) Even if you subscribed for a month you are already a better client than those who never spent a cent. And for this, and this only, you deserved a preferred status ( a sort of a recognition if you will) But there is another point you are missing, blinded by "a month sub". People get Preferred Status not only for this but for ANY purchase. I will give you my example (not that this will change your mind, but hell) 1) I started as a F2P - 2 months 2) Then I purchased something for 4.99 and was "promoted" to preferred status - that was 2.5 years ago 3) and then I subscribed for the game and I have been a sub ever since. 4) Currently my wife, my kid and myself all playing SWTOR and we are all subs, and this is only because I was able to DEMO game as F2P, than I could see some benefits coming from being preferred with a promise for a lot more if I sub... PREFERRED status works and works really well... So does F2P as demo which allows for bringing more prospect players (clients).. just stop being a troll with no purpose (not that any troll has any purpose mind you!). Better yet - go to ESO, you can spend there 100€ before you are even allowed to download the game. I am sure, that this will make you as happy as a pig in s..t !!
  8. What DOES NOT WORK?? You keep saying "it doesn't work", but with all due respect I start thinking that the only thing which does not work is that space between your ears....
  9. I am sure it is actually LESS than 0.2% dmg... but this is off topic. I am not disputing that DPS should wear a focus instead of a shield. What I am trying to point out is that perhaps, if shields really work in a dps stance, on some occasions wearing shields brings more benefits to a general effort than wearing focuses... be open-minded
  10. This is completely flawed idea. Every idea must have a stick and a carrot. If one paid anything and then is dumped to the lowest possible tier, he WILL NOT re-sub as there is no incentive - just disrespectful treatment for his or her input into the game. No, he will not re-sub, he will tell you to f... yourself and will leave the game as there is only a stick. However, if he tried a subscription or bought something and then stopped he is moved to preferred status, which is something like saying "thank you for your contribution. We noticed it and that is why you are 'better' than f2p. Thank you and please come back. We appreciate it" <- this is a carrot which may, or may not, make them to re-sub. Constant penalizing leads to nothing.
  11. But the question remains (IN MANY CASES) - is it better to deal 0.2% dmg more or absorb 5% more dmg... sometimes, especially during ops, I wish that many of those immortal jedi knights or warriors had shields equipped rather than focus. Dead knight isn't worth much for the party...
  12. Which modern MMO game gives F2P Players absolutely 100% features, bonuses and such as paying players? Please tell me. I would love to try it now... You either have to buy a subscription (SWTOR), or buy a game (GW2), or some sort of in-game-currency to lift some limits (SkyForge) or even buy a game and then subscribe (Elder Scrolls Online)... Moaning about F2P limitation reminds me of people who bought a car with 1 liter engine with a tiny boot and complaining that it doesn't go fast and they cannot transport their fridge in it... At very least you can play SWTOR absolutely FREE and see if it is worth your money for you. If you want to play, lets say ESO, you must buy full game (60-70€), then 2 DLCs (each 21€) OR subscribe for their PLUS program for 15€ per month (or so)... an then you can find out if the game is for you or not... GL with that!
  13. I have never experienced any issue with installing the game on a fresh platform (and have done it 20 or more times). I am experiencing however ERROR 310 during patching which leaves me with a fresh install option only. - that is why I am so "experienced" with fresh installation In any case, this is not a common behavior which leads me to a similar conclusion that a post directly above mine.
