  1. what he said. shooting while stunlocked = profit dps without energy usage = profit burst if used at once, tactical usefulness if shooted one by one for interrupts etc = profit AP spec with increased dmg and 7 rockets instead of 4 or Shield spec with increased threat and healing = a cherry on the top i would only LOVE to see one change - make shoulder cannon usable WHILE channeling flame thrower. Please.
  2. stupid bug, happened a few times already - i usually just log back, do something different for 15-20 minutes and que for another wz and the problem is gone. still its not that bad - the worst kind is when you have a great wz match, lots of medals and the nice feeling of fullfilling your role in the match that the game decides you should stay inside and never leave it seriously breaks my heart everytime when i have to exit this dreamland and leave all my valor, medals and commodations behind with forced relog... sigh...
  3. i kinda disagree with few choices of yours - is the 2% dmg reduction worth losing the dps? i really doubt it will save you, and the 3% dmg to bleeding targets (so basically almost all your opponents) + 15% dmg to gut's bleed should be at least noticable battlefield training does not stack with hold the line speed increase, and you need that speed only in certain situations (dont get me wrong - its usefull of course, but not needed) id put that 4 points into Gut's improvement skills
  4. High energy gas cylinder of course, as it enables the auto-crit on RS and helps managing heat.
  5. whine, whine, whine... BOOOOOORIIIIINGGGG (inquisitor players will know ) i do understand that many of you feel underpowered, but seriously - give the game some time - go lvl 55, gear up, adapt to the new possibilities, try finding some new ways to improve your gameplay, experiment a little. atm bolster works strangely, noone is geared and many players try to use old tricks instead of finding a solution to the problem - all those things change the gameplay and make it impossible to check the actual status of the class and of course there is another way - roll a sniper guys or join the 60% of the population (personal observation of the WZ squads) as a sorc , im quite sure noone will cry if the powertech population is reduced
  6. i tried AP spec for both leveling up to 55 (still only 53 tho) and pvp and i can say i like it, enjoy it and i feel its perfectly viable. that said i did not try any HM fps, as i do them only as a tank the thing im surprised most about in here is all people say about rotations with immo/RS/RB/PFT etc etc, and the thing i found brilliant is the 7rockets burst from my shoulder cannon - its GREAT - and still nobody talks about it here. the only thing i find frustrating is that i cant shoot my shoulder cannon WHILE channeling prototype flame thrower - that would be the real deal note to devs : !! PLEASE MAKE SHOULDER CANNON USABLE WHILE CHANNELING FLAME THROWER !!
  7. +1, watching that little damned buff bar for procs is hurting my eyes its definitely the best damage per energy skill, and probably best dps skill in the tank tree - how could you say "no" to that? - its fast, it hurts, makes excellent aoe threat. tldr; its a yay
  8. I dont believe it! Small, almost unnoticable - but here it is. A voice of reason in a neverending whine/troll VG/PT thread(s). Some people told me it might happen, yet i wasnt really convinced until now. Thank you alot kind sir, you did brighten my day!
  9. in fact the changes to energy blast is one of the better ones vanguard/pt tanks got - when u use energy blast the 25% absorbtion is MASSIVE, and while it is working the shield stacks from proccing power screen still stack. try it for yourself - i see my PT covered in nice looking fiery shield like half of the time when im tanking and the buff to survivability is great i'll repeat it - PT/VANGUARD TANKS ARE IN A REALLY GOOD SHAPE, time will tell if other tanks are better, but there is no reason to say we are bad, instead of crying most ppl should go tank some more and learn how to use our new tools

PT's are in far better place than they used to be, i survive much more, all of my defensive CD now make a difference - and tbh i think we can say PT's now have 4 defensive CD - shield, kolto overload, heat blast and oil slick. have yet to try the shoulder cannon heal, but i need to wait for 14th for that - wondering if any1 can tell us how good it is Nice addition is also the slow spamming - flame sweep spam + oil slick = win, especially in voidstar corridors.

Both fit the story, you just need to ask yourself a question: do i prefer to be a pyromaniac and burn everything in sight? or do i prefer to blow everything up with my rockets and shoot ppl with my ****** shiny dual blasters? my powertech really felt great during the lvling and im thinking of making a mercenary just becouse i loved the storyline so much and want to try other choices
  12. Had a few occasions to test the new Kolto Overload yesterday and it works like that: to use it you need to be below 30%. IF the heal gets you above 30% the healing reduces alot and still heals you (probably for those 2% per seconds, but numbers appear in a row for like 10 times per second). To give you some numbers when i used it below 30% it was spamming heals worth of 220hp (more or less), when it went above 30% it was spamming heals worth of 90hp (more or less) with the same speed tho. I admit i like those changes alot and KO helped me in some harsh situations, definitely a great change. Wasnt paying alot of attention to the mechanics, so i hope i havent overlooked something. Hello, Im Quirez and its my first post on the forum i did 4 HM fps runs yesterday, and about 10 wz as a powertech tank (fps in almost full tionese, tho upgraded to 4 BH pieces that dropped there, and wz in that gear as well as it is better than expertise gear atm) and i absolutely LOVE the changes. New heat blast works great, oil slick really makes a difference, dps is increased by almost spamming flamethrower, holding aggro is a piece of cake, even if dps's outgear you (just guard those sents and you're good) and survavibility is awesome - i even asked my healers about the changes to tanks and they all said they prefer healing the powertech not jugg/sin). I really DONT feel underpowered. PVP was also improved alot for me as a tank, may also be bcuz of ppl still using their WH/EWH gear, but i was really hard to kill, and my protection was always above 150k (450k max) (dunno if its a great number, still i was always the best in protection). That being said im new to endgame - my powertech is lvl 50 for about a week now and its my first lvl 50 so far (i also have lvl 45 jedi knight and tried him yday, but i reaaally prefer my BH. Im not into dpsing much so the dps changes do not hit me at all, but the tank changes were a step in a good direction.
