Early Level Spec/Rotation Advise Needed
lanphierdroid replied to TiPnDiP's topic in Gunslinger / Sniper
Thank you OP, for asking your questions! I've been looking around in the forums and had the exact same need as you for casual PvE leveling advice. This thread should be stickied, IMHO. -

Any guilds recruiting I need a guild
lanphierdroid replied to battlefieldgreat's topic in General Discussion
What server are you on? What kind of guild experience are you interested in? If you are on The Shadowlands and want a mature, casual guild that does some raiding, I can help you out. The best place to find a guild is the recruitment section under the server forum for your server. Good luck. -
So, the Taun Taun quest is PvP?

I have to agree with the OP! This is my first MMO, started as preferred (bought the digital exp pack) and within a month subbed for 6 months ( best value lol). Though to be honest, one of the main draws was medical probes!! Yes, I die a bit, though maybe less frequently now ! I have become an alt-oholic and currently have 4, one from each starting planet, with plans to do all 8 stories eventually. I have been absolutely giddy when I make/see connections between stories. I started with the idea to solo this (I really wanted KOTOR3) but by the end of 3 or 4 months had found a guild! I've done a few FPs with them and really have been having fun! I don't use group finder because I don't want to have to deal with jerks, who don't want to help a newbie. I read these forums quite a bit and have gradually been adding/learning different pieces of the game. Even though the learning curve to someone new to MMOs is HUGE, the game mostly gives so many different ways to go about playing that you can pick and choose what you think might work for you. My main is a Jedi Sage, Doshiani, (Shadowlands) who just got to 50 the other day! I don't PvP, or do Heroic 4s, but did do a couple or Heroic 2s, found some datacrons, did all side quests, and only did gathering or mission skills to start. Now that I'm a bit more comfortable:rolleyes: I'm starting to think about possibly crafting. Oh, I and love to sell mats on the GTN. I've just started going through some of the lower level FPs that are grayed out, so I can sort of enjoy a "God mode" for awhile. It's just really nice how different people can choose different ways to play! Oh and I also learned to take a lot of the negative stuff on these forums, with a bit of salt . However, I must say that there are some amazingly unselfish people on here who help out newbies like myself. Before I joined a guild, this was the main place I got information! The New Player forum is outstanding, and even many of the threads in General and other places have value. I want to thank those of you who take the time to seriously and sincerely answer newbie questions, you are very much appreciated!! I didn't mean for this to get so long, but the OPs feelings really resonated with me, and I've enjoyed the recent increase in positive threads here in the forums! Thanks! P.S. really looking forward to tomorrow's patch!

My sniper can only shoot about 30 meters or so. He's a SNIPER for crying out loud, he should be able to shoot from further away than that! Lol

Check out The Womp Rats! It sounds like we could be a good fit. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=566564 Good luck finding the right fit for you!

Pardon my ignorance, I'm a relatively new player, but how do you change instances? I've only ever done it when prompted in order to join a group of guildies. Thanks. Btw, I have no interest in PvPing but don't think it should be removed. I have some guildies who do it occasionally. However, I would love to have a complete toggle off switch that could not be changed, unless I go into an actual PvP area. You should have seen how fast I backed up when I discovered the Outlaw's Den! I had no idea what was going on, but big red flashing text seemed like something to avoid!! After that I read up on it so I would know what was going on. That should be the only way to get flagged IMHO. Just a newbie perspective.

Need some help please finding a good start
lanphierdroid replied to InfernalBird's topic in New Player Help
Thanks for all the great resources!! I haven't run across the guild quiz or the noxxic website before, and both look to be very useful. Thanks again. -
My husband was on the beta for MH. He quit after about 20 minutes - why? Because it took about that long to wonder why it seemed so familiar...it is almost an exact clone of the Xbox 360 Ultimate Allience!! The only things that were changed were to add a few more characters to play, the online MMO idea ( UA can coop play up to 4 people on the same console) and store to spend money. Very disappointed we were. Stayed with SWTOR we did.
