  1. SteveTheCynic, I do apologize if that last post came off rude. It was not meant to be. I do understand what you were saying. I don't know the minimal number everyone new and old, sub or not are guaranteed to have. I just used one of my toons as an example not thinking some may get confused by that number. I honestly do appreciate you clearing that up for any who it might have.
  2. You can have as few as story will allow. Kill off some. Don't do SF's. Have not gotten sub reward comps. Don't do HK chain. Not worry about Treeks contract. Don't bring back OG crew. Missed out on DVL. Turn down those who you can to join. Not do the alerts to those you can't. Spend coins on other things or just not be lucky with packs or event. Sure you don't have to have 40+. Maybe I could have reworded it. But why? Pretty sure most know what they missed, did or did not do. I don't know anyone at Max level with less than 20 comps. Not saying it's not possible, I Just know of no one who does. Thanks for the correction though.
  3. Well I like to be "That Guy". I actually like putting GTN Kiosk, appearance station,Item mod station, banks and Contraband Slot out there so any who can't or wont go out there can stand at Taxi and cry. Then again I also place Meditative padawan and Trandoshan Merc in a compromising position on top of the lookout in Yavin. But that's just me I guess.
  4. Lemme see...Arcann. Aric, Gault, 55, Kaliyo, Koth, Lana, Scorpio, Senya, T7, Theron, Torian, Vette, Zoom, Jaesa, Voreclaw, Wampa, Probe, Leyta, 2V, Ak'Ghal, Blizz, Bowdaar, Broonmark, C2, Choza, Lokin, Gamorrean, 51, Hemdil, K'Krohl, Guss, Pierce, Ranos, Nico, Rusk, Qyzen, Rokuss, Vizla, Skadge, Talos, Treek, Veeroa, Xalek, and Yunn. No, I meant 40. I have these 45 on my warrior currently. I'm one of the few still missing Quinn and Dorne due to bug so I'm not counting them. I could open Exoboar, Annihilator, and ISO as well from collections but have not just yet. Not to mention Marr and Acina I have raised to max that I can get whenever I choose. I don't really kill off comps on that one and bring back whoever I can. I'm sure at some point in the near future I'll have 50+ on that guy. That's why I'd kinda like to see Comps being used for more than one at a time. There's just so many and it seems a waste.
  5. No I get that really I do. I do see I failed to make clear what I was thinking. See it was my understanding that the Championship was meant to be a mechanics tutorial in a way to get players who have not bothered to do "boss" fights a chance to learn and see it's not as bad as they may have thought if they know the basics of their class/spec and some Boss attacks and strategies to avoid a loss. I thought it was a way to get more interested in doing group stuff. I don't see where that or even the CXP worked in a clear way to increase that. It was easy to solo and just go back to business as usual for BW's target group for that. Now let's say there was a Mode in FP's and Op's (Op's mainly but FP's would also be good so low players could start early) where the Dev's laid down a perfect run template for each. Now as you enter that mode, you build a group using companions and yourself. Upon start your companions fill the roles you chose and instead of shadowing you they take the place of the programmed template. Only your character would be free to mess up by not following the onscreen direction and commands provided for the role you take on. I truly think this would help many get past the "Know the fight" restriction, learn their roles, and become better players. This is not about getting gear (although some very low gear or vendor items would be nice to sell for repairs and be an incentive to draw in those already discouraged or returning) or not putting in work. It's about providing an in game tool to help those players get to a level where they feel more comfortable, more knowledgeable, and seeing things like "Don't be a bad" become more rare. Would not a DIY teaching tool be better than hearing someone say "Well I did watch a sniper do it on youtube" and they be a sorcerer? Sure creating an in game walkthrough like this would take time, but the end result would be less players discouraged or intimidated before they actually get in there and see it's not so bad, So many have either quit because of this or because of the lack of people who will group. Something like this could help. I honestly know of no other MMO with an in Game teaching tool like this could be. If done right and innovating it could draw in other players from other games if for no other reason than to learn how to do raids/op's w/e they're used to calling them. Some may like it enough to stay but if not, the word of mouth might draw in more that do. Worst case just the dedicated Star Wars fans stay and improve. I just don't see a down side.
  6. I think some people are missing the point. This is not a suggestion as a way to get any good drops. Those should still be group and story mode. I'm just saying a companion mode could be a walkthrough. An ultra easy boss fight setting just to get general feel for the layouts and maybe fill in gaps in story for those who just can't or won't do them. I'm positive some who fit in those categories, would change their minds and give it a try once their feet got wet and they saw the potential for fun. I do know their are some where some mechanics would have to be turned off to proceed. Call it Touring mode if it makes you feel better. Plus who said this was just for max level players. Of course at max level you can solo most any. But if you are waiting until max level to do those, you've destroyed the story of those. There are many who just skip and level, then have no idea what they missed. I really believe this could help get many interested in giving them a try in GF or Guild runs. And could help get some interested in group building and appreciating the logistics that go along with forming proper groups. No free gear hand outs. Don't be silly.
  7. I was told it was just a handful of us that are still bugged and there was nothing that could be done at this time. Near future...maybe. I insisted I was totally ok with a chain reset and I'd even take the rep loss, but no go. Can't even get anyone other than CS to acknowledge it's still an issue. My guess would be maybe 5.3 they will have something in place to get them back. If not then probably will just get them whenever the story continues. Could just sort itself out once the system tries to locate them to continue the story. We can hope at least.
  8. Some people just don't like group content. Not so much the content as the groups. Pugs are a pain and can be frustrating when you get with those who are there to speed through but you'd like to enjoy it or learn the mechanics. It's true you can easily find guilds to do those with. IF you are lucky enough to find a good one or can get a break into their core groups. Otherwise you pretty much get left to group with new players or having to go outside the guild to once again pug a group. I think a good option would be to have a lower tier where the gear rewards are set to lowest for the level where you could solo with just you and a selection of your companions to do them. I mean we now have 40+ companions at max level and this would still play as Kotor if you are a casual solo player but also help as an incentive to get out there and group to reach higher tiers and better gear. Not to mention it would just be fun to craft groups based on your comps abilities. Maybe I just want another way to shun Quinn and leave him out of the action. I'll admit it, I'm still not ok with what he did way back then and Punish has lost it's fun. I just think having options to allow many comps into a solo or story group would be kinda cool. Just my opinion and I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest this. IDK....didn't bother to check.
  9. Yeah checked it first thing. Was really all I read of the notes. As soon as I read the problem was fixed and they could be retrieved at the terminal, I closed notes, logged in and went straight there. Imagine my disappointment when they were not there and double checking my comp list. Left a ticket. Did some stuff and later logged out on fleet. Next afternoon logged on to find my toon standing back in front of terminal. Clicked on the help icon and saw I had a response from CS. Got a little happy thinking it was fixed and they placed me there to get them. No such luck. It was just their way of saying "Yep, we checked and you are right. You're screwed. Hahahahaha!!" K, they didn't say that, but that's the punch in the gut I got from it. Said there are still a "handful" who are unable to get them back, they are sorry, nothing they can do right now but be patient, it will be addressed at a latter date undetermined. Just not happy with the effort on this small bug. I demand my items off Quinn or a few free cartel packs whilst I wait.
  10. It's been WEEKS since the bug that's prevented some from getting Quinn or Dorne. Fixed twice so far and still many are without them, although to CS it's just "a handful" who are still bugged. If that's the case and all other issues that caused this bug or related to this bug are fixed, just reset the chain for the handful and let's get on with it. Instead we get just be patient. I've been patient before and issues never addressed. This is one of those issues it seems because you guys just refuse to even talk about it outside of tickets. I'm sure it can't be as easy a fix as just resetting the chain for those in need, but give us some detail and ETA on a fix. You may not see this as an issue that inhibits Game play, but it does. I have many alts and I refuse to do anything until this is fixed because I've no guarantee they will not bug out the same way. You may say, no it's fine. But you also said it was now fixed and we see that's just not true.
  11. CS is little to no help 5.1 and later. Just so many little bugs I understand there is not much they can do if Devs are just going to wait on next big patch to adjust and/or attempt to fix the issues. If they can't toss a small bit of CC's at the problem, all they have left is to say sorry and move on. This issue may just be a corrupted design slot I'd guess. I've redyed each item rather that stamping in designer but it still changes all but belt and chest. I've only 12 outfits in designer but seems this slot is the only affected. I don't wish for a perfect game. I know there's going to be issues. My only wish for this game is that Devs would take the time to address the issues openly and honestly instead of just shrugging their shoulders at the people who do invest in it. Should be fixed at a later point is not an answer. It's a start but updates and additional ETA's or information should be a priority. It's not though. Not for the small bugs. They add up though.
  12. No, CS was no help. Said it appears to be a bug that will need to be fixed in the future. I do agree it should be fine if I Dye the item rather than stamping a dye in designer. Just sux that these little things seem to always be shelved and not addressed. They are not a game breaker, but they definitely help to deter some from wanting to spend real money on the game in the future and refer real friends to commit their money to it. There are many issues that have been around since launch that are still present and takes away from the game. Just shows their not too interested in longevity. If you allow the little things to stain the game, how can I believe you care enough to really want this thing to last and grow? Gavin Rossdale said it best. Little, little, little, little ,little,little........
  13. Since Iokath patch and "back end maintenance" since, I myself have experienced so many little bugs that apparently far too small to worry about in the eyes of BW. The most recent is phantom dye replacement. This during the week where expensive dyes are featured CM items just seems far too coincidental. I've never had this happen. I can't see a reason for it. I would assume I was hacked and some cyber terrorist struck a mortal blow by switching my dye with a primary green one, but that makes me feel sorry for terrorists to believe. No, has to be yet another bug. No one is that special. I noticed before the bug that the outfit in designer I chose would auto unify even though it was unchecked and each piece individually dyed to fit the look I was going for. I would have to unify then uncheck again to get the dyes to show. Now however, the dyes do not show at all on any but the chest and the only option I have is to unify whole set to chest. Lost a pretty expensive CM dye due to this and seems I will just have to suck it up and buy another. My advice is to be careful. If you notice your dyes or uniformity not working as they did or should, just stop and switch to a set where all are set to chest. Add expensive dyes at your own risk. These little bugs are so worth the Daily area, mild story content and one boss op. Sometimes progress requires sacrifice. I'll save a spot at an alter for the next CS rep to apologize and hope I continue to pay and play.
  14. I see a bunch of people guessing it's someone who's not shown up yet. That just makes little sense to me. How can they betray you if you don't know them. Keep in mind it has to be someone all classes know and are presumed to be an ally with. I think Satele is one who it could be, but it does not fit in anywhere. Choices given for interaction with her made it where you did not have to care or trust in her to begin with. Looked female to me, but not sure if that's just their way of bringing back romance crew members. If so it's Jaesa for me. Ranos and Vette both stated how far out there she became. I was leaning toward it being Vette or Torian depending on who you allowed to die at Vaylin's hands, but that female body model would not make sense as I let Torian take one for the team. Unless **** got weird upon his return. As for Sana-Rae...could be. We have had extra convo's with her in the past and she was on Voss as well but she did not seem to upset at all the destruction so why would she now? Could be Vaylin herself back from the dead and a way to have her as a comp because so many liked her brand of psycho. IDK who it could be. Will suck though if it turns out to be as I think a return of our main romance crew member. I kinda wanted them all on at least one, but then again Vik , M1/or Pierce for Pubs already ruined that chance. Would be cool if it's Zoom using her, it's proxy ability and is still the Shroud. But that would only work for those who got her I guess. Still she needs to be able to use that ability. Like the probe droids celebrate and reboot sequence. Anyway...... It'll probably just be some random NPC you've passed in your base a hundred times and mean very little to you personally but can be seen as a betrayal because they did serve in your alliance.
  15. Well that does explain the bug. I was using Acina and had her chapter open. Kinda figured she had something to do with it and dropped it to clear out mission log and free up comp space. Thanks for the answer and hopefully fix for those who's not done it yet. For me personally, I'd take a mission reset to get it done and just be finished with it. Even at the cost of all rep gain there so far. Maybe add a terminal on Iokath to do that if the wait to fix it for us will be longer than something like that. I just wanna move on already with that toon.
  16. Yeah, I know. They'll get it fixed eventually. Was thinking the Droid I don't have is more than likely my fault since I went there and did quest below level because you could quick travel to them. That may be why they can't fix that one. Still though it would be nice to see them address the issue with a date it may be fixed or a work around if they have one. I have no problem starting the story over if they would do that so those that bugged could get their comps. Just sux that at this point I'd rather not try anyone else or do anything on anyone involving story and comp gains outside of alerts. Guess we'll just have to wait and hope it all works out before too long. Just seems this small little daily area was more trouble than it was worth IMO.
  17. Well they did answer ticket at least. Said they know of the issue and are waiting to hear back. They ended with, I hope you continue to play the game or something to that effect. Nowhere in the ticket did I stress out or say I was quitting because of it so not sure why that was said. Just almost seemed like they were saying. well it's too late now, you're screwed now. Pretty much like they said in 4.0 when I did not get the imp droid on pub toon. Said then there was nothing they could do at this time but maybe later down the road I could get him. Not gonna progress any others until I see this is fixed. Even if those that bugged are SoL perma. But have not seen anyone address the issue other than saying we know of it.
  18. Ahhh...can't say I'm sorry to hear. But only because it means it's not just me.
  19. So I did Iokath. Went Pub on my jugg since I kinda wanted another female comp and if having to choose between Dorne and Quinn, I'd gladly give up Quinn. But neither have shown up in my comp list. Have gone as far as I can there. Even did 8 of 10 dailies so far. So I submit a ticket and because I know it'll be a month before it's answered, I go to another toon. My van. He was only on Anarchy chapter but since It's far enough behind I never thought it would bug as well. Sure enough no Kaliyo when done. Do disavowed. No Jorgen. WTH!!! I'm guessing it's just a bug that will be fixed but beware. In 4.0 my Smuggs bugged out and did not get 2V-R8. Still does not have him and was told I MIGHT can get him back later via a cus rep. Just stop and wait if this happens to you. It's might be too hard for them to fix later.
  20. You answered your own question. It's because they are hidden behind their avatar. Even in this and wow's cookie cutter build and rotation systems, people like to feel they are elitists. Better than everyone else at all aspects of the game. That means trying to break you down the only way they think they can when you fail to live up to what they expect. With words and gen chat hanger ons. Personally I like to think they get beat , picked on, or ignored far too often IRL. Not because I hope they do, but because it helps me pity their up bringing and makes it easier to just look away and do something else while they rage on. Most I've found in GF are fine. It's mainly gen chat trolls who I find to be rudest and pvp chat after a loss. To some games are all they have that gives them self worth. Save ignore for those that take it to whisper, mail and those you'd rather not ever find in a group with you. Just smile, shake your head , feel sorry for them and move on to something else. When you don't react, it drives them crazy. It makes the game more tolerable and you'll find it easier to stay logged in.
