Hmm... i can get speeder piloting at level 30.. on a level and half away.. i'll have to try that. thx for the response. I guess i didn't think that armor rating had anything to do with getting knocked off.. though it was all about the speeder quality..

Oh and the mobs i'm fighting are level 25.. so three levels below me and two below my armorings..

So.. i posted a couple days ago that i was having problems with my Sage getting knocked off my mounts way to easy and someone told me that it was probably because my mods and aromorings were under-leveled, which made sense to me.. Now i'm on tattoine.. I'm level 28 and have a full set of level 27 mods and armorings on my Sage yet I am STILL getting knocked off my mount WAY too easy. I have a scoundrel at about the same level and do not experience the same thing at all, As long as its not a mod with a silver in it i can typically plow right through the mod without getting knocked off my vehicle. same is true for my level 55 shadow and level 53 guardian.. i can plow through mobs of enemies and only get knock off my mount a small percentage of the time.. however like i was saying, on my sage I ALWAYS get knocked off (unless i get lucky and outrun melee enemies) .. is this because of my class? my endurance rating being so low because i'm a sage? I am at a loss. By the way, the two mounts I have unlocked through collections that i tested this out with before posting here is my Imperial throne, Jedi meditation chair and a aratech nethian (sp) Just trying to understand why i keep getting knocked off on my sage but not any other class i play.. it is very irritating..

Well now i feel like a freaking noob. I just face palmed myself. Yeah i am level 20 and all my mods are level 9.. I've been holding off cause as a sage i've felt pretty bullet proof and i wanted to wait till level 21 to upgrade them to save some commendations and thats the first time you get the resolve mods from commendation vendors. really really explains a lot. Thanks for the help man. I can deal with getting knocked off for one more level

Okay, I'm getting frustrated.. I've leveled a few characters to 55 and quickly realized nice mounts are a must if you don't want to get knocked off everytime you agro a camp.. So I unlocked the overlord's throne though collection cause i love that mount. Now i'm leveling my third serious alt (a jedi sage) but i'm getting knocked off my mount EVERY SINGE TIME i agro a mob. my guardian and shadow (both tank specced) can just PLOW through mobs on my nice mounts even at low levels.. but now i can't with my sage. until now i thought getting knocked off mounts was determined by the level and quality of mount but now it starting to feel like its based on endurance/shield ratings or something.. can someone explain why?I don't want to stop and fight EVERY SINGLE mob i drive past..

So.. are you saying that i should just wait til next week and use my current PvE gear till i can get the new intro set? you guys really are confusing me.. lol i appreciate the help though.

that's what I needed lol numbers to aim for. I can actually craft most of that. So.. item rating less than 460 and no mods over 168. got it. Thank you all for your help. Only question that still hasn't been answered is should I PvP in tank gear or DPS with my Shadow?

ok... little confused.. you guys are saying to get low level regular gear and it will get bolstered to playable stats? stack comms then buy an actual pvp armor set? seems simple enough.. my only question though.. if I can do that why can't i just jump in with my current gear?? why does low level gear work but high end gear not?

Ok.. so if not with comms where do i get that "intro" pvp set? i have plenty of credits if the answer is the gtn. and should i go dps or tank for my PvP gear? Also i never meant to down on PvPers or to complain. just looking for a solution to my problems. its my fault i can't keep up with these guys.

Yeah I knew PvP gear made a big difference but i didn't think it was THAT big.. Most of the classes that have been giving me grief are agents (that stealth and backstab man..) and sorc's.. which is to be expected since they can heal and i'm a tank, i.e. not super damage heavy. but i love playing the shadow as a tank. I might have to look into getting some PvP gear... havent really been doing WZ's cause.. I'm a noob to pvp and i don't want to piss off my team running around like "wait the ball goes where??" lol Plus I've always been the MMO type that more enjoys raiding and trading.. Ok guys, if i'm gonna start playing PvP what do i need to aim for gear wise and what pvp should i play?? and is there any basic gear i should get just to start me out? rather than queing for a pvp match in PvE gear? To elaborate, I'm on Prophecy of the Five and love my server. It is however a PvP server and i chose that intentionally even though i'm more of a PvE player. Recently i've seen a lot more Imps running around and ganking people that are trying to do their dailies.. or Imps doing their dailies that just want to throw some PvP into the mix. Again, perfectly fine, after all this is a PvP server. My Issue arises in the fact that it took a group of three of us to kill one imp the other day that was giving us some grief and I NEVER win these confrontations. I want to know why? is it because i'm doing dailies in PvE gear? should i start doing warzones to get the comms for PvP gear to wear during dailies? I'm playing a shadow tank in full 69 PvE gear. I know there's better gear out there and i'm working towards it but I'm getting spanked as if i'm 5 levels below these guys.. dead before i've hit even a quarter of their health.. any advice is welcome. thx guys

Actually I have the Logitech G600 which has 12 thumb buttons with two functions each so using a button on my mouse is definitely viable.. I was just hopping not to have to change my old habits.. it's just so easy to Palm the control button and still be able to execute my abilities in combat and such. But thanks for the tip. If all else fails I'll do this.

See that's not my problem, control works in game it just prevents other input. I tried running as admin but it didn't change anything

I'll have to give that a try..I don't use control for that. Are there any other keys that are defaulted to control + something? I am curious if unbinding them would fix this issue or not. And yeah I know I could change to a different key binding but I'm really used to using ctrl.. I've been using ptt programs like vent and teamspeak for years. Just a habit that would be hard to change.

So my guild uses teamspeak to communicate in game, great program but im having an issue with it, i have control set as my PTT button, and it itself works fine. BUT while im holding control the game won't receive any other input, i.e. casting abilities, movement... etc.. anyone got an idea on how to fix this?
