  1. if you have a somewhat recent nvidia GPU, theres shadowplay. It allows you to record in fullscreen or desktop mode, has an option to record live gameplay or from past 1-20mins incase something interesting has happened and you want it recorded. I believe it compresses the footage with h.264 codec, which offers nice quality / space ratio. I get 1-2fps loss while having shadowplay on record mode. Fraps affects performance a lot and you end up with huge chunks of raw footage you then have to compress, which may take quite a while.
  2. Getting 60-70fps with UI on at rep fleet center, around 100 without. Still getting major drops when loading players, just driving circle in the centre. GTX 780 Lightning 3gb i5 2500k at 4.3ghz 8gb DDR3 RAM
  3. I think they're tauntable even with shields on. What bothers me is that I cant always see the red marks (as a tank) as the room light reflects so hard back from the floor at certain points. Haven't bothered to tune down graphics.
  4. You can run away far enough for the adds to not AoE at all, then wait for shields to go down and run back up, kill adds and continue on boss. Repeat until it goes down. Clear the trashes near the boss' platform so it's easier to jump down and run away. If the whole party wont move at same speed when running away, the add AoE's will propably eat someone alive. Healer has to be ready to take loads of damage when you run back up. The fight is trivial this way, though it shouldn't be too hard the proper way either.
  5. On my first run today I tanked it with no problems and the pug one-shot it, the second pug I did wiped +7 times on it due to low dps / lack of healing. We were shadow tank, shadow dps, sentinel and scoundrel healer, I guess melee dps is extremely bad for this as you have to avoid the beam, kill adds and run away from the boss.
  6. it's far from impossible even while bugged. In my experience as a healer most people fail to avoid the basic stuff, which is the AoEs and just rage quit instead of focusing more.
  7. does the timer start immediately after the cutscene? I think so but dont know for sure.

  10. Well the main problem is that the boss doesn't channel the choke, he goes for melee hits when everyone is CC'd. If the choke alone does 50k damage to everyone during berserk, it's pretty hard to survive it. I'm not sure the boss even has an aggro table, or it resets during choke. I only tried it with a pug and everyone ate all the damage they could possibly take, but I hope there's more to the fight than just luck of not getting knocked while channeling AoE heal.
  11. Is there an enrage timer on it? At some point the choke starts to tick for 10k instead of the 5k it usually does, either after X time or certain percentage of health. Thanks for replying.
  12. What are the tactics for it? I tried it a few times as a healer in pug - no one really knew what to do. We managed to get it to 20% on first try, but afterwards it became worse and worse. We wiped multiple times on the boss hitting us with melee while we were being choked to death and unable to do anything. I noticed we can free ourselves from the choke but we still take the damage. Line of sight appears to have no effect on his spells. Sometimes the choke did around 25k overall damage, sometimes over 35k. The frequent chokes + knockback when you try to channel a heal makes it pretty tedious. How to do it properly?

I had no problems with silver mobs while leveling 7 characters to 55 and updating my gear every 10 levels, I've made a lvl 28 operative post 3.0 which seems to take a lot more damage from silver mobs than my lesser geared mirror when I leveled it with 12x. I'm not dying on them but they certainly either do more damage or I just take more damage. And I'm talking about instant damage, not interruptable abilities.
  14. C2-N2 has a blaster pistol on his waist in cutscenes, though he never uses it.
  15. I managed to switch ctrl and alt but I couldn't alt tab properly anymore, what ever I did it then counted as alt + ctrl tab. In-game it didnt do anything, but alt remapped to ctrl + tab did still work. LCtrl::AltTab or Ctrl::AltTab would break the ctrl - alt switch too. SetTitleMatchMode, 2 #IfWinActive Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Thread, interrupt, 0 ; Thread, Priority, 2147483647 Ctrl::Alt Alt::Ctrl ; Ill try with right alt as it counts as ctrl + alt but I think it is still a whole own modifier.
  16. Ty alot, though I'm using an apple keyboard so alt is in a pretty bad place for me. I'm a little familiar with AHK, is it possible to make a script that while in-game swaps places of control and alt? Or would I have to swap it with keytweak or something outside the game.
  17. I know this, but I use ctrl as a modifier for other keybinds. In combat I like to use my camera (right click) to strafe and rotate my character, but when I use a bind with ctrl modifier it blocks me from rotating with right mouse button. It's a huge problem for me.
  18. Sorry for necroing this, but I recently started playing and faced this problem too - didn't find much info on it. Is there yet a way to rotate my character with right mouse button while holding ctrl?
