  1. Hi, I am Digital Janitor and I am a GSFaholic. I have not played ground game in about a year I think. I have not even finished the newest content, I got to a point and needed some object that I just did not care to look for so I stopped and have not gone back. Having said that I do feel that allowing people to gain Ground Game advantages would be a plus for those who do play the ground game. While some steps have been made to help tie the two together I think it could go further. Not having played the ground game much recently I relay should not try to give any details or opinions. I do think that if you create a vendor you should allow people to purchase items using SHIP req. Additionally add some more paint jobs, laser/thruster colors, etc. and let us use SHIP req to purchase them per ship. More decos would be great and I like the idea of master ships being able to be placed in a stronghold. That would drive me to master other ships for sure. Then I might find I like that ship once it's built up.
  2. Well here it goes, my two cents... Is the learning curve to steep to get into? Yes! I played for a year before I found out about the F keys, as an example. I must have missed that part in the tutorial if it's there. Additionally the tutorial is not a good example of how GSF actually works. Allow 1 vs 1 matches that will allow people to go at each other if they want as well as allow a person to help teach a friend. Understanding how you should build your ship can take some time as you have to read what each thing will do for you to make up your mind what you want to do. Is ship balance preventing you from playing? NO! I play, but the ships are balanced from what I can tell, other than the strike fighter but you know that already. I suspect that it's the pilot skills that are unbalanced. Are you not playing because you feel GSF needs something new to bring you back in? I play, but I do feel that GSF needs a few things like... The ability to have 1 vs 1 fights. This would allow people who want to do GSF when it's not popping to pair up and fight each other. A better way to get rid of players who are just sitting around. Allow 1 person to vote them off if they are not contributing and have less than 2K damage done, 2 if they have less than 3K damage, and 3 if they have 3K+ in damage. This would allow players to be removed easier if they are just sitting around to get their daily done. Random asteroid and structure creation so the map is different to a degree, even if the sats are in the same place. Allow for smaller groups to play a match using the que. 4 vs 4 would help get more pops from the que, this may require smaller maps to pull off. Let us use ship req to purchase cosmetics per ship. I can understand needing fleet req to purchase a new ship for your fleet but when you want to change the cosmetics on one ship you should be able to use ship req. I don't care what my strike fighter looks like, I don't fly it and I have almost 2 mil in ship req on my GS. Matchmaking issues? Frankly matching is what it is. People complain about premades but the bottom line is that even if you forced everyone to que solo they would still be using voice chat to organize and that is what makes it hard sometimes. Do not allow ops groups to que as one team or that will be messed up. If you had 12 people all in the same chat room using voice the other team would not stand a chance. All ops groups should be split and forced to fight each other. The fact that GSF is character based and not Legacy? No thoughts here....
  3. Well I have not read all the posts but I read enough to see repeated information and most of the ideas seem like good ideas. I don't agree that the ships are all that unbalanced other than maybe the strike but I don't play it much. I play a GS most of the time, scratch that, all the time and this is what I see. With my GS I can take a strike out in 2 shots, sometimes, but other times I can hit that strike 3 or 4 times and he is still banging it out. I assume it's the way the ships are built and the crew used that makes the difference. Bombers are fun to pick on with my ion cannon but they take a few hits with the rail gun to put down 95% of the time. I have had those that just try to run and most of the time I can take them out but I have also had the bomber pilot who knows that the heck they are doing with the way they built their ship and they leave dust where my GS was sitting. Scouts, I can't tell you how often I fire and fire at some of those buggers and can't hit a thing. Gotta love evasion. With a scout it's about a 50/50 toss up if the pilot knows what they are doing. There are some pilots that just manage to get the upper hand with me and it's always the same pilots so that leads me to believe that if you know what your doing a scout vs a GS is a fair fight as well. As far as damage overcharge I know I have had both scout and strike take me out in no time with DO so if you nerf that for GS you have to nerf it for all ships. I don't think it's a good idea to do that. As for my wish list, 1 on 1 fights! You could use the toon context menu to start the battle.
