  1. Thank you for your replies. I'm giving up now & cancel my sub. I just dont get it staring at the CRU for hours & reading forum threads but i just dont get it. Wont let me add 5120*2160 and what not. 99.981Hz, 543.5 MHz, plus/minus polarities and other schnickerdoodle stuff i dont understand. So frustrating what people need todo to play a game. CRU: https://pasteboard.co/JSAl6Or.png Glad for you guys, that you were able to fix your problem. Wish you a nice day. Byebye
  2. Thank you very much for your replies. I seem to understand the problem a little bit better now. (Must be something with the highest available resolution, which in my case case has a 16:9 format) So i tried the step, where i create a custom resolution. (DSR | CRU) Just anything higher then the current maximum resolution in a 21:9 format. The nvidia control panels offers some kind of "pre setting", which allows you to set a higher resolution based on a factor of the native resolution (like 1.25, 1.5, 1.78- and so on). But since its based on the "native resolution" , it is creating only 16:9 formats. (I tried all possible choices) (The highest standard resolution i can choose is 3840x2160 which appears to be my "native", which is complete balderdash since it is a 21:9 3440x1440 display. Also in another setting it tells me that my native resolution is 3440x1440.) So i tried to create my own custom resolution, not based on any factor, in another setting of the nvidia control panel. --> 5120x2160 @144Hz But when i try to apply this setting, the control panel tells me, that this resolution is not supported by my display. The only possible way now seems to be deleting the 3840x2160 resolution from the system anyhow, but i really dont want to dig around and juggle with any hex codes and what not. (Its not that i am too lazy. Its just that i really tried alot and failed to understand the matter completely) Is there any way by not changing any hex codes? Am i on the right path in your opinion? Is there any way around this?
  3. Hi @all, im experiencing trouble using my new MSI Optix MPG341CQR Display (21:9 - 3440x1440). While the interface is scaled correct (circles are circles and no ovals), the graphics are strechted (round objects are now ovals, my characters appear to be fatter than before, just everything except the interface is strechted). Just to have it said, other games are getting scaled correct. I made sure that my graphic card drivers are up to date (NVIDIA 1060 6GB) and the drivers for my display are installed (via Device Manager). EDIT: I am using a display port cable for the connection from my display to my graphics card. The highest resolution i am able to set in swtor graphic menu is 3840x2160. (Ofcourse i choosed 3440x1440) I found this setting in the client_settings.ini and did set it to the actual resolution i want to use ... Height = 1440 NativeHeight = 1440 NativeWidth = 3440 Width = 3440 ... Also i made sure that swtor is not changing it back by keeping track of the file content. The settings stay even after multiple client restarts (file permissions are NOT read only). While browsing the internet for multiple hours and days, i found various information about EDID data, but since i seem not to be able to understand all of that (juggle with hex codes and what not), i just made sure that my display is set specifically to 21:9 instead of "auto". Now please, i dont know what todo anymore to fix this. Its really frustrating and i can not seem to find an end or solution to this. I would be very thankfull if anyone could help me solving this. Kind Regards
