  1. All of you, thanks for sharing. I agree with most of you on some level. The cloud car would be a little pointless on certain levels and undermine the work other players have done. Perhaps just in new areas or not at all. The points about killing wow, I do admit I don't want anything to actually kill wow. I just wanted a catchy title to get people (hopefully the developers) to read it. I do see the point about balanced dps, and I agree tanks and healers don't need more dps. That is what I meant by accounting for armor. Tanks get hit for half. They can have as much as half dps and it still be even. Healers that are heal spec don't need more dps, however, I respectfully disagree with the point of non-heal spec characters such as Scrapper Scoundrel not needing more dps. If you have not played one you might not know, but one on one they have a disadvantage. Sure their splash dmg is great but then their dps drops to terrible. If they crit on 2 of their splash dmg they have taken half of your dps, sadly after that it might take them 20 more sec to dps you down. More than enough time for you to kill them with half health and no heals. If a non-heal spec is healing themselves in combat, it serves no real purpose. Your dps is more than their heal. They are just building upper hand so they can hit you again. If you have a shield and are any other type of character, and know what you are doing, you can turn around and beat the holy heck out of them. With half health and no heals, every character can beat a scrapper one on one all day long. If you can't, you should practice more. This is not balanced and is only one of many examples that I could make. You are technically right though, the balance should be based on other issues such as armor and heals and, therefor, the word balanced is out of place, however, it should certainly be closer. Just because a scrapper has stealth does not mean that he is the only character that can catch someone by surprise. If you get the drop on someone and they pop a shield, the only thing left to do is get them half way restealth (IF YOU CAN) and try to splash them again. there are all kinds of skills characters have to prevent this. The truth stands, DPS needs to be revisited.
  2. There are a few things that most would like to see in this game. If all of these things appeared in the next expansion, I am pretty sure that it would flat out kill wow. This is my list, but if you can think of something good please post it. 1) Fix the lag issues. Even if it meant cutting back a little bit in other areas, lag spikes suck plain and simple. If you could greatly increase the bandwidth, that would be money well spent in terms of returns. Most people I know that stopped playing, stated that they did so due to lag and that if those issues were fixed that they would return. Nothing is more frustration than dying due to lag over and over and over...you get it. 2) Flying mounts. A cloud car on every world would be cool. This would also be profitable. It is an easy thing to sell on the cartel market. 3) Walker mounts in certain areas. Yes, I realize that this is not Gundum Wing, it's Star Wars, but perhaps walkers in certain War Zones and Ops would be fun. This would be in my opinion very fun. One group and their walker versus another group and their walker. Sounds fun to me! 4) 3D space. I am not a fan of the space battles. I actually hate them. I never play them because, well, they suck. But if there was 3D space to explore in every section of the galaxy I would. Pirate missions where you board other ships and raid them. For Bounty Hunters, that would be pretty cool! A space battle that could start out with guns and then move to hand to hand in a boarding party...EPIC! Adding capital ships to battles would be even more epic! 5) Customizable starships. Space is not a complete vacuum and there are gases of different parts of space. NONE of the starships are aerodynamic and most are just plain ugly. If I could pick which ship I had after 55 and customize it to make it look like I want it to, I would love that. Again this is a marketable plan, save the coolest looking guns for the cartel market. You could even sell the coolest looking ships on the cartel market. 6) Make every character more balanced. To reinforce this you could add a dps meter to the game. Making every character able to do the same dps makes the game fair and even. Of course accounting for armor, if you have less armor, you should be able to do slightly more dps, but not A LOT. 7) A big expansion. If one through six are in place, a big expansion would seal the deal! Like a 15 level expansion with 30 levels worth of story. Rise of the Hutt cartel was really short. I did it in one day. But 10 or 15 levels and A LOT of new material, heck, I would pay 59.99 dollars for all of that all day long!!!
  3. Right now the Smuggler Scoundrel is broken for DPS. The heals spec is finally where it should be, but the scrapper spec is VERY unbalanced versus, well, everyone. One-on-one, if you get the drop on someone, they can get out and turn around to simply out DPS you. THE DPS NEEDS TO BE EVEN ON ALL CHARACTERS. Even with all the stuns, a scoundrel, using the old stun lock strategy, can lock up someone for 7 sec tops and STILL not have them bellow half. With ALL the best gear, it is a little better, but not even. If someone can get smashed for 7 sec and turn around and annihilate you with half health and no heals (this does happen if you don't reenter stealth) that is by definition UNBALANCED. Not only that, but for pve, Scoundrels need a sustainable dps. They do all their splash dmg and then their dps drops by less than half. LESS THAN HALF! I am sure that those of you who hate steathies will disagree, but the truth stands. Some possible fixes that are VERY simple. (So there is no reason but laziness to ignore it.) 1) Make Upper Hand only increase crit or damage on a timer. Take the skill requirement of Upper Hand away. Make all Skills that used to require Upper Hand no longer require it. This way a Scoundrel can spam sucker punch or wounded blast. This WILL roughly make dps even based on armor rating and overall damage. 2) Don't like that one? Here is an even more simple one. Make Upper Hand allowed to have like 5 or 6 stacks instead of 2. 3) Not doing it for you? Simply make Upper Hand proc more! 4) Still say fixing it is too hard? Fine, add 1 or 2 dots to the spec. These can be a simple add in of skills using existing animations. 5) There is no excuse beyond this besides laziness, but I will go there one more time. SIMPLEST ANSWER OF ALL. Add crit and surge to Smuggler buff so that with little help at 55 a smuggler can have total 40% CRIT and 100% Surge.
