  1. I just couldn't find the will to play today after all that happened. The story was painfully short that calling it an expansion is an insult. The UI is ugly to look and I normally don't care about that kind of thing. The combat styles while a nice touch came with the price of losing key abilities for no good reason. People say it was because of ability bloat, but as someone who played every class consistently, I never saw it as a problem. At most Bioware could have given us more upgraded versions of our pre-existing skills so that we don't actually get more skills to put on our hot bar. They literally took skills that we already had from us only to ransom them back. Having to choose for example on a Jedi Sentinel between a defense skill, a stun and a mobility skill was insane. And the fact that you had to wait for certain skills like Force Stasis until somewhere in the 60's when it used to be obtained around level 26, why would you do that? What benefit to the player was there? Shadow/Assassin had one of their opening abilities taken from them and turned into a perk of another skill. Warrior/Guardians in general had much of their defensives skills taken from them. Smugglers/Agents were missing their quick stuns and once again early skills were now near end game. With the cinematic, I won't lie, I deluded myself into believing this "expansion" would be as long as Shadow of Revan or hell at least Makeb. But nope instead we got something that is barely 2 hours and has much of the skill system screwed up. For the first time since I was unsure if I wanted to commit to this game, I am considering heavily on leaving. I saw no reason to, even when other mmos were doing bigger and better things. I will keep my eye open for changes for the better, but right now the future is grim.
  2. I don't much mind some characters being brought back from the dead so long as it is done right. Malgus and Revan (to some extent) come to mind within the story. I want Valkorian to stay dead since we pretty much had 25 chapters leading up to his death. I sighed and dropped my head down when I thought he was coming back through Onslaught, hopefully that isn't the case. With any long running series you have to make a choice to either: Continue the story themes and conflicts or to try something new and hope it is well received. It seems like KotFE and KotET are a mixed bag with most reception leaning towards negative opinions. So with that Bioware may have thought that trying something completely different wasn't a good idea and will just stick with the whole Empire vs Republic. Personally I would like something a little different brought in every now and then just to spice it up, but keep it still close to the Empire vs Republic story. If they could I would like to see expansions having these "different takes" that Onslaught did but taken to another level.
  3. Curious to know if anyone still offers for runs and if so how much these days? Also with 6.0 out now did it become a legacy item or not?
  4. But twi leks have their leku and still wear helmets. Not asking for custom mask, just allow them to have it on same as the twi leks rather than being like the torgurta.
  5. I actually like the nautolans, I think they look cool and love the "difference" they bring to the game. But unlike twi'leks they can't wear mask. Why did you do this? The very thing that prevents me from playing a torgurta and you apply it to the nautolans. Please change this so that I can debate on whether I spend cc to change race or make a whole new toon.
  6. I spend a lot of time on Dulfy and I'm wondering if the armors that have recently been shown coming in 5.0 are going to be available tomorrow or on Dec 2nd? The titles of each page say "Upcoming Items from Patch 5.0", but no specificity if they are coming immediately or later down the line.
  7. Empire is my favorite over the Republic but with all the talk about going bring back that Kotor feeling I couldn't help but think back to some of my playthroughs in that game. I realized that not once in have Empire characters ever truly been able to become a villan. Yeah we get to terrorize the Republic a little here and there but nothing that truly made it seem like my character was evil. If anything I just felt like my toons were simply doing bad things in a time of war and even then it seem like it was normal to do to so. I hope with Knights of the Eternal Throne we can have the option to become the villan. I want to have choices or hell even just a single choice that can make all but my closest companions betray me and me dead. I want both Republic and Empire, or just one side to seek my demise. I don't want to become ridiculous like Valkorian/Vitiate, but the option would be nice.
  8. While eating I decided to watch the little movie clips to have something playing while I eat and I noticed something about lower robes. In game almost all lower robes seem to follow the same rule of looking like the bottom of a dress or something. But in the cinematic Vindican (Malgus' master in the cinematic) clearly has a slit that make the robe not so restricted and open. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/villainstournament/images/7/73/Darth_Vindican.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20151225133701 Another example is Starkiller's Stalker Armor from Force Unleashed. It too isn't what swtor seems to think lower robes are. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/31/GalenStalkerArmor.jpg Make lower robes like this to make more variety to the outfits.
  9. I get that people want something new to do, I get bored with doing the same things over and over again. But I also like this event and understand that yes it is for new players or those that like to make new toons all the time. Does it suck that only toons created on June 28 can participate: Yes. I enjoy this game and support it even with it's flaws but I have fun. A new operation or new pvp content would have been better but this is what we got. Given EA's track record it could have been so much worse. Though what do I know, people will complain and complain no matter what is given to them.
  10. All seven of my toons are connected in some way to each other. Starting with my Jedi Knight and Warrior being brothers in all but blood, but they were separated after my warrior was captured and taken to the Korriban to be tortured for information. He spent years believing the Jedi and his brother would rescue him but help never came. He took his grief and feeling of betrayal and used them to attempt to escape only for the Sith to see potential in him. Now he is one of the most powerful Sith alive and while he does every he can to help the Empire, he longs for the day when he and the Knight cross paths. My Chiss Agent Mesmitos was found by my Warrior on Hoth during a raid on a republic base which happened to interfere with a Chiss operation. Curiousity took over the Warrior and he called off his forces to see if the young Chiss could still manage to not only survive but accomplish his mission. Following the success of the mission the Agent was given new orders to report to Imperial Intelligence and that he would serve an example that aliens have a place in the Empire. However ultimately after losing his identity, being controlled by the Republic and the Star Cabal, my Agent broke ties with the Sith and lives as a ghost in the Empire. Black Tiger Bounty Hunters are a family of Cathar people that live by a strict code when dealing with all manners of life. Never betray a client. Don't play with your prey. Extend one hand of friendship, but keep the other ready on the trigger of your gun. Above all else should the code fail you, follow your instincts. The youngest son of the Black Tigers Arron has no desire for simple pay and the thrill of hunting his prey, he wishes to explore the galaxy and make his mark in history. Having gone through the Great Hunt, being on the Republic's most wanted list and even joining forces with the Dark Council he feel content to have brought honor to his family. But disaster struck when the eldest Ryukou decided to join the Republic and become a common soldier. Honor bound Arron set off to find his brother and kill him lest he continue to bring shame to the Black Tiger name. Winefield doesn't want much: A fortune so big he could retire for several lifetimes. A big ship full of his favorite drinks. A pretty girl at side. A real nice set of blasters like his father once had. He's got all of it and yet he continues to work. Perhaps that is why he feels guilty now, while moving some "new" weapons to the Republic special forces he met a Cathar mercenary who told him he had business on Coruscant with family. The guy had the right papers and even holo ID of who he was looking for. He never imaged that helping this person would have lead to Havoc's Squads leader being killed by a bounty hunter. With guilt in his heart and determination in his eyes Winefield has resolved to ruin any of the this bounty hunters plans. And if the Republic happens to follow him to make an arrest, so what it's not like he called them. Lenion and Pharous have gone through much as Jedi, with Lenion having fought the Emperor and Pharous fighting the First Son. Both are tired and weary despite their young age. Lenion still wonders what became of his childhood Chiss friend who was captured by Imperials so long ago. With the war going on he hopes to find some answers and maybe even find an inner peace that he has long sought. Pharous on the other hand settled down with his former apprentice Nadia and the two have had child together. A powerful force user who unlike his parents appears to be human, but the force is so strong that his eyes make unforgettable. One day their ship was attacked by Imperial and their son was taken from them. Pharous has since then put back on his old Jedi robes and lightsaber to seek out their son. But feeling him in the force has made him worry, for where there was once light is now a void of darkness that consumes all. The Emperor's Wrath had been given information of something in the force that the Emperor had taken a personal interest in. Wrath sent Mesmitos to recover what it was the Emperor wanted. A child no old than five with glowing white eyes was aboard the ship, Cipher Nine quickly subdued the boy and took the boy back to Korriban where a group of pureblood sith took him to the Emperor on Yavin 4. Stripped of his name and memories the Emperor sent the boy to be a slave within the Empire and sealed of his force connection. Years later when working on Dromund Kaas a Sith Lord drunk on his power thought it fun to kill the slaves for sport only for Khaous unlock his force powers again and use lightning to kill him instead. Unknowningly Khaous began down a path of the sith set before him by the Emperor. Through the trials and even nearly being killed by his quest for power Khaous became Darth Nox.
  11. I've talked it over with my guild and they are willing to help me get it, but the problem is we don't have enough people online at time to do Dreadtooth at 10 stacks which requires 24 people. Plus at this point I don't care if we finish TFB Hardmode or S&V 16 Nightmare I just want the mask. So how much would I have to pay to have a run through to get the mask?
  12. I know he is the former Sith Emperor who wanted to consume all life to fuel his immortality but I can't but feel like there is something we are missing. Especially during the dream sequence in chapter 2, if you pick a specific option that goes, "You claim freedom, yet you choose to visit me. Why?". Valkorion answers, "You are a part of me I wish to keep." Hopefully there is more elaboration on this statement, because it implies that somehow your character is directly connected to Valkorion. More than just an interest he has taken with you. Kind of track but I played through the inquisitor recently and chose the "Get out of my head option.", Valkorion talked about how our meeting was long over due and he meant to arrange it. Gave me a very bad feeling.
  13. The guild that I have joined is getting ready to start doing HM and NIM Ops and some of us including myself are excited because that means we finally get a shot at some of the exclusive gear that is dropped in NiM. But we have come across a rock in the road with the Dread Master Helmet as stated in the title. When looking around for how to obtain one of us found that we have to do all this stuff with Dreadtooth and then TFB secret boss just to fight the Hateful Entity. But then we also found people stating that it isn't required anymore and that we can just summon the boss in NiM S&V anyway. Since we found different guides stating different things we just need to know if yes we do need to bother with Dreadtooth and TFB or if we don't need to.
  14. I am decked out in some 220/224/216 gear at the moment. And i understand most of the fights in each op, I am currently reading and watching vids to learn hm and nim. Guess my only problem now is a guild , I have been in a bad ene before and I had to leave another due to life. Wish there was some kind of way to just "test" play with some people from one would make our lives so much easier.
  15. I thank you all for your input. Ran EV and KP HM yesterday and I have to say they weren't much harder than sm. I feel kind of greedy in that I want to play more than just those two and it seems as though that is all anyone wants to play.
