  1. I find the threads complaining because the patch is delayed hilarious. If a patch releases on time people will complain because the game is down for the patching. If a patch releases and messes things up which delays the game coming back up then people complain. If a patch releases on time and is a buggy mess then people complain. If a patch is delayed because it is a buggy mess then people complain anyways. Game company can't win. Given that I would rather a patch be delayed than have to deal with buggy code.
  2. You may well be right. My 1.5 level difference might just be from how much trash I killed along the way. I didn't keep track so I do not know which is why I look at it as a very rough estimate.
  3. I haven't had any luck finding out specific numbers or what it is on either. I was doing the preferred thing and I can tell you it IS noticeable. Unfortunately I didn't note specific numbers to figure a percentage. It seemed like playing a new character through the jedi starting area one on preferred was about 1.5 levels lower at the end than one on sub. Please realize that is a rough estimate.
  4. Remember one thing if you remember nothing else this is EA we are dealing with. A game does not have to be loosing money for them to shut it down. It simple has to be making less PROFIT than they want. The Cartel Market is what is keeping this game going. If everyone stopped using it EA would NOT revamp into a more content driven mode they would simply shut the game down. If that is what you want go ahead and keep urging people to not buy from the Cartel Market. Keep hitting them with putdowns. I learned how EA works in Long ago in a game far, far away. EA is very good at making money out of a franchise while putting out as little real game content as humanly possible. When the profit margin slims (not fails) the game is just gone with no warning. So why am I here and subscribing? I tried this game on F2P. I enjoyed it. I am willing to invest in time cards (short term commitments) to continue playing with less restriction while minimizing my loss should things shut down. I have no illusions on what EA is doing or will do. As for the Cartel Market. Anyone that plays can use it or not. Their choice. So far I use only my stipend as I have a real problem giving a company that has screwed me over in the past more money than my basic sub. At the same time I acknowledge that the Cartel Market is probably the only reason this game is not on the chopping block. Let people make their own choice but realize advocating for a boycott will just shut the game down faster.
  5. SOmeone posted this on another thread. I am guessing you need the macrobinoculars to do it http://dulfy.net/2013/04/17/swtor-mcr-99-droid-reconnaissance-achievement-guide/#4
  6. Hey I was just happy when I didn't call the Empire the horde. Thanks everyone for the help.
  7. Ty all. Off to roll my Empire toon to have a bit of a walk on the wild side!
  8. A somewhat newbie question I know but here goes. I currently have characters on the alliance side. If I then make a character on the empire side to try it out. If I don't like it can I mail the stuff from the empire character to the alliance one before deleting?
