For me pvp comes down to using my skill set to outplay another person/s It's just a complex version of Rock Paper Scissors which I find a lot of fun People can whinge and complain about classes bolster and gear But it all comes down to how you use your abilites to out play the competition

This is false gear is still a factor with bolster just look at all the different way to gear for max bolstered stats and skill has always been the same you either have it or you don't People that think gear trumps skill is the main reason we have bolster and it was never the case It needs to be removed from 55 pvp if you can't get you stuff together from 10-54 then I really don't want you In my pvp match.

Why do people keep referring the "grind" as some tedious task you need to do so you can compete It's not a grind for me and never has been I enjoy pvping and the gear just comes If you think pvping and acquiring gear is so painful maybe you should look at your motivations for playing Because I have never noticed it on any of my toons as it the "gear" is acquired by doing what I enjoy which is pvp.

Solo ranked is broken on so many levels It needs to be reverted into just normal wz and leave ranked to group queues only. The system with bolster in place doesn't prepare players for ranked and harbours laziness In the player base, and any bum can wonder into solo ranked which is the biggest problem. Remove arenas from the normal queues Turn solo ranked into skirmish with normal wz rewards on a seperate queue Ranked group play arenas This is the only way for this to work if you want to do ranked you need to prepare find and form groups and learn to play as a team together Solo ranked is a joke with so many random factors affecting a matches outcome players transfering servers to eg the harbinger to get quick rating as there no real competition On some servers, I have 1 guild mate struggling to get past 1200 on the bastion He transfered to the harbinger and got 1500 in a few hrs and he's not the only one I know of doing this.

All the issues stated and more have been in ranked since day one Any you're just realising this now 1 month from the season ending

Why do you think "grinding" is such an excruciating experience I mean do you enjoy pvping? Because I like to pvp so the grinding experience for me isn't painful it's a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the new tiers release.

They need to change solo ranked and make them normal arenas They are already on a seperate queue change them to skirmishes or practice ranked they are a joke in its current form with luck being the deciding factor the majority of the time, Leaving just ranked for group play which it always should of been in the first place, they also need to remove bolster from ranked. what this does is it forces people that want to do ranked to prepare their gear find and make teams develop teamwork etc Right now any bum can wander into solo ranked and it sucks.

It's called queue syncing all the cool kids do it It will usually only put 3 and 1random in a synced queue This is why solo ranked needs to be abolished and renamed To skirmish and given normal warzone rewards leave ranked to the people that can and do form groups.

I don't think it's too soon But I do agree they need to fix bolster before they release any new tiers Preferably removing it from ranked altogether. I think at the start of season 2 they should give a full set of obroan gear to every 55

I'm not speaking for anyone but myself and my guild which I'm 100%certain is awaiting the new teir I'm just stating that not everyone agrees with this petition. I play on the bastion I also run a business and have a family etc I don't play 24/7 Within the second week of season 1 i had 2 character geared in obroan Please don't act like getting gear in the game is hard. And bolster does give better stats than obroan it's been proven in multiple posts Your generalisation of people that find no issue with a new tier of gear is laughable.

I don't agree with this petition and think gear progression belongs in pvp and have no issue with this system My guild and I are looking forward to the new tier release Please don't act like you speak for the pvp community The grind for obroan well you can't even call it a grind because for some it was less then 2weeks to get full obroan Thinking there's any grind in this game is a joke. And If you don't want to grind a new set there's bolster to buff you and a pet and mount you can spend your comms on Lol but they have been in game since release and I'm sure most of you "real pvpers" already had those because you don't need gear right!

I agree with some of this bioware made obroan way to easy to get And I really hope they don't repeat with the next teir What I would prefer is they remove bolster from ranked make the new tier exclusive to ranked no comms conversion And give out a full set of obroan to every player upon hitting 55 furthermore reduce the comms reward from ranked or increase the price of each item.

While I really appreciate all the valuable input you have added to this forum highlighting the Bolster issue etc. I could never agree to the suggestions made in this thread Bolster has its place and is fine in 1-55 warzones But it has no place in ranked If people want to participate in ranked they should be made to prepare for it, this is pvp endgame Players get 1-55 to learn their stuff beyond that it should be upto them to gear correctly not bioware to provide A false reality by buffing stats that just aren't present on players gear.

Yet with bolster gear is still the deciding factor look at the mess it's become Multiple combinations of pve gear being bolstered to above te standard pvp gear conquer It bothers me because (whilst I am under no illusions that gear = skill)I still like to use work toward grind for Gear sets that improves my characters potential this is a mmo and gear progression is a must. Biowares biggest mistake was to allow obroan to be available through comms conversion additionally bolster in ranked Has no place if you can't workout how to equip the required gear before even entering ranked you shouldn't be there Just like a player in ful pvp gear shouldn't even attempt a nm op Remove bolster from ranked and if you want to pvp in pve gear and can't be bothered to get the correct gear then stick to normals.

I stopped buying it 2 alts ago I think they need to start fresh with season 2 give everyone a full set of obroan upon hitting 55 because with bolster its worthless and they may aswell just give it away, Add a new tier of gear exclusive to ranked only and remove bolster from ranked this way everyone's starting season 2 on an even field and then can work towards the new set in ranked season 2.

The empire has won the war more reps are turning to the dark side everyday I had 1solo ranked pop last night on pub side where my mates on Ts playing imps Had virtually non stop pops in solo Que My thoughts It's harder to get rating on pubs because the rep faction is dead Maybe some imps should consider playing pubs for the sake of server balance and queue times I'm sure some imps are sick of just fighting imps all day every day As for the rewards I think 1500 is fair as most players have no control over their team mates unless their queue syncing Which does happen and did happen frequently at the start of the season anyone who says it didn't is full of sh.t Solo queue suffers from so much rng I've probly lost 30games just From having Moophy enter have a sook and quit If anything the rewards should of be attached to team rating only as solo ranked is a joke And should be renamed skirmish and given normal wz comms for rewards Republic Diehard

I've noticed that a lot of abilities have audio cues that let you know When there active and I find these a lot better than watching my buff bar Is there a way to increase the volume on just those sounds as some are louder than others And some you can barely hear within combat

Well they supply everything that in game for 30cents a day And people have a hard time paying this measly sum

Does ranked happen on harbinger? I'm on the bastion when I'm On there's usually around 25-30 pubs on fleet Log over to imps and there's 130+ On their fleet a few of my guild members are now only playing on imps Because they still get a lot of ranked pops but it's mainly imps vs imps I wear my republic diehard title with pride as it's become a reality

It's still used by people in swtor every-now and then, twinks in wow refered to players who Made toons for specific pvp brackets and finding the best gear and enchants Etc for that level some people went to extreme lengths to accomplish this and usually dominated the respective pvp brackets then was made even easier with the addition of the boa gear Though twinks in swtor are not as apparent with bolster and the gear options low Level twinks with full augments etc are not uncommon.

When I left wow I had 9 level 85"s and a few twinks of various levels spread across 2 accounts There are no class quests in wow only themed quest chains so the leveling service is welcomed by many I'm sure, Plus the game really starts at level 95 and you can while leveling normally through questing virtually skip all of the bc wotlk epac content on the way to 95. It's also a big hit to the gold farmers who also offered power leveling services which blizzard have been combating for years. It will be a long time until a service like this comes into play for swtor as the level cap is only 55 not 95. The blizzard shop also only sells a few electronic items pets and 3 -4 mounts and a few services like class change, race change, name change, server transfer and account mergers and now paid leveling so really nowhere near the level of items in game

Would of been nice to know what the rewards were 6 months ago maybe ranked would be still popping within a reasonable time frame... hopefully it will pick up now people have something to work towards
