  1. Ravenous Womp Rat cannot be found in the decorations list. Figured I’d mention that here
  2. Now that the Je’daii armors and decorations are in the game, I would very much like to see Xesh, Trill, and the other Force Hound armors from Dawn of the Jedi. Shae Koda would be nice as well Would also like some more KOTOR lore sets. Raana Tey, Demagol, etc.
  3. Maybe it's your definition of MMO that is confusing me. Isn't that exactly what they did? They made an MMO, with the traditionally story focused content that Bioware is known for. It has all the other stuff PvP, raids, 'dungeons,' all that, but it's not their main focus right now and it's pretty clear given the recent expansions that it's not the main priority period. But is that what you and the others want? Them to put that stuff first? Because yeah, I think you were spot on my point - BioWare has become company skilled on the role player genre. The 'Commander Shepard is You' formula that is the core part of all of their games up to this point. Did you not want that in this game, like at all? Did you want more a World of StarWarsCraft? And the main question along with my point is that it's BioWare's brand of an RPG with an MMO, what did you all expect? And what did you really want out of a PvE focused game? I know, it's a different branch created to create MMOs, so it's not the same as the rest of Bioware...but it is still BioWare. And to add to that, what is the general consensus in Bioware of what the definition of what an MMO is?
  4. Right, then I admitted that I didn't know about the purpose behind the Austin studio's creation. As for the definition of RPG - I agree and disagree. Yes, you are playing that 'role' in Halo and COD, but the RPG genre itself is more in line with Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, The Witcher, that kind of game. SWTOR is obviously both. I mean, yeah, they lean more towards the singleplayer story and PvE, which, in my mind, is what Bioware almost universally known for. It is an MMO, it has group content, you are always online with people, and it is an RPG, with the usually deep and interesting story, player-created characters, dialogue options, stats, and the like. I think we left our original points back there some 3 pages ago and it just got lost in the posts or something, I don't know. I'm mostly confused as to why this conversation still going on more than anything.
  5. Yes...I acknowledged as much....so what are we arguing about? It's seem to me like the point he is making is that he would rather just cut the RPG part off.
  6. I must have missed your original point, other than telling me the motives for Bioware Austin's creation. I admit that I didn't actually know that, but maybe I'm still missing your point. Do you not agree with the original design for SWTOR having a story at all or is it something else?
  7. Take that up with them. Bioware Austin are the ones who created the MMORPG.
  8. You aren't expected to pay for anything. If it doesn't fit what you want, unsub, come back when all the new episodes are out a year from now, or come back as they release new episodes. I'm even considering doing the same once I level up all my alts and catch up with the story.
  9. You do realize that Bioware is an RPG developer...and that SWTOR is an MMORPG...right?
  10. I like group content - Flashpoints, Warzones, Ops, you name it - as much as the next guy. I would rather spend time being told a good, ongoing story with a character that has a personality that for the most I part I have crafted myself, with interesting characters to interact with than constantly beat the hell out of other players on PVP for literally no gain at all or do dailies, weeklies, and FPs over and over for the sake of getting credits that disappear with the outrageous GTN pricing and gear that will be useless to me come the next update anyway. I wouldn't be here if Bioware had just made more KOTOR games instead, but they haven't, so here I've been since December 2012. I've only played one other MMO in my life, and that is Star Trek Online - and that too, is primarily story. Mostly did the official story and user created quests. Did some of the event group content too, never did PVP. I enjoyed it pretty well. I've also tried World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Elder Scrolls Online....hated them all. My point is that if this wasn't Bioware and Star Wars, I wouldn't be here. So as long as Bioware continues to pump out good story for me to enjoy from the multiple perspectives of my different toons, they will have my money. Not all sunshine and rainbows though -- I really don't like some of the things they've done with 4.0. Companions are now all just shells that can fill the same roles outside of cutscenes which takes away what made them unique, people can make insta-60s which us older players had to put precious hours in to get, and it is true that it has gotten much easier to play through areas.
  11. Don't know if you know this, but we've only seen the first 9 chapters. There's at least 7 more on the way. My Sith Sorcerer, Darth Xyphis, has always been very adept at survival. When Valkorion killed Marr with little more than a flick of the wrist, Xyphis knew his only way out of that was to bow, and he did. Didn't really work out how he planned... Xyphis doesn't really like Koth or Senya, holding them accountable for helping Arcann steal 5 years of his life, practically reduce the Empire he had been working to save, and for killing his best pal Darth Marr. Xyphis is absolutely loyal to his friends, and would probably do just about anything for them because he knows they would do the same. His greatest strength and weakness is probably his love for them. They are 'his people,' and he would do anything to keep them safe, even at the expense of others. Xyphis used Valkorion's ability to save Lana, his girlyfriend, and really only person he trusted. He also used it during the fight with Arcann, even though he knew that there would be a tremendous loss of life on Asylum, he did what he had to do. Which is interesting considering that during Revan and Ziost, he had always considered the Emperor a being that needed to be stopped, his powers perhaps too powerful. But now that he is able to use them at his disposal, he can't stop using them for his own ends. Xyphis is the man who will burn Arcann, Vaylin, and everything they hold dear to the ground. As for my Jedi Knight, Thancen, he has a very complicated history. He was a bit of a wild card during his early years, having committed some dark side actions during his time on Tython and all the way up to where he was turned by the Emperor in the class story, such as killing Sith and other enemies that were at his mercy. After that, he strove to do good, discovering that fight the Dark Side with the Dark Side only makes the world a bit darker. Aside from his hidden marriage with Kira Carsen, Thancen has managed to be consistently light side throughout the rest of the game. He has never used Valkorion's ability, instead having faith in his friends to watch out for one another, and having confidence in his abilities to defend himself. Thancen doesnt' want to the kill Arcann and Vaylin, but hopes he can instead make them see the light and become good. But he is prepared to do what he must.
  12. That is strange. I've gotten the appropriate letters from Kira and Ashara, so I don't know what to tell you. If you want, you could try posting it in Bug Reports and see if Bioware has anything to say about it.
  13. Yavin IV story shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, maybe less.
  14. Allow us to remove dyes from armor pieces, and make them bound to legacy or add them to collections when we use them so we can get them again. Some of the dyes you can't get anymore without dishing out a crapload of credits on the GTN, and the ones you pull from the packs are just a bunch of colors that look hideous on any given armor piece.
  15. Yeah, not a big fan either. I appreciate the references to KOTOR, I really do, but this is just pushing it. Keep the layout of the dialogue system if you wish, but please add the voices.
  16. After the conversation with Colonel Gorik where he tells his soldiers to attack me in the hangar, it just resets as if I haven't spoken to him yet. I have gone through the conversation mutliple times, I've tried relogging, shutting down the game, resetting the quest, just about everything I can think of. But I can't continue the Trooper story. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. EDIT: Seemingly resolved itself after I chose a different dialogue option.
  17. Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior work best imho, as they both deal directly the Emperor in their class stories. Smuggler, Trooper, Agent, and Bounty Hunter really feel out of place though
  18. Yeah, this has been an issue since SoR released. Even in regular mode, one person gets knocked off the arena, the entire fight resets. Bioware really needs to fix that
  19. So....just so I can get this straight....I don't have to go through PVP if I am playing the class that the companion originated in? For instance, I can get Pierce without playing PVP as a SW, and Forex without playing PVP as a Trooper? I wouldn't really mind playing PVP, but I hate almost all of the game modes and everyone I wind up in WZs with is an *****hole. I'm more of a story/PVE person anyway, but as long as I can get my previous class companions without playing PVP I'm cool with that.
  20. Hopefully Xalek gets a fix too. Can't access him on my Sorc
  21. Yeah, I got to Chapter 6 without doing any of the side missions available, and hit 65 right as I got to Asylum, with a max Guild XP Boost and a consumable XP Boost. We need lower XP gain in those missions, or we need a new level cap.
  22. I've already beaten the first 9 chapters on 1 toon, working on my Jedi Knight character now. I left to come to the fleet during Chapter 6, and I'm ready to progress with the story, but I can't. I click the play episode button, and it just teleports me the fleet. I've tried relogging, tried restarting the game, and it still does it. It's like I'm using a fleet pass. I get the loading screen, which has the Asylum art, but it takes me to the fleet. It all still works on my other characters fine. Any help with this would be appreciated. EDIT: Issue has been resolved
  23. How do you acquire Senya's set? And I know you can get the armor with that, but can you send it to a different toon? I don't really want to make a level 60 character because it doesn't let you pick your major choices, lacks the titles, etc.
