  1. Hi folks, the quest "Friends of the Republic" on Taris, Empire side, has you destroy Republic weapon caches. The bonus quest requires killing 6 Cathar warriors to stay ahead of Thana in your friendly competition in Sithology. On two separate playthroughs, the questgiver General What's-his-face and Thana failed to recognise this bonus being completed. Instead, the laurel of supreme Sithiness went to Thana.
  2. Thanks for the reply. Well I don't know about 'all tacticals behaving that way' -- since the ones I tried are, hell, even Blood Hunt itself is, inconsistent: see healing 'stations' on first boss. Coming from another angle: Why purposefully disable healing stations at all? It feels like an unnecessary extra stick thrown between the legs of people who want to solo. The FPs already take longer solo than with a group (assuming non-stealth of course), so isn't that enough of a 'solo penalty'? Why such huge roadblocks?
  3. Hi folks, was running Blood Hunt Veteran mode solo on my Juggernaut. Stuff went fine up to the couple fight in the Arena -- to my great dismay, the kolto stations were non-functional, I got a 'You must be grouped to use the complimentary Kolto station' message -- and promptly died. Is this intended (hope not) or a bug (please fix)? I'm not entirely sure what the intended behaviour should be. The first fight, for example, allows me to use the rejuvenating 'eggs'. (At least some of the) Kolto stations in Veteran Black Talon work too. What's the deal here? Thanks for the time, -S.
  4. No thanks. Horrible idea. Also, we already have a very long thread about this on the main page, so i don't quite get why we need another one. Scaling is a plague. It removes several aspects of the game which I personally appreciate a lot. a- character power growth. As a fledgling adventurer, you may find that fighting the proverbial Dire Rats is a challenge. After two years of adventuring and destroying the Big Bad in epic combat, you return to the same larder and encounter the Dire Rats again... and they're supposed to bite you through your plate armor of awesomeness +5? Seriously? b- helping lowbies. It somewhat ties in with a. If a Darth helps out an apprentice with some upstart Jedi padawan, he bloody well should be able to roflstomp that encounter. He's a Darth, ffs, and reducing him to the same power level as his friend is both nonsensical and annoying. I like boosting friends through FPs or heroics. Remove this feature and you remove a significant part of what I do and enjoy on a daily basis. c- soloing content. This is an MMO, sure -- that's why I enjoy our regular ops or HM FP groups. However, I need my time off, time to relax, and do stuff that still holds a modicum of interest for me. For example, running old FPs for pretty gear or decos. Or actually finding a different type of challenge in soloing content designed for groups. Even though I haven't played in ages, I still find some of the successes of experienced soloers on WoW impressive. Enforcing down-bolsters here removes a substantial part of what players can do when they are or want to be alone. Mind you, I can understand why down-bolsters can be nice. You don't need to have an at-level character to play with friends without vastly overpowering them. I fully support an optional down-bolster, maybe like the 12xp buff remover you can currently purchase on fleet. However I'll be seriously up in arms if they enforce down-bolsters for everybody at all times, even on a planetary basis?! I already hated that mechanic in GW2. Please no, BW.
  5. Lots of good points in here that I needn't repeat. I also dislike the downscaling idea intensely. Reading the post 2 pages ago about the experiences of a press reviewer made me sigh a deep breath of relief, even though I'm rather reserved about believing in what the sister of a friend of a thrice-removed cousin says. If it makes a difference, here's my plea for BW to make it optional at best, or to not go through with it at all. It would severely dampen my enjoyment of the game. I like feeling my character grow in power, I like helping lowbies, and I like soloing old stuff for fun between current-content-ops. Please don't do this, BW.
  6. Just posting to say that I've run into the same problem. Again, resetting didn't change anything. = quest chain breaker =/ Thanks for looking into this. EDIT: Okay, here's some more info: Successfully hacked the entrance terminal. went in, 'you are not allowed in this instance' pops up. Walk into room, Monolith not there. Walk out of the instance, back in, Monolith pops up. I kill it, console activates, finish convo with Lana. I'm not in the instance any more, which probably explains why the Monolith disappears into thin air and why no object is interactive. =/ Out and back in: 'you are not allowed in this instance' + empty room
  7. Sadly, we've not been able to make Purity fly. I don't want to lie to people by advertising an "active chat" when people stop playing faster than we can invite responsibly. I really don't know what it is that makes people stop playing SWTOR or rerolling their characters but watching the guild bleed to death even before it had a chance to grow up properly demands more of me than I can currently bear. So, thanks for the interest folks, safe travels and may the force be with you.
  8. Purity is now closed and in the process of being dissolved (see below). Would you like to slaughter Jawas wholesale while listening to a guildie sing Disney's "Under The Sea" on vent and discussing the physical (in)accuracy of laser cannons suffering from recoil? Look no further! Don't be afraid! All it takes is your soul and a little blood on this datapad... "Purity" is a recently established social guild on the imperial side of The Progenitor-EU. A number of friends split off from another guild with the determination to build a cosy home for people like ourselves. We offer: a friendly, international, open crew an active, fun, ooc guild chat mutual help with quests, fps, professions etc. casual PvE, PvP and RP guild activities a RP background based on keeping the Empire pure from corrupt and selfish elements (if you want to pursue RP further) a forum to chat and organise We seek: mature players (age >=18) who want to be an active part of a social guild (no minimum time requirement, but if you are online, you should not shy away from talking in /g) and who share our integrity and respect for others. If you are looking for a home to start a legacy in, or to further your fame, and think you would fit right in, give us a ping, either via in-game chat/mail (contacts see below) or via our forum on purity-eu.swtorhost.com (link on the right side: 'Apply to Guild'). We are naturally more than happy to have an in-game chat with you over a glass of pickled spaceworms, too. Contacts / Officers: Molaan (GM) Dalca Carnivalle (Note: Most of us are also playing alts so if those characters are not online, send us an in-game mail so we can arrange to meet up. ) (Cross-posting this also to theprogenitor.com)
