  1. Name: Vanir Tevel Allignment: Republic Race: Miraluka Occupation: Jedi Sage Gender: Male Age: 46 (Based on current year being 10 ATC/3,643 BBY) Physical Description: Vanir is of average size and build for a Miraluka male. Pale skin and golden hair, the only distinction from a human is his ritual headband. His only unique aspect is his youthful appearance. Background: Vanir was taken by the Jedi Order as an infant and remembers nothing of Alpheridies or the Miraluka people. While most children are fascinated by the force, Vanir was more so being one of the few Miraluka of his age. At the age of eight, most students yearn to wield their own lightsaber, but Vanir disregarded this tool and focused on the force. This was partially because his martial skill was very poor and barely met his masters' minimum requirements. While he might have been able to improve with greater instruction, the Great Galactic War broke out. Vanir devoted his studies to learning the secrets of the force instead of the art of lightsaber combat, which many padawans had chosen to assist in the war. During his teen years, to assist his fellow jedi, Vanir learned the art of lightsaber crafting. During his trips with the Order's archaeologists, he found and refined crystals and relics for use by the Order. Thanks to one of his master's influences, he learned to appreciate the tool as a focus for the force, instead of merely a weapon. After the Treaty of Coruscant, Vanir was recalled to Tython and assisted with the construction of the new Jedi Temple. He was granted the title of Master and assigned to traveling the planet and exploring the ruins. After four years he found an ancient holocron on the far side of the planet that contained the coordinates that lay within Empire control. Granted a ship and leave, Vanir was tasked with scouting the location to judge its importance. He encountered the ruins of a small enclave, which was being excavated by a Sith Sorcerer. Vanir attempted to turn the Sith to the light but failed and conflict ensued. After returning to Tython, he devoted his life to the healing arts of the force. He was given permanent control of the ship and granted full permission to travel the galaxy to "find himself". The Jedi Council denied any further expeditions to the ruins.
