There have been a number of times now that I have been playing, simply doing a mission, and abruptly find myself flagged for PvP without any input whatsoever on my part, and shortly thereafter, summarily murdered by some random imbecile who apparently feels that being forced to suffer my existence in their general vicinity is an insult too great to bear.
Now, if that were the end of it, I would simply write it off as whatever mental aberration it is that causes a certain segment of the PvP community to believe that their pretend person killing enough other pretend people will somehow magically redress whatever ills nature has bestowed upon them.
However, given that PvP flagging will not go away unless one sits upon one's thumbs for five minutes (in a rest zone, apparently), if I wish to remove myself from their victim list (at least until they exploit whatever glitch it is that allows them to do this once again), I am functionally removed from gameplay for those five minutes plus travel time, which is likely to be at least another ten minutes counting travel back to base and then back to wherever I was.
To add insult to injury, the straw that broke the camel's back was the fact that the last time this happened, an opposing player 12 levels higher than myself got into the base and proceeded to slaughter me repeatedly, resetting the timer each time, and doing so until a coalition of everybody in the vicinity teamed up to drive them off.
In summation; I do not wish to be flagged for PvP without my consent, as I do not wish to waste significant chunks of my playtime in the removal of flag simply because some puerile halfwit felt the need to commit an imaginary murder that would annoy someone, rather than one that wouldn't bother anyone.
