Do they use the test server for testing patches. Or they just "make one" and slap it in to see if it works or not. PS: how did that 2 day early access work for you guys?

Even so. if it affects the game play to a extent that it gave issue to the patch. would it not mean a patch to our clients would be necessary? I mean if it took this long to locate and fix it would seem like a double edge sword where it needs to be fixed on both sides. If it was purely server side as a game host my self I can openly say to locate and fix a problem would not take this long if it was one way issue.

If the patch was broken... And you don't need to re-download the patch. Does that mean A: it was never broken to began with. B: you will have to download a new patch to fix the previous one but because its fixing the first one its not considered re-downloading?

Most good MMO companies develop a update / patch then fully test it them selves on a mirrored test server before applying it to the main servers to insure that the update / patch will successfully work. Not during the actual updating / patching process. To rush the content with out properly testing leads to these kinda issues. And that is not coming from just person who plays them but a person who runs them as well.

The Commendation Hilts and Barrels require Artifact authorization for green hilts and barrels. Is this a bug or should I just quit because I can no longer buy gear because vendors are gone and the GTN prices are way too high. And Modding my weapons is not possible with the Artifact restrictions on non artifact gear.

actually it is a free ride because its a free to play game with optional payment. Quite frankly I wont doubt very soon they are going to make it where you cant obtain anything unless its a cartel perches. Because taking away something like NPC vendors is a step towards this not being SWTOR but SWFashionista where if you want anything other then the level 8 armor you have to pay cartel points to get it.

But all I see are hates and flames just because some one does not pay a subscription any time they try and speak up for them self. back when I was FTP and preferred I relayed on the Commendation gear merchants and the standard gear merchants for gear till I was around level 50. When I was able to stop and gain a flow of income. Even then I still relayed on them allot for cosmetic looks because if I want to get something cool off the market i have to pay 100-300k which was most if not all my credits at the time. when i could just go to a basic gear or a commendation gear merchant and buy some good looking to decent times for repetitively cheap to almost nothing. But the way it is. Subs will get 5 new things. A preferred and FTP will have something taken away. I know if I say its not fair to them people will just ***** and whine and say they should subscribe. But the point is. Its not about getting something new. its about keeping what little they have.

Crafting reverts back to the restrictions of your pay status. So if you sub a month you dont keep the 3 skills. soon as you attempt to collect or use you will be asked to select 2 out of your 3. and that third one will be locked and unusable. 2/3 items a week. Please. Thats a joke right. with the higher leveling speed you are going to need 3-4 items a hour not a week. Crafting takes alot of time and money as a FTP / Preferred. And with their credit caps it means they wont be able to sustain them self as they level. because building that crafting rank will drain them. Ever think a person might not like the look of the level 8 sets? And hell prices are already jumping up on the GTN now. The old vendors gave a way for preferred to be able to level for a cheap price. They don't get access to any top of the line gear as is. So yeah lets make it 100 times harder for them to find a reason to enjoy the game. So what if the companions have 3 rolls. You can define how they act in the roles. The skills that made each companion unique are no longer there. So all the companions are exactly the same except for conversations. I feel that its too damn bland. I rather have the choice of do I want my character to be a AOE spammer or a Single Target DOT'er. Over "Generic 100%" you treat free to play and preferred like they are vermin. you piss and **** all over them when they are just every day people like any subscriber. Yeah so what they cant dish out money every damn month. Dose not mean they don't have the right to enjoy the game on fair terms. Subs get allot of bonuses and access to things. So we have no right to complain that a FTP or preferred should want some basic items back. I feel bad for them because they are being penalized on top of the restrictions. What if they are willing but just don't have the money. like my self I am about to loose my sub simply because my hospital bills are going to make it hard for me to have a luxury item such as a so called simple 15 usd a month. 1.) All gear vendors from 1-64 have been removed. 2.) Heroic rewards have been changed to a lock box type that a FTP and preferred can not open with out authorizations 3.) The EXP has been modified to the point that its just a easy grind with only story content to 50. (I can get to 50 twice in a single day with out breaking a sweat) with 3 being said. Only Subscriber gets a fair amount of commendations to mod gear with. Preferred slightly less. And FTP lower then that. 4) Crafting changes have been some what jumbled to a extent has been jumbled. Free to play get 1 crafting slot. Preferred 2. Sub 3. So you can see how frustrating its going to be fore a Free to play and Preferred to reasonably rank a craft to make the gear that was once sold for commendations. Not to mention the credit cap that Free to play and Preferred have to deal with. 5) Unique aspects of each companion was removed as well as their have been changes to their weapon types. 6.) Skills have been made harder to obtain by moving most of the skills up in rank with only a small few moved down. 7.) Due to restrictions allot of gear will be unavailable to Free to play and preferred due to the commendation gear removal such as the level 50 Basic gear which did not require authorizations. you can get it from makeb but unfortunately getting it that way you will deal with authorization restriction. That's just a tiny bit of changes that could massively affect FTP and preferred but.... Subs wont care because they have "sorta" new content to play with for level 60-65. 8.) oh... did I mention hard modes have been moved up from 50-55 to 60-65... yes old hard modes to fill in a gap of lack of "New" hard modes. This practically means if you buy hutt cartel to get to 55 (5 usd) You cant use the makeb gear. and the 50-55 HM's are no longer available for you. Just solo and story I do believe. which is a completely different experience. Again this is just small things to "Most" subs who do not care about anything under level 60-65 or the players who are still around the 50-55 level caps simply because they cant afford a subscription.

Sorry to say. We gave out free cheese burgers in San Francisco last year at a Mc Donalds. Customers paying with cash did not ***** or complain when they ordered their combo meals because the person in front of them got a free cheese burger. Fact of the matter is I saw paying customers allow a few free to eat people before them, So yeah. In the end every one gets something. Cheese burger might be small but its still something. We did not jack the cheese off the burger last minute and hand it over to a paying customer. gave every one their burger equally.

Next stop all merchants in the game that are not tied to expansions directly will be removed from game. Why. Because we don't want anyone except the hutt cartel also known as subscribers playing the game. What a stupid community we have as a whole. Free to play and preferred do have something to offer. Free to play become preferred who spend a few dollars here and there when they can. They suffer because they cant make a monthly payment. So when every thing is removed for just expansion users only because of your mind set. You are going to ***** and complain when you payed all that money and the servers go down because there are just no longer enough players to support a reason to keep the game going. It has happened to meany of MMO's in the past. It will happen if this keeps going. So get off your *********** high horses and think of what it means to be a community of players. Not Sub and not subbed. A sub player should have the perks they get. A free player should at least retain the core game and its core features. A preferred should something a little in between. Why? Because a free to play did not offer anything to the community other then their presence. Why should a preferred get a little more then the core game. Simple they have offered to the pool with their donations to keep things going. Subs yeah they should get allot more because they give out allot more then the other two. But removing the core features of the game just because some one is not a sub is wrong. its like going to a public pool and being told hey you cant use the pool because you are not a member of the exclusive Hot Tub club. When the game shuts down because people stop playing in droves because its no longer fun or everything has turned cartel market only. Just don't lump me up with the subs who voted for it because they don't like preferred or free to play people in the public pool as they sit around in their own hot tubs.
