    Dear BioWare,

Good point... Maybe I should've disguised it by posting it in the PVE forums just to trick some poor dev into reading it

    Dear BioWare,

I recently interviewed 12 team ranked players for a my series of articles "Team Ranked in SWTOR: Player Perspective and Insights". In these interviews I asked what these players would like to see done to improve the state of team ranked. Now I know you don’t care since the ranked PvP population is very small. But if you, at some point, realise that you not caring and the lack of interest in team ranked are connected and that it is a vicious circle you might want to do something about... Well then here you go! “Fix the damn cleanse for the healer for the love of God” More viable classes/specs Quicker changes to class imbalances Reintroducing other healers than sages to team ranked and changing the acid mechanic to support that. Cross server (RIP) 8v8 ranked (RIP) Open the PTS so that teams can play against other teams on different servers Increase incentive to play team ranked through better reward systems and by introducing better rating systems similar to leagues. Shorter season so that people won't take a break after one month when they have reached the rating they want. Let players be reconnected if they DC in team ranked. And last but not least - Increase the overall population interested in team ranked by fixing the above mentioned issues.
  3. Tomorrow the 14th of November ominous will be hosting a community 1v1 tournament for the TRE PvP guilds. Invitations has been sent to the GMs of the guilds on the sever that actively participate in PvP. They have all been given one or two spots (depending on size of the guild etc). The GMs have then gotten to choose the player/players they want to represent their guild in the tournament. Format will be knockout for the first round and best out of 3 for the 2nd round. Best of 5 for the finals. From 19:00 CET we will start streaming the event on Jaqn's twitch with our hosts Jaq'n and Bodo commentating. There will be separate stealth and nonstealth brackets, 8 players in each. The two brackets remain entirely separate and will never meet, so there will be 2 winners. The winners will be announced under the Fight Club tab on the ominous enjin website. Currently there is 28 000 000 credits in the prize pool. After the event is over we will be mixing up teams for kickballs which anyone is welcome to join in for, just /w me or Jaq'n on the night and we will get you into a group. is a link to watch the highlights from our last Fight Club event, a 2v2 tournament on Tatooine. Let me clarify straight away that you can't sign up for this event. This thread is made to give information to those interested in watching the event, not participate in it. See you all tomorrow!
  4. New blog post "SWTOR PvP: What to expect from 4.0" This blog post will briefly discuss the current state of PvP in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as delve a bit deeper into the expectations the players have for the future. PvP in SWTOR has been struggling for a long period of time and I have watched the playerbase grow increasingly frustrated. Considering the amount of time this has been going on I was curious to know how much faith there is still left in the community for an improvement, especially with the upcoming expansion and its promise of an influx of players. In order learn more about this I’ve interviewed four players (Igor, Zherio, Snave and Mosh) and asked them about their thoughts and feelings about the current state of the game as well as their expectations for the future... 6. Relativity new blog by me and fellow gamers/guest writers. Last week we did our first theme week which was focused around SWTOR PvP previous of patch 2.0. Some should be some interesting reads there for PvPers. In general I often like to write making connections between gaming and how it ties back to psychology. Will bump the thread up whenever there's something new out. In the latest blog post I interview Dakaru, GM for old Nostrum Dolus and leader of the ND team on the topic of in-game leadership. I also make comparisons with ND and RC who's GM I interviewed last week. Follow this link to check it out! Here are some of our other topics, have a look if you are interested! 8v8 Ranked on TRE Part 1 - Why our server was better than yours Guest post by MYLEX Gaming and self-esteem - Interview with Barmy Looking closer at the connection between MMO gamers and self-esteem through interview with researcher. 7. Big thank you to all the guilds participating last time around. I was happy to see so many teams in queue. Here we go again. On Saturday the 16th of May at 8 pm BST I'd like to encourage all of the PvPers out there to make a team and queue for ranked. If enough teams are in the mix it shouldn't matter if your team doesn't have a lot of experience. There'll be other teams just like yours. The whole night can be watched on the ominous stream from a scoundrel healer point of view. Stream: http://www.twitch.tv/ominouswtor - Scoundrel Healer This is a summarised version of the original post which can be found here: http://redeclipse.eu/redeclipse.eu/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1967&p=37980#p37980 Follow the link above to sign up for the event or just show up on the day! All levels of skill or experience are encouraged to participate. If you can all help me spread the word and advertise this event within your guilds I'd be very grateful, thank you!
  8. We'll use the same channel for communication as last time just to make things easier so don't forget to /cjoin TRsat14 sorcs
  9. Less than a week left! Get your teams ready!
  10. That's great, signed you guys up. Cya there!
  11. That's great. What I would suggest is that you write in the forum thread here and advertise yourself as a healer looking for a team. Remember to mention if you are looking for a rep or imp team. If you don't have a team by the day of the event (but hopefully you have enough time to pick up some fellow pvpers to join you) then what you can do is to join the TRsat14 channel (type in game: /cjoin TRsat14) and advertise that you are looking for a team as well as whisper me (CatKyle) in game and ask if I know any teams looking for a healer. Good luck, I hope you can join!
  12. Big thank you to Big in Japan, Dxun, The Edge, Technicians, Darklight, Damaru, Axari and to my ominous guildies as well as all the other mixed guild teams for joining this event last time around. I was very happy to see so many teams in queue and to see that the interest in ranked on this server actually exists. So here we go again. On Saturday the 11th of April at 6 pm GMT I'd like to encourage all of the pvpers out there to make a team and queue for ranked. If enough teams are in the mix it shouldn't matter if your team doesn't have a lot of experience. There'll be other teams just like yours. So don't be shy! The whole night can be watched on the ominous stream from a scoundrel healer point of view. I'd like to encourage anyone else joining the event to also stream it. If you let me know I'll add your name to the list below so that viewers can go between streams and watch the event from different point of views. Stream: http://www.twitch.tv/ominouswtor - Scoundrel Healer This is a summarised version of the original post which can be found here: http://redeclipse.eu/redeclipse.eu/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1914 If you can all help me spread the word and advertise this event within your guilds I'd be very grateful, thank you!
  13. Hiya, do you guys have any pvp going on? Been looking for a guild for a while now and have considered you a few times for my 55 shadow Hollyaxu's. As I wanted to find a guild with a lot of pvp I decided to go for another guild which I soon realised was very hard core and not very social. Although I like the game and play a lot I do it to have fun, not to listen to rants about how stupid pug teams are. So I just quit my old guild and now I am looking once again How does it look on the pvp side of things in your guild? Do you have it some nights a week or not really at all?
  14. Hi, I am looking for a new guild for my lvl 55 shadow tank Hollyaxus since I am looking for a guild that has at least a few active pvp players. My current guild only does pve. Could AT be something for me? Thx!
