I have never complained before on the forums, but I really do feel like this recent change where Psychic Absorption/Devour prevents Restoration/Purge from cleansing DoT abilities is quite unfair.
First of all, sages have to depend on healing power to stay alive in warzones. We don't have the mobility of scoundrels or the heavy armor of commandos. Also, our main healing abilities take a while to cast and we have to stay stationary. To stay alive, we have to keep healing ourselves and others, and run when we absolutely have to.
However, here is the problem. We already have an issue because DoT tends to exceed the output of HoT anyway. Therefore, when DoT attacks placed on ourselves or the tank it's really important for the sage to cleanse them.
Finally, if we now try to run, a sorcerer or assassin can hit us with DoT and we'll probably die, especially because we have to now stop to heal ourselves.
Getting rid of this seriously hurts our healing ability and unfairly punishes sage healers.
