  1. Fury Mara Reg 8v8 6441-dps 5.5 million total http://i.imgur.com/re5zW4J.png
  2. Well a good merc DPS can do it. Hoppin had 2 over 6k on the first page post. Both ranged but melee dps can probably do it. Best I have so far on Fury is 5.5k in 208 gear: Fury Mara 5.573k Arena: http://imgur.com/n4nhTKx
  3. 70's pop regularly with generally less wait time. They also continue after 11pm.
  4. This thread was primarily about regs where they can be beat and I have had the fortune to end up on teams good enough to beat them many times. Ranked is a different story. With granked you need to build a team that is good enough to beat them. Change classes and people or work on player skills. If your talking solos there simply need to be more players on the republic side when they start queueing. See them queueing jump to your pub and start getting in on their matches.
  5. I have enjoyed many matches against RBL and I think they should keep going as usual. It is almost refreshing when you charge forth into a match against the pubs and realize it is not an autowin. For those that don't like it, group with some other good players when you see them queueing . With some great pugs or a good premade matches against them are generally fun and competitive. Beating a good premade in a close match is a great feeling.
  6. Unfortunately I don't think anyone knows yet. Nobody has the best gear yet so how can we tell what the difference is between that and crap. I did see someone in a wz with signifigantly more hp than me at one point that was not a tank or a Jug with their temporary endurance boost. My experience with bolster and from what I have read is that it can be unpredictable based on what you are wearing. With Bolsters unknowns at this point what if I want to adjust my stat distribution for more crit or sustained damage. I won't just be able to look at my character sheet, ill have to be experimenting with different piece ect... Finally I might not need the new gear for my old characters but what if I want to play a new character? I am supposed to grind for 180 days to get some usable gear? I'd rather not play.
  7. From a PvP perspective if it has no set bonus it is vendor trash. Since you can't craft set bonuses crafted gear is worthless. Ill be wearing my 208's for a long time. I don't think I will see a gear upgrade for months.
  8. Gear should not totally be ignored. A little stat customization is just fine as long as you can CHOOSE to prioritize certain stats. It should not just be come in whatever you can get your hands on.
  9. One of the things I am afraid of. I expect that many people will share that attitude. I will definitely be blaming BW for all the problems that come after 5.0 This was one of my first thoughts after I saw the gearing changes. I also thought of people with no gear who just hit 70 being spawn farmed in regs by premades with high end gear.
  10. It was mentioned a couple of times in the stream that Ranked WZ's would be a faster way to acquire CXP presumably so you could get gear faster. They have not released all the details yet but this still looks bad. In an Ideal environment the whole point of ranked is to get rated when you play it so people who manage to get high rating with skill or tactics are rewarded. Currently in Ranked everyone is more or less on the same playing field. There is are some minor stat differences based on preference but the expertise requirements make it so that you have a default level of gear that everyone has. Also important is the fact that it does not take a long time to get the necessary gear to do ranked through regs. You can stockpile coms from lower levels and be almost ready to queue once you hit 65. With this new system people will have to be queing ranked just to get gear so they can be competitive. How can this possibly work as intended with everyone showing up at different levels of gear? How can the rating be fair? It will be like trying to have a foot race but when the contestants show up 1 is driving a car, another is riding a bike, the third has a scooter and the final person shows up in rollerblades. Then at the end you ask who was the best runner. You would have no way to judge that because everyone just grabbed the best thing they had since there were no restrictions. And for those who say well skill trumps gear, it should but when your opponent has 15k more HP, unless they don't know their basic attack you can't really overcome that much a of gap. Can you outrun a car? This problem could easily present itself in Regs as well. With that in mind I won't even touch ranked without the best gear because I don't want to risk starting out in an impossible hole or dragging down my teammates. How long will it take to get top quality gear? Currently I can have almost any character ready when the season starts. With this new system I have to grind Command Levels before I can even get USABLE gear. Lets just assume you have to get to lvl 70 before you get the top quality gear. It will probably be higher. Now I have to grind for 70 hours(They said ideally 1 hour per crate in stream for average content which will probably be regs) and then I have to pray to the RNG gods for the next 14 hours. So for every character I want to play ranked(assuming level 70 for best gear) I have to grind 70 hours on that character so that I can even use it. You need the set bonuses which are tied to discipline for each class. That means that I can't just move mods around I need the high level armorings for each discipline which requires that specific character to have that level 70 rank before I can get it. Compared to what we have now the jump in time required to gear a character will be ridiculous. Personally I love the current system because we can move coms around and it is quick to get what you need to participate. Obviously with the new system You can't have the gear quick to get anymore because it is the best gear in the game. With that in mind I will just keep disintegrating everything I get from these crates until I hit the min level needed because for the content I want to run it will be WORTHLESS. It will be like working hard to get trash, wasting my time. I either vote for having 2 separate gears like we have now which I understand a lot of people hate but you don't have the said problems above or you could make command rank Legacy wide so that you do spend the time getting to the required point but then after that you can more easily gear up your alts. The legacy way will still take more time than what we have now but IMO it would make the new system a little more tolerable. A question for the Dev Team: What level Command Rank we will need for the top gear?
  11. Will do my best to support this on Tuesdays. Can't make it on Thursdays but I hope this gets going good.
  12. It seems like a lot of people are doing the DvL "event". Please queue regs while leveling your character.
  13. We had a bunch of matches yesterday. I swapped to pub for a minute to throw out some general announcements but did not see any interest or pub teams.
  14. It would be good to see a few Republic in the matches. I will try to switch over once we get it going and throw it out on fleet a couple of times but it would be better to have someone or group in particular that could be informed. We should get some matches in tonight though at the noted time for anyone who is interested.
  15. This thread is not about trying to make things better it is about organizing some ranked with what is a sparse population. There are plenty of other threads regarding merges and people crying about dead servers in the general forums, but that is not what this thread is about so go comment over there. You should also not assume that we are stupid and stubborn. I already moved characters to other servers but I still play here and support it. Regardless, I believe the next event would be on Wednesday the 18th correct?
