I didn't realize the laws in Canada oversaw what a business did in Texas.
It can when what you do in Texas affects people in Canada. And vice-versa. Happens all the time.
International Shoe applies internationally as well.
Seriously, people with no knowledge of how law works need to stop post their assumptions about it to the forums.

Yea, while I agree completely that the changes they made would surely violate some consumer laws in certain areas... what they did was completely legal, because they did it in the US...
No, they did it everywhere Eric Musco's posts went. If you stand in upstate New York and fire a gun into Canada, you will be called on to answer for your act in Canada, under Canadian law.

I doubt they want to do anything about them anymore... EVER. My wild guess is that they will ignore each and every post like this, all in hope that it will "wear off" and everyone will forget about it.
Nah, I'm not likely to forget the final straw that broke my wife's and my SWTOR subscriptions.

That's more a European thing than an American one. Here, unless an attorney is an MD or PhD, they just go by "Esq." Other attorneys would mock them if they went by Doctor just because they had a J.D.Also, the person graduating last in his class in law school can also be called "Doctor". -

Pretty shure the ToS which we all sign when we want to play this game states they have every right to change something as they see fit.
Did you read that statute? It's about marketing, not the authority of BioWare over the game.

To be fair, when a game is released so bad they literally have to go back and completely redesign it, it tends to make some ill will in the community.
At least they went back and redesigned it. What does BioWare do with terrible content they release for SWTOR? Not care, that's what.

Well, you do get to ride chocobos in FFXIV, and so on. The lore is not a broad and deep as Star Wars, but it's there.

Well, then you're not very smart. But there's been research on why people enjoy real slot machines. Casinos make far too much money off of them to not understand why people do it. Virtual slots is little different, psychologically.

Either way, it's way better exploring an entirely new game than it is running around Yavin IV or rolling your 14th alt.
There is just little to no reason to continue to subscribe to SWTOR any longer, at least for me.
Give the FFXIV free trial a try. It's free.
I tried it, subscribed, and am doing that. All I plan to do in SWTOR is raid twice a week with my group. -

I'll be letting up in 6 more days myself, if not sooner.
It looks like another game is going to command my attention. Final Fantasy may not have lore with the depth and breadth of SWTOR, but it does have lore. And it's fun. -
Serious, honest question - What is "Ravagers"? I don't want to know what the exploit is/was, but I would like to know what "Ravagers" is/are.
