  1. Was coming to the forums to see if Conquest was bugged - only to find that yes, yes it is. Oh, and the devs don't plan to do anything about it, apparently, until next week. Since last week's Conquest was bugged for me on every character (that tried to do it) in some way, too........
  2. Same thing happened to my Sage - before the DvL event. Took a trouble ticket and over 48 hours for the completion to show.
  3. Well, Conquest points are NOT being awarded correctly on at least two of my characters (haven't had time to check the others yet). The Conquest pane clearly shows completion, the points do not. Bug reports put in - no hope of having resolution this round, though, as it is clearly stated that the reports are only looked at to see if something needs to be changed/fixed in a future update. It's not like Conquest is a brand new feature........
  4. Good point about the server re-start (not happening). I know my own playtime was in the early evening so would not have fallen in the void time between re-initialization of the Conquest and then. Still, I hope to log in tonight and find all my points happily accounted.
  5. Have to admit I've been staying away from the hyper-crates. What confused me today was the sudden influx of Lifeday stuff on Cartel Market .
  6. No, I think the points might be glitched right now. I just put in a trouble ticket - didn't receive the points for the crafting done even though it shows complete for this week's Conquest. I did receive the points for the flashpoint I ran (which finished after the crafting), but the others simply are not showing at all. Probably just a tiny bug in the system.
  7. I would have *loved* to get decorations. Instead, on a 'slinger, I got a crystal, the saber, and two pieces each of two Sith-esque armor sets: one is fugly, the other is doable - just not for a gun wielder. No decorations, nothing remotely interesting. Just older Cartel junk.
  8. Just be really careful who you decide to be your "main". I goofed up (not really) and hit 25 with my 'slinger first, not thinking about her being the only one then to get the reward crates. Of course, she got armor pieces suitable for the Imp toon I'm also taking through - and unlikely to get the rest of the set or be able to unlock. And yeah, old Cartel market junk in the boxes otherwise. pbfft Devs --- BIND TO LEGACY works very nicely. Not 'pay cartel coins to unlock IF you get all the bits and bobs'. Bind to Legacy.
  9. What this event boils down to at its base is to drive players to play KotFE. The top two levels of the achievements, including the companion of which you really don't have any meaningful input on choice, are KotFE only. And that says an awful lot about both popularity of KotFE and the seeming desperation of the devs to justify the cost of the content. Until I read that, I was a little intrigued by the event. As a responsible adult with a job and all that pesky grown-up stuff to do, I simply don't have time to take all 8 classes through (unless I short-cut - and I really detest a game that makes it nearly mandatory for an achievement - it's sloppy and disrespectful of their players). I'll gladly take a singular Imperial and a singular Republic character through, and we're planning on making this a guild event.
  10. Finally got into game after the "install a bit - 308 - end process in the task manager - rinse & repeat" dance for over 2 hours. A few minutes after I was in, received the "abort, null point" (or whatever it says) error --- but it didn't affect the game, so not knowing what that nonsense was all about.
  11. We subscribers are the only ones who have access to the new content, so still unsure what the big draw is in the advertising. Yeah, got all excited when I saw the launcher finally start updating. But it's back to getting only so far and then error 308. This is really ridiculous.
  12. After having resigned myself to no guild run tonight after all, I tried the launcher one more time. Right now it's downloading "main assets". Fingers crossed it continues to behave itself.
  13. It's not like we subs get to see the new stuff before everybody else does. Only subscribers can play the content. Go ahead and flame away, but this makes absolutely no sense. (Yeah, bored whilst waiting for Bioware to fix the stupid launcher error so I can update.)
  14. Four of us in guild have received ours, others have not. Definitely weird. Now to see if the friend's code works or not.........
  15. I have two accounts, one sub and the other preferred - both were preferred for a very long time (I love the game, but real life kept interfering), and I wanted to expand my Nar Shadda stronghold but couldn't because as a non-sub, I wasn't allowed more than 350k at any given time. (Yes, I could buy coins. Not the point.) If I had a problem in-game, I couldn't report the problem nor could I post on the forums. Since 4.0, instead of courting and tempting the f2p /preferred player, BW seems to even more aggressively pushing them away. Locking down gear rewards at the end of regular Heroics, no level cap raise, receiving gear from mission drops that require at least RotHC to use (at least I never saw/had before 4.0), crafting that allows you to create artifact level gear you cannot use yourself unless you buy an unlock or sub, and now even bonus series are locked behind both an artificially imposed level that makes no sense and the pay wall. Gaming companies need to make money to keep in business. But restricting the f2p or mid-level (preferred) more and more only serves to drive them away, not encourage them to sub and support the game monetarily. I would hazard a guess that it also discourages them from purchasing cartel coins (again, real money spent in support of the game) due to the feeling they aren't welcome, but that is only speculation. Edit to apologize: I was 'going somewhere' with all that, but somehow I got lost. Point is, BW doesn't seem to care about anyone but the sub and that makes no sense to me whatsoever. Surely it makes more sense to tempt a f2p into subscribing rather than continually putting up more blockades. Hasn't BW ever heard of psychology? If you keep telling a person they're not particularly wanted, they will leave for somewhere more welcoming rather than suddenly decide they should give over their resources (money for sub). This latest change added to the others is just one more nonsensical shove out the door.
  16. Yep, still bugged. The mission doesn't even update when you finish one of the Heroics in the line. Republic side, cannot turn in. Imperial side, cannot turn in. "You are ineligible for this conversation" is the error message though it is clear from the quest marker that the mission has been completed. Not working for anyone in my guild. I put in an in-game bug report for all the good it will do. If I had to guess, the code broke when the brilliant decision was made to auto-complete instead of physically turning in to the quest-giver (i.e. there was likely a trigger in the dialogue on the individual quests that, in turn, triggered the overall mission completion). Though the auto-complete is handy sometimes, it seems to be causing more trouble than it's worth. My two cents, of course.
  17. Yes, I did. At least *that* login worked. :\
  18. My ticket was finally answered. The class mission was reset (if it's correct or not, no idea, but right planet at least). Also gifted to me a pack of major xp boosts --- which, while I do appreciate the gesture, the boosts are about useless/unnecessary with the over-the-top leveling mechanics the devs unwisely put in with this new content update.
  19. I didn't realize there were different tiers of cc except for the additional 100 with a security key. Never dawned on me to go to the forums' Customer Service thread for such information (I would have thought it would be in the "Cartel Coin" tab on my account), nor has anyone ever said anything until now.
  20. I wanted to comment on just this bit. Agreed! BW has, unfortunately, followed the path of least resistance I've seen in many other new(er) games --- instead of balance, let's just artificially inflate everyone's hp and theoretic damage output then throw them into a variety of situations regardless of skills/no skills (a lvl 20 will not have the number of skills available as a level 50, for example, no matter how much you wish), experience, actual difficulty of content, etc. It truly is the lazy way out. The tiered system worked much better, in my opinion, though obviously some work was needed here and there.
  21. I'm a relatively long-time player though not a sub the entire time. The changes to difficulty are ludicrously over-done, in my opinion. I laughed when a guild-mate was bemoaning that he didn't even need to show up to a fight anymore, just send his companion in and the fight was over. Then I played and realized that his assessment wasn't too far off. Heroics are too easy, not "heroic" feeling at all, with a few exceptions though those exceptions may be due to my lack of knowledge of the heroic or less-than-stellar grasp of skills on some 'toons. The xp gain is ridiculous, as well. Yes, it's nice not to need to do every quest/mission in order to level before moving on. But you know what? Even on my Preferred account, if I only do class and planetary missions, I am over-level well before I leave! Granted, those side missions don't progress your class mission, but they do flesh out the game, and some are interesting/fun. This past weekend, with no xp boost whatsoever, I took a young guardian from lvl 1 to 12 on Tython with only the class missions, the only side-step was to kill two of the mini-bosses for the achievement (I was otherwise actively avoiding fights to not over-level too much). Landed on fleet, leveled. From fleet, went into Esseles, normal mode, and leveled 5 levels during that flashpoint. As soon as I stepped foot on Coruscant, I leveled again from the planet's codex entry. So, started the flashpoint at 13, without doing all the 'short cut' options in the flashpoint hit 18 and then 19 by landing with the shuttle. Before I reached the first mission start (next map on the planet), I'd dinged 20. In those areas, the devs have totally turned the game fubar. Having said that, the ability to have a healing companion at will IS really nice.
  22. Character: Pephredo Class: Sith Marauder Server: Jedi Covenant Planet: Alderaan In-game ticket first created: Dec 10, 2015 (the date may be slightly off) I had not played my Marauder for a couple months, but when I logged back in, she has no missions whatsoever under "Class" (there is literally no Class section in her log). Not sure exactly which step of the class story I was on, but I am sure I had not completed Alderaan. There is further supported by having no prompt to return to the ship or use a holoterminal. She only has a planetary mission in the log. No word from Support, have updated the ticket twice since origination, the latest being within the last few days.
  23. Actually, that link does not prove your point. It shows that the game is maturing, that revenue has declined from its early days, and that the revenue "decline" has plateaued. This is all part and parcel of economics. Having said that, I do not agree or appreciate the manner in which the devs further gated key gear behind the sub wall with the latest update. Preferred and f2p, those who need the gear the most, cannot even claim the gear rewards from heroics now (previously they could). To me, things like that seem very petty.
