  1. Title, not much more to add. Introduce matchmaker based on character winrate and separate groups from solo players. Right now GSF is nearly unplayable as a solo player and thanks to numerous flaws, non-existent balance and general obscurity of this mode finding a group to play is comparable in difficulty to finding team ranked group in PvP.
  2. Title, it works properly only on humanoid enemies, others like animals or specific droids (4-legged, etc.) get old Blaster Whip animation.
  3. Hey there, Minor, yet irritating thing - Legacy of Combat skills (Punch, etc.) are all dealing Tech damage, while they should deal Melee (because, you know, they are melee). Also, Elite Regulator Faceguard is missing it's voice modulation and laser sights lose their distinctive buzzing sound when you move your character around. Small things so shouldn't be difficult to fix. Regards
  4. It would be also nice. Using these skills with weapon equipped and being able to put them in rotation would be even better.
  5. RP and player - made events. You know, it's nothing important but also nothing too complicated to implement so why not?
  6. Hey there, I have suggestion regarding Legacy of Combat skills - they are all Tech, favouring Tech - based classes while in brawl. Could you change these abilities to Melee?: - Punch, - Jab, - Uppercut, - Bash, I know it's nothing important but I suppose it's also not complicated to do and it would simply be nice quality of life change for us, players. Cheers!
  7. I've been playing because of friends, unfortunately most of them left the game already so I don't have any impulse to queue in GSF. "Kessler's number two" would be the worst commendation when I was playing last time. I hope he changed his attitude, but from what I heard yesterday, he's still... himself.
  8. And I have noticed, along with many people from my squadron. Ocula and Skybolt are considerably harder to hit than Flashfire or Sting. The only legitimate ways to take them down are either hitting someone near them with AoE Ion, or BLC point-blank or any type of missile/mine. Both Tier 2 Scout and Carel Market Scouts should be the same except visual differences - in fact, they aren't. There were at least two threads asking about issue with hitting them, same thing on "bug report" forums, so it's not only my and my friends imagination. From my experience if developers here didn't say "Yes." straightforward, they aren't happy. Especially when they are "watching carefully". They "watched carefully" knockdown on Operative's and Scoundre's openers. Maybe, maybe not. The fact is, both LLC and RLC leaves you small time window for reaction. BLC not. If they land two hits - you are dead. That's the issue with them. As for such powerful weapon they have amazing RoF, so there is no time for reaction. Even if you miss, you can shot again in 0,5 second. Even rail gun gives you opportunity to escape, because they can shoot once every two seconds (and full charge takes around 5 seconds), and their main weakness is LoS, because of range. In close combat, there is no LoS issue unless you let your enemy run to the object and fly around him - but damn, in Tier 2 Scout there aren't any ships which can escape you except Tier 1 Scout - which is dead after one hit, so it's highly unlikely that he will even have a chance to run. o7 Lindemann
  9. Calm down, nobody asked you about your opinion about my opinion. No. Devs said they are observing BLC's efficiency for now. There is nothing about "balance being where it is wanted". Show me where bad gunship touched you. 4k, sweetheart. Just like Light Laser Cannon and Rapid Laser Cannon and both of them aren't even 50% effective as Bursts. Because it is MUCH easier. Bursts have no tracking penalty, wherever you land a shot in the circle - you will hit. Other, BALANCED laser cannons works differently. Because scouts are majority of the GSF "community" and it is law of the life - more challengers, more terribads amongst them. As I see I've just tried to discuss with BLC QQboy flying bugged Cartel Market scout (Ocula and it's pathetic 1 pixel hitbox). I'll just jump over other posts like that. o7 Lindemann
  10. BLC are clearly OP and even scout pilots approve - actually the only thing to discuss is how to balance them? First of all they should repair that retarded bug which makes half of the BLC shots invisible, then... Hmmm... Maybe RoF nerf? BLC must hit like a truck in point blank - that's the idea of such Benelli-like weapons, so their damage is IMHO OK, but RoF could be toned down like 2x slower. Now they are spammable. With such alpha - they shouldn't be spam guns. Every single shot aimed at ship should be accurate, not "full retard mode, let's aim our guns to the west and see what we hit". o7 Lindemann
  11. Hmmm, actually I'm experiencing same things as OP. Especially about Cartel Market Scout. I'm playing Gunship, so I can tell you if something is considerably harder to hit and Ocula/republic counterpart is one of "those" ships. If I engage player using Flashfire, he's hard to hit (evasion works perfectly against GS) but thanks to my experience and skill, I can hit him if I aim properly. But let him switch to Ocula. No way I land a hit. Examples of such players from Progenitor are Sorowulen and Rosy. On Flashfires I can take them down, on Oculas - not really. Maybe with Burst Cannons in close combat. Railgun? Less than 10% chance to hit. And they're using same build on both ships, so it's not the case of components. o7 Lindemann
  12. Forget about Progenitor. Since our premade took a break (we are Imp side), win ratio is 20%:80% in favour of Reps. They are just overhelming (as I mentioned in "Aces?" thread).
  13. ^All "Impossible because I can't imagine that/I can't find any tactic myself so I will lolz on forum" posts. Sorry, no. And I won't argue with anyone about that. It is enough for us that thanks to our cooperation this way we are winning 8/10 matches (up from 2/10 when I was facing Republic premades alone, and up from 6/10 when we were trying simple "go A,B and leave C"). So, you know, provoking me with such posts to say anything is simply pointless. Find your own tactics. I've specified all "Aces" from Progenitor in my opinion, so any further offtopic discussion with me here comes to an end. We'll meet in the sky. o7 Lindemann
  14. When you say you miss "refuge point" it looks like you were one of those blasphemous wannabe-Gunships constantly running to capital ships when in danger. Sorry, I'm playing Gunship too and I've never did such thing. Good, that they get rid of death field around capitals and finally eels like you will never ever try to do such thing.
  15. ^This about situation on Progenitor and why we are mad because of Donnie's/Razorwire's behaviour. About our own tactics - if we would tell you, they would be compromised and useless, right? It's not "A, B, leave C" or "tunnel him/her". If these are your major tactics - oh well.
  16. No. It's "he's selling our very own tactics to the opposite team and exploiting it to win." If he would stay shut, there wouldn't be any problem. Acting as "mate" and then hunting down only ex-groupmates with different people is just wrong.
  17. Someone asked - I answered. Looks like it wasn't neccessary because this guy didn't even read it. (as you can see in his response). That is "the" problem - he's got opinion of "good" player and every time I engage him on opposite side he's in premade. And EVERY time he's countering our tactics which he could read/listen/observe while playing with us in one group. I wouldn't mind if he would do it by himself, but always someone else is doing it with him. I could do the same, just log my Rep alt, group with their "Aces" (and thanks to my results on that alt it wouldn't be a problem), play few games and then come back to Imps and tell everything I saw. But I won't. I preffer fair play, unlike majority of the players. You should learn to read, sir. I won't write same sentences twice. If you didn't understand - oh well. I think I can live with that.
  18. @UP I wouldn't care about it (since I'm playing both sides, but Republic rarely), but when you see such behaviour you don't want to be in one group with such person. Ignore option isn't working for GSF so even if you don't want to, you will be grouped with "traitor". Imperial GSF players on Progenitor are few, and when I say few I mean less than 15 regular players. Republic side is outnumbering us terribly in every aspect, overall amount of players, warzone joiners, GSF joiners, even guilds and premades. Thanks to that, we are creating small groups dedicated only to certain things. We have solid PvP community and we are trying to create our own GSF community. When Razorwire is queuing with us, and then "he needs" to go and we see his Republic alt Donnie opposing us and exploiting our tactics together with his own premade - it's not really good for our morale. I hope I explained it decently?
  19. Zackary - maaaybe. But Kam'ma? Sorry, no. She's 100% dependant on her premade. Without them she's worse than casual beginner. I know it because I'm often queuing solo on my alt and when I meet her without solid backup of 3 guys (including 1 Gunship and 2 Flashfires) she's constantly smashing her face into the rocks or debris. Even in protecting nodes in her beloved Bomber she's failing terribly. So I wouldn't put Kam'ma anywhere amongst Aces. Amongst ragers - for sure. She was harassing few our players and threatening them like "all our Aces will focus you, @#$%!". Sorry, no respect for a person which switches between alts of both factions just to insult someone who owned her. About Yuxunamei as I mentioned earlier I can't say anything. And you said, that we are mostly "targets" for you. If you're not one of these people: - Moganas, - Klea, - Ihra, - Cody, - Lee, then it appears that you're one of the fleas which parasites on their skill. They are good and it's a pleasure to fight against them. PS. Razorwire is hated amongst Imperial GSF players for his traitorous and deceptive nature - every time he queues with us he leaves after 2-3 battles, next battle he appears as "Donnie" on Republic side with his premade and thanks to things he observed and read, he's exploiting tactics to win. It will be better for him to stay on Rep side, we won't tolerate such behaviour in our ranks.
  20. @UP Then you indeed must feel irritated when being shot down by Sting/Flashfire with double-volleyed - 1,5 second lock-on - no cooldown Cluster Missiles and 100% armor piercing - overloading - 50% < critical chancing - one-shot-killing Burst Cannons. Kiling anything with one shot in Gunship is possible when enemy is stripped out of shields - and to do this you need to hit him with Ion Railgun which is far more difficult to use than Slug or Plasma (there is no tracking, you need to pinpoint him directly). Then you can shoot and instakill enemy... At least if it's NovaDive/Blackbolt or stock Strike Fighter. Otherwise you won't do this. With Sting/Flashfire you can devastate with 2 shots virtually every ship except bomber, where you need outstanding 3 shots. Sorry, about being overpowered pilots of Stings/Flashfires can tell more. And don't tell me about "limitations" like 4000m range (because ships are flying with death field around them reaching 4001m), lock-on time (when there is virtually no lock-on time with Cluster Missiles), need of control (seriously, just don't use Barrel Roll in front of a rock and you will be fine) or dynamic battle (sorry, dynamic battle not exist here, ships are clumsy and thanks to incredibly vast area only full retarded pilot can constantly crash into things). Similar limitations exist with Gunships - you need to stay in one place because you can't attack on move = easy prey for everyone except Gunship on other side ot the map. You need to keep maximum distance because your main weapon is useless when enemy is closer than 4600m. You are pretty much dead when anything circles you - your turning rate is slower even than Bomber. In close combat you are dead, except incident when stock Blackbolt is trying to approach you directly. You are the main target of the enemy thanks to opinions like yours, where most players think that slowpoking through open space near enemy spawn is pretty damn good idea and when they get shot from nowhere they won't accelerate and start searching for attacker - they will afterburn into the rock or boost away and start storytelling about how bad Gunship touched them.
  21. Never met anyone named Yxunamun and I'm playing every day. P.S. Thanks, it appears we are the only Imperial squadron on Progenitor. Still win ratio when asking people is Empire 3:7 Republic. And as far as I read forums, other servers appears to be similar, with Empire losing more than winning. Interesting coincidence. I'm playing on both sides and Republic seems to be significantly easier to win, and when I say significantly I compare my 58% win ratio with Empire and 73% with Republic. Oblivion. On Empire side I'm playing with premade, on Republic side alone - something is really wrong with balance here. P.P.S. Ever tried to shot down experienced player with Gunship? It's as hard as doing it in any other ship. Same thing with terribads - they are easy prey while playing Gunship, Scout or any other ship. Just because playstyle is static sometimes (to be honest most of the time you're escaping from hostile Scouts or dogfighting them when they approach directly) it doesn't mean it's easier. I'm playing Rycer, Sting and Mangler and the easiest ship to control is obviously Sting. It's dumb-resistant and outperforms all types of Strike Fighters by parsecs. The most difficult is Rycer - this ship really needs skill to be deadly (and I'm decent with him, but far from Sting's performance when I'm playing and most of the matches I have to self destruct to refuel Cluster Missiles).
  22. Moganas is good, but not that good. We can dispatch him without bigger problems unless he's got Damage Overload. And in fact we, Imps, are outnumbered on Progenitor and considerably weaker than Pubs. Still, we're fighting with pride. o7 Lindemann http://i60.tinypic.com/18hcno.jpg
  23. Feldgrau (Field Gray in english). Sniper in Imperial uniform from Progenitor. Add Mauser-like Primordial Sniper Rifle - full "Third Empire" set
  24. You are just a band of whiners, really. You must play constantly against ultraskilled robots which can exploit your imagined weaknesses,.The truth is - Powertech is NOT underperforming after 2.0. It all happens only in your heads or you just have a problem with fact, that you can't Run And Cook without consequences anymore. I know that it's painful that Smashers form OP became ultraOP but don't act like selfish douchebags - the more whine you produce, the less players will play Powertech and you will be rewarded with another "nerf". You think that newbies don't read forums? Wrong. I want to create Powertech and I read a lot of topics here. All of them fullfilled with whine, cry, stomping and rage against everything. You think that I'm alone? Not really. Newbies like me will refuse to play Powertech because of your terrible opinions. You will become closed community like Operatives and Mercenaries and when your theoretical performance reach "interesting" level, BioWare will nerf you to hell. Why? Because you kept on whining about minor things and pushed back Powertech newbies from playing this class. Talk about advantages - tell everyone why this class is GOOD. You will know the difference when bads like me will start playing it and act like monkeys. Smashers are great example - amongst ocean of bads there are brillants but because scale is 1:100, Smashers are constantly buffed. Think about it.
  25. There aren't any problems with questions on my server - even when I asked quite silly question as for 50 lvl like "is elemental really undefendable?" over 10 ppl gave me an answer without rude spoilings or other stuff. Community on SWTOR is one of the most cultural, kind and helpful communities. You think i'm wrong? Ha! Check World of Tanks for example. Troll riding a Troll which swings another Troll like a morgenstern. And about BioWare itself... truth is, that they have annoying tendency to leave players with their problems and suggestions without response. But on the other hand, they are doing everything to give identical comfort of playing for everyone. Bolster is the first step - I had nice PVP gear but my friends don't. They were facerolled by oldfags which just smashed them with few attacks. In fact, how could they learn to play when they were instadead? Some kind of sick circle - you want to learn - you can't because of prollings - you act like a newbie without skill - you can't progress - you leave warzone - overgeared keep on fighting against themselves. Now warzones need skill, primarily skill. You can't just leap into the crowd and cast Smash because any other player focused on you will give you noticable pain in arse with his lightsaber or flamethrower or blaster. For me it's very good - this way we can clarify REAL PVP talents - not just only guys which have too much time to spend in game and keep on "farming" eq with leap-smash-scream-obliterate-ravage-back-leap-smash-scream-obliterate-ravage.
