  1. I'm a level 41 Sith Assassin, just finished the second chapter. Upon arriving at belsavis to start chapter three I noticed two new locations on the list of destinations from the shuttle labeled "daily". Now I understand that daily missions are for gearing a level 50 but I am only at 41 and I haven't done either of the bonus series required to unlock those. I went to the one called "the Black Hole" just to look around a bit and it seemed I was way under level for the enemies in the area. My question is, why do I have access to these areas if I'm not high enough level? Are there missions somewhere in the areas that are more suited to me that I could use to pick up a little extra XP? Apologies if this is a dumb question. I did dig through the existing threads and stickies but found nothing that answered this question directly.
  2. Hmmm, I'm actually in the U.S. but I chose a Europe server thinking it would have less traffic and be more stable. Wrong choice.
  3. It did this a couple weeks ago and it took about two hours for it to come back. So if that holds true, we have another hour to go.
  4. Is this common with all the servers or just TRE?
  5. I did it. The stubborn SOB finally fell. I think it was mostly luck but it's done. Of course I'm now having difficulty with the first mission of the second chapter but who cares. I just wanted to thank everyone for your awesome advice and encouragement. You all rock.
  6. I'm on the red eclipse, so I appreciate the offer but no such luck. After reading all the other threads it seems the key is interrupts. I went back and got 1 more level to make me 34 and made several more attempts trying to interrupt his attacks but it's just too much to watch. When he's attacking, what he's attacking with, when my buffs run out, which interrupt is ready, trying to do damage in between, watching my own health... and all the while attempting to hit the right buttons on the flippin' keyboard. I actually did worse than when I was just spamming the buttons. It's time to admit defeat. As I said, I am a truly horrible gamer. I suppose in time I may be able to grind out the half million or so exp I'd need to really out level him. Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped. You all have my utmost respect.
  7. I'm now at around 25 tries. I've spent all my credits on repairing my gear after he kills me, medpacs, and stims. From the time I engage him to the time I'm dead is about 7 seconds flat, and then I have to wait another 20 minutes for my "heroic call on the force" to cooldown. This is becoming discouraging. I don't see how you guys are picking and timing your abilities. It all goes so fast, I usually just wind up mashing buttons. Is there a way to force Kira to tank for me so I have more time to choose what I hit him with? Apologies for my whiny tone. I sure am missing my hack & slash days in Diablo II.
  8. Wow, thanks for all the advice. I'm not sure if it matters but the boss I'm actually dealing with is . Perhaps I was mistaken in thinking he is the last one. Anyway I will heed your advice and keep at it. I'll post back when he finally falls.
  9. I'm a level 33 Jedi Sentinel. Been playing for about a week. This is my first MMO. I'm at the end of chapter one and have had no success with the last boss (name omitted to avoid spoilers) . I have all the best gear I can use at my level but after more than a dozen attempts he still kills me every time. I'm left with farming experience to try again after I'm a level or two above the boss I need to kill, but I've already cleared Tatooine and Alderan of available missions. So the question is, where can I go to pick up a couple extra levels? I should not neglect to mention that I am a terrible gamer. Couldn't even beat Super Mario Brothers on the old NES when I was a kid. LOL
