  1. Well, the title says it all. I have a PvE heal merc, mostly geared; a Sith ***. PvP geared, and a few other toons getting to 65 soon I really, really want to be in a mature guild, with decent people who are aware they're playing a freaking cooperative game. There used to be nice people and family-like guilds where everyone knew we are all here to spend some quality time. If, by any chance there still are guilds like that, please, I wish to be part of one The reason I'm posting this thread is the drama-loving children that are growing in numbers as it seems. Tonight, I joined an OPS party to do some OPS. In a boss fight, one healer(this guy had invited me)started to give tactics but DPS -as usual- didn't listen, and we almost wiped. Then another crackhead(this guy was the OPS leader) stopped playing at all, blaming the healer for the deaths. This went on for sometime, mind you, it was not the healer's fault and all of a sudden the leader kicked the healer. Meanwhile everybody else was tryin to calm the situation. Then the one who invited me started talkin BS about me because I was still in the party and that I betrayed him?!?? I left the party saying it was wrong to kick someone like that. In the end, somehow, I ended up being ignored by these two, one suggesting that I betrayed him and didn't want to do another OPS with him, the other blaming for me leaving the party. They didn't forget to insult before they did as well. I honestly hate to have written that, feels like I'm nothing more than a drama queen either. But I've been gaming for more than 20 years, spent a lot of it playing online games. I'm now a 30 yr old teacher and just trying to relax a bit by gaming. I believe I've seen enough of that childish drama sh*t and I merely want to enjoy a freaking game with people I can actually call friends (or people, at least ) So, if there's an active, and a truly friendly guild out there recruiting I would love to be in it. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post
  2. Well, I'm no expert but I've been playing PC games for about 20 years now, and I've tried out many MMOs, including some major franchises. I did not put much time or effort in playing SWTOR, though every now and then I find myself resubbing and playing it again. I do love many things about the game but most of my friends either don't play MMOs much, or are fanboys of some other generic game. As I work -like the majority of MMO players nowadays- I cannot spend the time I could 5 - 10 years ago in a game, which makes it pretty difficult to find players to group up with or raid together regularly. So, I find things like raid finder quite useful. I love the stories of the game, FPs, solo contents, new heroic grouping things, and the PvP. But my favorite MMO had always been another game, as it provided a lot of content, both for soloing and grouping. The deal here is that many players somehow end up playing the game alone or pugging to achieve something in the game. It's not a game's fault, it's just the way life is. But I think adding different kinds of content for people to solo especially is always a big plus. Like zone events, minor and major. It would also add a more interactive feeling to the game imo. (Rep. bases getting attacked by Imp. forces in a planet, some super mad species trying to seize a territory, etc...) Of course everyone wants more raiding content and it definitely is a good idea for marketing purposes But along with expanding the possibilities of the content there is, it would be amazing if you added some `different` kind of content as well.
  3. Lol, thanks for the info mate! Didn't realize it was for first timers.
  4. I remember seeing a promotion saying that we would get a month's sub for free if we subbed before what, the 6th of January? I can't seem to find anything about it, nor do I have an email regarding the promotion or added game time. Any ideas?
  5. I'm a returning player. I really love the game, and I played the game every now and then. I must also add I'm very happy with the current state of the game and the improvements/changes made. But there is one thing that must be looked into; the LAUNCHER. It's well-known the launcher has many problems. I haven't had any serious problems, or could deal with them swiftly. But not everyone has the same patience when it comes to trying out a new game. We all know first impressions matter, and regarding marketing concerns, first impressions are vital... I have some friends who want to try the game out, and they'll most probably sub after playing it a little while. However, after they download the game they say the launcher gets stuck, that it crashes, it starts reinstalling and so forth. It's terrible business, it is extremely frustrating and it is simply a shame Bioware cannot or does not take care of it. Even I feel defeated when someone rage quits before even starting to play the game.
