  1. While some people have put forward some valid arguments for it, I still see little to no actual benefit in a mandatory level sync. It allows high level characters to effectively lose everything that makes them high leveled. As for the role-playing benefits, I personally am a role-player and must say that playing a max leveled character on a lower lvl planet is still enjoyable even if you can one-shot everything in sight. All the sync would do is render the level system that has been the backbone of this game's structure obsolete. This system would remove all incentive for even leveling and make it so that a player would have to be on a max level planet to even play the max level character with the stats that they put in so many hours to obtain. After all, why struggle to level up if you can't even play at that level on most planets? This sync either needs to be OPTIONAL or it needs to be NONEXISTANT.
  2. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is the right call.
  3. For the most part these changes seem good, but I had a few concerns. Will the stat changes mean that I will need to completely regear? Also, with the whole planet level sync, I think this would be great as an OPTIONAL function because it would allow for more adavanced role playing and story depth, but I think that having it as a mandatory setting removes much of the incentive to level a character. After all, if players can't overlevel to speed through certain areas or more effectively play with friends, won't the game's social aspect be taking a huge hit? Overall though, I am quite intrigued to see how the changes play out...
  4. It is fairly likely that there will be a flashpoint, but the fact that Revan is going after both sides seems a little...off. As anyone who ever played this game or KOTOR would know, he is a champion of the order. Even if Revan is forced to work on his own, he is still a jedi master. Also, he is definitely not under the emperor's control. If you remember, the last time the emperor tried to take Revan's mind, Revan broke his and left him fractured and in a weakened state that led to the end of that tale. One way or another, this new update seems to be an unfitting end for Revan although, I am excited to see him again.
  5. The rewards should be as follows. Top: A nexu or acklay mount, title and the below prizes Middle: A really powerful weapon (lightsaber), classic (KOTOR) armor set and title (as well as the below prizes) Bottom: A classic Kotor armor set (preferably Revan's) and a title Honestly, I would most like to see Revan's armor set out there. It would be nice to see a slightly more KOTOR accurate redesign, or simply to see the existing set become more attainable. Thank you for your consideration.
  6. All in all, I do think that it is a matter of preference and playing style. I still must argue that a Sentinel (particularly with the combat tree and ataru form) is at least slightly faster than the guardian. While a sentinel can't take a hit, they undoubtedly have more dps than the guardian. My sentinel is lvl43 and I am flying through my quests with ease and do quite well in pvp. Neither is underpowered or overpowered. For me, the sentinel simply works better though...
  7. I do not appreciate being returned to the beginning of the story area and having to fight my way to Krannus every time I die. I would really like to see this changed. Besides that though, I do love a challenging boss fight.
  8. I went sentinel and am thankful for that every day! My lvl 40 sentinel tears apart even lvl55 players in pvp. If you have any fears that a sentinel can't hold his own, drop them now. Additionally, I never had any issues with armor. Sentinel uses strong, fast attacks. It is harder to play, but much stronger than the guardian. I played some of the sith warrior story and found the knight one much better(to answer your other question). This is all a matter of personal preference though... In the end, it's your call.
  9. I agree, I am a level 34 sentinel, I have armor that gives me nothing, I have been underleveled for at least half of my game, and I am still more than able to defeat anyone that I must fight.
  10. I remember Valis very well, I first faced hm at level 24(I think) and was shocked by how fast he killed me. I read some of the other posts on this page and saw some very interesting suggestions such as leveling myself up to 27 or getting my back to a stack of crates so I couldn't be pushed back, however, I have a different suggestion (valid as the others may have been). Get as close to him as you can running into the fight. Send Kira in slightly ahead of you and then close the battle to melee range and finish him quickly. Valis is most effective at a long range where you cannot hit him. If he charges up for an attack, use force kick or stasis. The Knight (Sentinel especially) is effective at fast, strong attacks. With master strike and saber ward, you should have no problem. I killed him with ease second try, I lost less than half my health and never healed. My companion also survived. No need to stress or overthink this fight so long as you keep your attacks up and use interrupts...
  11. Okay, I beat him at level 16, used the sentinels robe set and kira, no prob, my advice would be if you can't beat him in a straight fight, just send in Kira to take the agro, then follow her with force leap, use master strike, riposte, and slash, if kira dies, use saber ward to take damage. Heal if your health drops low. However, you will not likely need all this, I remember him as being rather easy despite his disruptive attack that he occasionally used. If you still can't beat him after doing all this, call a friend.
  12. I am a huge fan of the original kotor, so selkath and ithorians instantly come to mind. However, I think that the same species as Vandar/Yoda and togrutas would be cool too.
  13. Personally, I much prefer the damage and speed of the sentinel. It is a bit hard to play in spots, but when you get stuns and interrupts, it gets easier. I just completed chapter 1 of my story and wouldn't change my class. And, most importantly, the two lightsabers look pretty awesome.
